Nice hotel, every day the room is cleaned, breakfast at a very affordable price (9 euros) normal price 12 euros. I think the buffet shoudl have more variety but still is perfect for the price. I would repeat this hotel without hesitation.
1st time travelling to Madrid and wouldnt hesitate staying here again. Rooms spacious for European sizing and main city centre a nice 20min stroll away to Colon area. Nice bars and shops along route that were traditional and less touristy than centre. 1min walk to metro. Hotel has all facilities you would expect. The only drawback is there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room otherwise could not be faulted.
My husband and I stayed at Hotel Zenit Abeba this past long weekend when we were in Madrid for a friend's wedding. It is a wonderful hotel! Very clean and contemporary with spacious rooms. There is a bar in the lobby where you can get drinks or coffee any time. And they have a restaurant where you can get a great buffet breakfast. There is also a Metro stop a few hundred yards from the hotel. Most importantly, the staff were excellent. Ita in particular who worked the front desk, was so friendly and she did several things to make our stay easier. We had a one night break in our hotel stay to attend a wedding in another town. Ita graciously arranged to keep our large luggage for us overnight while we were away. She was always friendly and helpful. All of the staff were friendly as well. I would highly recommend Hotel Zenit Abeba if you are staying in Madrid.
We have been to Madrid the previous year so decided to stay in another district. Having read reviews we decided on Salamanca as it was described as tree-lined with an upmarket feel. We arrived to what looked a rather shabby area not the 'Gran Via' experience we had hoped for. The hotel was more business like than boutique, staff efficient but not particularly friendly, rooms dark and very small, on a positive note the bathroom was a good size and well appointed. The metro station was handy at just a couple of minutes walk away. We didn't stay around the area but instead gravitated to our preferred Gran Via and Sol. We will be travelling back to Madrid next May but will not be staying in and around this particular area.
Lovely 4 star hotel - clean, contemporary. Very friendly staff who went the extra mile. Excellent buffet breakfast.Metro station 2 minute walk away. Lovely, leafy area for walks - fairly quiet but easy to access city centre. Some nice bars, cafes, restaurants and shops nearby too.
Great hotel in the heart of Madrid's Financial District. Lived here because my friend was living just a few blocks away. Room was quite big (I got a corner room), modern and very clean. There's a couple of restaurants nearby and also a Metro station 3min. away.
Hotel is modern and clean. Location is quite good. It's not really close to the most turistic spots like Puerta del Sol, but it's really well connected (we went walking anyway). It is, on the other hand, quite close to a lot of restaurants and the neibourhood is very nice as well.
The hotel was very modern and clean, with everything you could possibly wish for. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and comfortable rooms. The location is perfect to jump onto the metro to get into the centre and waking distance to the nearby WiZink Centre for concerts.
Stayed for 3 nights, beds were comfortable but in my view room size was small. Staff really helpful and near a metro station 10 minutes to the centre of Madrid. Didn't try breakfast but looked nice, hotel in a quiet area.
We stayed at this hotel as part of a 10 day trip to Spain and Portugal. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood and not in any downtown area of Madrid. It has a metro station in the same block. Very convenient line to head to any key Madrid attractions. You can get the 10 ride pass in the Metro for a good deal. Frequency is every 5 minutes. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable. The room got stuffy and hot. We had to keep the window open most of the time. But, there are residential apartments next door. You loose your privacy if the window is open. Bathroom was strange with a sliding glass door, no lock and a gap between the glass and wall.. No privacy when you are inside. We took a cab to the airport and it costs 30 euros. You can take the metro all the way to airport if you are able to carry the luggage up and down the stairs. It will cost you 5 euros per person in metro. We didn't eat in the restaurant. There are many options to eat right outside the hotel. It felt like a safe neighborhood to walk at night. If you are not particular about staying in downtown and are willing to take metro, I would recommend this hotel.
