Under normal circumstances, the hotel should be rated as a good one (maximum three stars), but allowing for the bargain price for our three nights and breath-taking views from our room balcony, I am happy to award it an extra star. Thank you for making our Xmas so merry.
had to stay somewhere near malaga for one night. This hotel was OK for that. Nice situated near the beach where there were a few OK restaurants. Rooms qlean. Service OK. They do have parking available behind locked gate.
A clean and bright hotel. The rooms are a fair size and the location is wonderful, right on the beach. There is a lift to the rooms and parking is available out the front. The breakfast buffet didn't look very good, we gave that a miss. We like the value for money
Stayed in Hotel Elimar for 6 nights in September. We were given a sea view room on the 6th floor eventhough we had not paid the extra for a sea view - which was great. The sea view rooms have sun on the balconies all day while the street view rooms get no direct sunshine. The hotel was a bit dated - however, we were very pleased with the our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Toiletries replaced daily. Towels replaced daily if requested. The mini-fridge and free wi-fi were a huge advantage. Air-conditioning also worked well. The in room safe can be rented at a reasonable rate. We booked room only but had dinner in the hotel on 3 nights. There was a good choice of starters and main courses available at a reasonable set carvery rate. The price included one drink per person - however deserts were poor and tea/coffee was not included. The hotel is conveniently located at the edge of a strip of bars and restaurants. There is a good supermarket up the hill and to the left. Prices in the bar were reasonable. One item on the hotel in room information is misleading - it advises that hotel room towels should not be taken outside but towels can be rented for €1.50 per day, so we bought 2 towels to use on the sun-beds only to discover that the €4 per day charge for the sunbed included use of a towel whether you use it or not. It is a good 3 star hotel.
Booked this hotel (me/wife/7yr old) just as a base (Bed/Breakfast) to explore area of Spain that I had not previously visited. The Hotel was what I expected, however it did excel in other aspects such as the Staff attention, cleanliness of rooms and general helpfulness of the overall team. Breakfast catered for our family i.e. basic continental; however do not be expecting any English fry-ups. You can have a wander out should you want to eat this! I had booked a Seaview room (and as people have already mentioned) and absolute must have for our stay. Aircon in room was a godsend, and room cleaned every day. Only gripe I may have is bed was a little hard for me, but still managed to get myself off to sleep. Sunbeds €4 daily run from hotel. Special mention to Sheila in the daytime bar who really made our son feel welcome! This Hotel caters for a certain budget, and as long as you do not expect the Ritz you will be ok!
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Elimar for 4 nights in July. The rooms are very simple but extremely clean! Pay a little extra and get yourself sea view room- it'a worth it. As for the location it self, Rincon is a quiet town but you can get a bus (number 160) and be in Malaga city centre in about 30 minutes. The beach is nice however there are big sharp rocks in the water so be careful if you're planing to go for a swim. Overall it's a good hotel, you get what you pay for so don't expect luxury, but if you're looking for a clean, economic and pleasant hotel then I recommend this hotel for you.
My daughter and I stayed for 9 nights in july. We were a little wary as some of the reviews were not so good but we were pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotel was a little tired in places and wasn't perfect by any means but the people and the location more than made up for it. It was clean, the staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly and we felt at home straight away. I defy anyone not to find something they liked in the continental buffet breakfast with a huge range of cereals meats, cheese eggs and cakes as expected. My only minor suggestion would be the addition of another toaster perhaps to ease the wait on busy mornings. We had a 5th floor seaview corner apartment and stayed 9 nights . Pay the extra for the seaview, it's spectacular. With all this plus breakfast the price we paid was insanely cheap so I can forgive the dodgy wifi and the lack of tv channels. We had a fantastic time in an amazing place and can't wait to go back!!
We stay there for 7 nights in room facing the beach with balcony. Clean and quiet rooms , bathroom need refreshing . We liked breakfast was good enough for us , we not going to Spain to eat full English... Slow wi-fi , charge for sun beds in fron of hotel. Very good location close to the shops and town , Despite minor issues we liked our stay in this place and we would come back again .
Not a nice hotel I am afraid and the breakfast was something to forget. This hotel is situated in a quiet area and is used by mainly local tourists. The rooms are reasonably roomy and kept clean but they only change things if they have to (towels, soap etc). Bathroom is usual size, nothing special with a curtained shower. The bathroom had no window and no fan so you have to keep bathroom door firmly shut otherwise the bedroom starts to stink. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. The gentleman on reception speaks good English and the young lady gets by. Wifi was free and available throughout the hotel. I 'bought' breakfast on first morning as my booking did not include breakfast. Boy, was that a waste of 7 euros. Most of the food was not suitable for non-local tourists and the food that was laid out was of inferior quality. There was a small fruit basket with 2 sulken oranges and an apple or something; come on Spain is a major fruit producing country and they cant afford to lay out decent fruit. Location-wise, you step out of the back of hotel and you are on the sea-front where you can take walks or use the beach. The sea-front of is of the quiet type, not like Ibiza etc. Step out of the front door and you are on the main road where you can catch taxis and buses; the bus-stops are right outside the hotel. I would say getting to malaga on bus is a bit of a trek if you are thinking of travelling around because you have to go to Malaga to get anywhere.
Fantastic location 2 min to the sea. I had a room with a sea view and it was lovely to be woken up by the waves. Hotel itself a bit neglected, in need of decorating. Near hotel a promenade , plenty of restaurants. On the other side a bus stop , which will take you to the centre about 40 min. I was travelling solo and really enjoyed the serenity.
