We spent 4 days and 3 nights at Hotel Costs Azul! Rooms are small but modern & super clean. Sun deck is also small but fit for purpose with a great view over the marina. Breakfast is delicious with a big variety of food. The location was perfect for us who wanted to walk around, walking to the cathedral and old town and in the evening it was close to many good restaurants in the neighborhood. Fast and service minded staff made the stay even more pleasant! Perfect hotel for couples or friends, not so much for children.
Hotel with a view on the Marina and Palma Cathedral! Very well welcomed by a friendly staff! Rooms are well designed and comfortable! Breakfast buffet is excellent with eggs of any kind cooked on demande! Pool little and not cool, must be nice after April !
This hotel is very overpriced - well the location is ok and the hotel is rather new, but it is cold in the decoration style. We stayed 3 people at 2nd level with seaview in a very big 2 bedroom / 2 we room, but the balcony was so small and had only 2 chairs (for a room suited for 4)!!! and the noise from the street so terrible that it was not even worthwhile sitting out on the balcony - as it also had a very poor and narrow view - we actually paid for something we definitely didn't get. The breakfast was ok - but nothing to brag about - basically the same as every 2 or 3 star hotel. They call it Show Food as an employee is standing in the middle of the buffet an can make you an omelet or fried e.g. - is that food show - then I'm a Hollywood star !!!!! At €330 per night you can surely find better hotels.
Fantstic location overlooking harbour, good views of Cathederal. Very clean. Breakfast amazing. Pool area gets very crowded, pool very small. Staff on the whole friendly and helpful. Bar area/ restaurant lacks atmosphere, very clinical. Overall though very convenient and comfortable place to stay. Would definitely stay again. Beware stag/ hen party's at weekends.
Hotel is situated on busy road overlooking harbour/marina, although traffic didn't keep us awake (room at side). Very clean and staff helpful (expecially Jorge, who had to cope with orders of 23 drinks at anyone time!). Within walking distance of Old Town but we mostly took taxis (average €8). Just a couple of other points, shower bases in bathroom are very slippery, not just me but several members of our party mentioned this. Also had to ask for door key to be re-processed on several occasions - bit of a nuisance when you're on the 6th floor! Bar drinks very good value. Overall a pleasant experience.
We stayed in this excellent hotel for a week with another couple from the far North of Norway, and we wish we could have stayed longer. The wheelchair accessible room 114 was perfect for my wheelchair dependent wife in every possible way - they had thought of everything ❤️ All the staff were smiling and serviceminded, from reception to cleaning to breakfast and bars. I just want to mention three of them: 1. Always smiling and efficient Sonia, who took action and fixed a breakfast table my wife could move her wheelchair under. 2. Daylin, with such a warm Cuban smile everytime we met her, she could even mix drinks. 3. Raphael, the frying chef, who kept calm and steady frying eggs, bacon and omelets in front of "starving" Scandinavians. As you understand, we highly recommend Hotel Costa Azul, and we will certainly stay there next time we go to Palma, ideally located "A LA PLAYA"
Travelled here at Easter for a 3 day break. Check in was easy, room at first floor sea view level was clean ,modern and thanks to the double patio doors very quiet Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and hot food cooked to order.the coffee was not the usual weak stuff you normally find in hotels but nexpressocoffee cartridges. Hotel is ideally situated opposite the marina and only a 15 min walk into the town centre. The airport bus stops right outside the hotel so a quick transfer from the airport Will definitely return for another short break Stayed April 2017, travelled as a couple
I have recently (30th April - 5th May) stayed at this hotel for the first time with a friend, so these views are both our opinions. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city, about 15mins amble away along the promenade. It is opposite the bus stop for the city centre and a single ticket from the driver costs E1 50c. Residents travel for 65cents, so they rip off tourists - I think that is illegal under EU law. We were checked in very quickly by friendly staff. There is a city tax to pay upon arrival which amounts to E2 40c per night, The hotel is right on the marina promenade with wonderful views of the harbour, but be aware that a six lane busy highway is right by the front door. On the other side there is a well used cycle track, but everyone cycles along in the correct lane at a reasonable speed(can you image that happening in the UK - me neither) My travel companion was on the 2nd floor (200) and his balcony door had double, double glazing which meant there was no traffic noise whatsoever. Whereas my room was on the 4th floor with a normal balcony door I could hear the incessant noise of the traffic below right into the early hours. Both bedrooms were almost identical in size and very clean with both light in décor. Bathrooms were spacious and always clean with some basic toiletries. Plenty of towels of good quality. Upon arrival we had 2 small bottles of still water and 2 small bottles of juice in the fridge, free of charge. They are not replaced. Bedrooms were equipped with a free digital safe and plenty of coat hangers in the ample wardrobe space. The bedrooms themselves were spacious. However, there was only one chair, if you were a couple and not much spare space on the dressing table. Whether it was one person or more, there was ample space for a small table, which would be an improvement .Both of us thought the beds were not very comfortable and could do with a better quality mattress. At ground level was a small lounge by reception and the breakfast room. Breakfasts were adequate but with a limited selection of cereals. On two days, very early on, they ran out of apples and bananas. None to replace them that we saw. There was a relatively small selection of chopped up fresh fruit on platters with a tinned selection of other fruit. They were rather slow to replace the platter fruit. The chef was readily available to freshly cook your eggs, bacon and tomatoes etc to order. Also situated at street level was the Embat Restaurant and Bar. Most nights they had a specials menu. We had an evening meal of soup and salmon with garnish. Very tasty and served by ever friendly and helpful staff, Whilst all staff we met were 5star, we felt the general ambience of the hotel was not 4star, but a good quality 3 star.
Fantastic location. Great view over the harbour if you have a premium room. Sun roof with pool is a nice feature. Rooms are modern and clean - but a bit small (bathrooms are spacy though). Friendly staff.
Stayed for 3 nights in April. Hotel is very clean, contemporary with a nice terrace at 3rd floor. Rooms were simple but nice with our room having a lovely view over the Marina. We didnt stay for breakfast but the terrace food , drink and service was excellent. We will definitely stay at the Hotel on our next visit to Palma.
