Hotel was nice, lobby area was lovely, clean and welcoming. Lifts were quick and always available. Borrowed a kettle from reception no problem. Sky bar had really lovely views. Room nice and bathroom had a good quality finish. Would happily stay here again. Good location and staff seemed professional and really helpful. Front outside cafe very slow service unless your Spanish to the point of rude. They didn’t even hide the fact. Prices are good and the product seemed of good quality but based on the shocking service I wouldn’t use again. Would recommend staying at this hotel.
We stayed in this hotel for 11 days. We were impressed by the reviews in advance and they didn't let us down. The service from the hotel was very good - the staff at reception and in bars was excellent and had good English. Even when reception were busy another one of them would come out and deal with you quickly. Reception Staff helped us with restaurant recommendations (no strings) on all budgets, best beaches and also hiring a car (the company they recommended in the same street was excellent and hassle free). Although the staff did book the car with the company we weren't put in their diary but they got us a car. Check this if you go through the hotel. Also if you want parking in the hotel (16 Euros for 24 hours) book it when you reserve your car. Yes the parking is expensive but standard for a city. The hotel itself is lovely - great location. It also had good pool areas with enough space. Gorgeous roof top bar and an excellent restaurant too - very fish based menu and excellent quality food. Again good staff. We had a room at the back which looked inwards to the pool so no noise from the street. What I would say is there is the practice of folk leaving stuff on sun-beds to 'keep them booked' for hours even though no one is using them. Although the staff say they don't allow this and will remove items they don't. I guess they don't want to come into conflict with guests. This is fair enough. The hotel guests should police this themselves and not leave stuff on beds for hours on end. They don't sadly. A lot is said about breakfast in this hotel - we didn't go for it - it was 17euros per person in advance and I have no doubt it is amazing but it is expensive. Attached to the hotel is a little cafe that does a very simple pastry /croissant coffee for 2/3 euros. And another breakfast place is out of the hotel and turn right. But as I say I understand that the hotel breakfast is very extensive. One thing I would say is that service at the pool is slow. This isn't the fault of the waitress / waiter there is clearly a lack of staff in the kitchen (which serves the hotel for breakfast). So your order gets taken but takes an age to come. You can ask for a kettle or take your own to use.
Our second visit to this hotel chosen mainly for location, quality of rooms and service. Staff in my opinion are key to the Saratoga success particularly reception and those serving breakfast. However breakfast although very good was on several occasions a "do it yourself" experience due to lack of staff. Getting cutlery and napkins is not expected and clearance of dirty dishes from tables very slow. We had a pleasant room at the front of the hotel but disappointed and surprised at one complimentary bottle of water and two coffee pods. I'd expected more from a reputed hotel with 4 star rating. Nevertheless an enjoyable weeks stay.
A fantastic hotel. Great location, superb breakfast, glamorous roof top bar, lovely pools. All very good and a great choice for a stay in Palma. But what stuck in my mind was the really friendly and warm welcome at check in and throughout my 3 day stay. I really felt like they looked after their guests, unlike many other hotels I have stayed in. It set the tone for a lovely stay.
What a lovely hotel find this was for our week's holiday! We arrived on the Sunday and our junior suite was not ready yet but that was fine, we changed quickly in the toilets and gave our cases back to reception who advised would be in our room ready for us at 3pm. We went for a little walk to scope out our surroundings and back to the hotel where we had lunch downstairs, which was lovely. Our junior suite (426) was lovely and really clean, I really liked the decor in the room but as always in hotels I wish there was a plug near the full length mirror! The pull out bed was a little thin and hard to get on and off without hurting your legs on the metal frame. I was only staying in my parents room for 3 nights until my partner arrived on the Wednesday. Our room together was on 5th floor (519) which is a lot more noisier than the 4th floor but a much darker room than the suite which was all white, 519 was all dark wood with hints of pink and red, still very modern which we loved. Breakfast was amazing choice, I mainly had pancakes everyday as they were so good. I wish there was bigger glasses for the juice instead of having to get up so many times! I liked the fast the rooftop pool did not open till 10am so you weren't getting people reserving them then going to breakfast. Although it is small you can normally get a sunbed and there is always downstairs pool too. I think a lot of people would prefer if they took away some of deck chairs and put more beds. Another thing is I think the baby pool would be better suited downstairs, I love kids don't get me wrong, I am currently pregnant but I just don't feel like it was suitable and as the bed are so close to the pool it was hard not to get splashed or control the noise. Personally I would not bring my child to this hotel. All in all we would definitely use this hotel again if the price was right but I do like trying new hotels out too.
We had a most pleasant stay in Hotel Saratoga recently. Due to a fact so much is already said about this excellent hotel by other rewiers earlier, we’ll be short. The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways; e.g the location, beautiful and well kept public areas, beautifully decorated room, tasty breakfast and food quality in the restaurants, but what really made the difference was the service level and attitude of all staff of the hotel. We are not aware of a program the management may have in use in terms of motivating the staff, but we were amazed of the results. No doubt we’d be choosing Saratoga again for our nexy stay in Palma. Room tip: deluxe rooms on level room overlooking Palma bay.
The Saratoga is situated on the edge of Old Town Palma, which is the prettiest and most interesting area to explore. It has easy access to shops, including high street stores, souvenir shops and Shops with genuine Spanish goods. There is a huge variety of restaurants nearby to suit all tastes. I didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant as it didn’t suit my budget and so I can’t comment on the quality but the Sky Bar has a lovely atmosphere and amazing views. The roof top pool and bar is small but was never crowded during my visit. The views make you smile and I especially liked it at night when everything, including the cathedral was lit up. The ground floor pool and sunbathing area is excellent with a selection of luxury 4-poster sun loungers, normal recliner sun beds and chairs. Again, it was never crowded and several times I was able to get myself a luxury sunbed and they are so comfortable with optional curtain shades. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and they were always calm, even when it was busy. My room was a really good size, air conditioned and had black-out curtains, which in my book is a major bonus as I need a dark room. The walk in shower was great with the option of rainfall or removable shower head and was so nice it was difficult to get out! Towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided and there is a minibar. I took the minibar items out and used the fridge for my own drinks because I’m naughty! I didn’t ask if it was possible but the only thing I missed in my room was tea and coffee making facilities. The room was exceptionally clean! I loved staying in this hotel and this will be my hotel of choice when I next visit Palma.
Three adults and a six-year-old stayed for four nights in a family suite and couldn't have been happier. The room, with a twin/double and large sofa bed, plus a balcony, was ideal for our needs, and was well air conditioned in the very hot weather. The hotel is perfectly placed for exploring Palma and within walking distance of everything to see and do. There is a cafe in front of the hotel for snacks and light lunches, where the service was decidedly slow, and a Sky Bar on the roof where the staff were charming and professional. We had lunch there most days (by a roof-top swimming pool) and a very good dinner. We also met friends there for a late drink one night and were treated to spectacular views over Palma, from the cathedral to the marina. The lovely main pool is on the ground floor. There is also a large area with sun beds, where you can have breakfast. This review would have been five stars but for one or two niggles: the service in the pavement cafe and the room cleaning, which one day hadn't been done by 4pm and required a complaint. The front desk staff were excellent, and dealt promptly with all our requests. We look forward to staying at the Saratoga on future visits.
Location perfect. Room nice and tidy. Beds comfy. Staff friendly. Rooftop pool area, perfect. Breakfast amazing. Can't ask for better than that hence 5/5. Just wished we could have stayed longer than the day and a half.
We stayed for 9 nights in this recently refurbished hotel. Whilst it was only a 10 minute walk to Plaza Espana we had a 6th floor room with great views over Palma Bay, marina and Cruises. The breakfasts offered extensive choice and great quality-some mornings there were extra options featuring local fruits meats ,cheeses, meats and ensaimadas. We used the ground floor solarium during the day which was spacious and had ample sun beds and shady areas and gym if required. We used the Sky Bar on the top floor for lunchtime drinks and we had two of our evening meals at the gourmet restaurant. Perfectly situated for the sales (it was July) with plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. There were plenty of staff in all areas to help with all your requirements. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Have booked again for next year
