A beautiful hotel where I last stayed in 1998. It was fun to return to Palma 20 years later and see all of the changes that have taken place. Happily, the hotel remains beautiful. The decor is tasteful, the staff is lovely and the food is really delicious. We found the staff very attentive, in general, to our needs. Some issues we think warrant comment: two electrical outlets in our bathroom were not working. We notified staff, but this was not corrected during our stay. More seriously, on July 16, during breakfast on the terrace, a metal chair arm gave way as I leaned over to pick up the lid of a jam jar that had fallen, and this loose chair arm hit me very hard in the ribcage; it was very painful. I notified a staff member and they removed the chair from service. The pain worsened upon my return to the USA and I had to go for [and pay for] X-rays to rule out a fracture.

We had flown in from CA and wanted a good night sleep and it was impossible due to very loud noise from people partying on promenade.

Hotel is nice and very professionally/classy. I am not referring to as a median customer but as one who has been always paying extra for a good place to stay and excellent service. Personnel are well trained to ease your stay. From housekeeping to bus boys to front desk...they are up to par....no fake socialization to mask unprofessional work ethics and service. The Hotel is on the expensive side but you get that classiness lots of expensive hotels are ever so trying very hard to achieve but miserably fails. The place is indeed a pampering place to be. Enjoy!

really was a very nice room, staff were awesom and reasonable price for quality!

Really great hotel. Highly recommend harbor view, beautiful view for sunrise, if you are up for it. It's about a mile walk to the city center but it is a beautiful walk. Very friendly staff, great rooms and outstanding quality. Can't go wrong.

I was worried that this hotel would be too far from the main tourist attractions in Palma, but I was wrong. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the Cathedral. Even though I would like to be closer, the amenities of the hotel made it worth it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was amazing and all areas of the hotel were very clean. We did not take advantage of the restaurant or the pool bar, but I've only heard great things about them. My only complaint is that the hotel room could have been cooler, but it wasn't hot or even warm by any means. I just like to sleep with it really cool in my room. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Mallorca.

The Gran Melia Victoria is a very nice hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and our room was extremely clean and nice. At check-in they saw it was my husband's birthday and sent a bottle of champagne. The hotel is located a little outside of the historic center, but it is a nice walk along the water (maybe 15 - 20 mins) to get to the cathedral. My only negative would be that, although the hotel is extremely nice, it is maybe just a little bit "80's", as is much of that area of Palma. But hey, just pretend your last name is Carrington. I did see on many reviews that the hotel has a lot of noise. We were there off-season, and there was no noise...but there are many bars and clubs in the area, so it has the potential to be a little loud, I'm sure. All in all, a great hotel with wonderful staff!
