This is our 6th multiday stay at this small quaint hotel in the old part of Madrid. It is walking distance to Puerto del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Starbucks, Prado Museum, Retiro Park etc. Subway and bus stops very close. Underground parking is about 2 blocks away for the unfortunates with vehicles. The hotel is no frills, just a front desk clerks 24/7 that all speak very good English and are eager to help with simple "concierge" type services . The rooms are spacious with a number of different occupancy sizes. Each room has a simple kitchenette with hot plate, a fridge, and hot water pot. The bathrooms are small but adequate with tub/shower combinations. While the street noise can go one til 2AM--afterall it is Madrid--but with windows closed reasonably quiet. A/C is good. Small elevator is avail for 2 people and 1 suitcase per trip. No restaurant on site but can arrange to cater breakfast. We always walked several blocks to local cafe or Starbucks, which is just across street from Prado. If all you desire is a safe, reasonably priced, centrally located, clean, spacious room-- this deserves consideration.

I spent 4 days at the Suite Prado and enjoyed my time there. The location of the hotel was great as it was very central to Madrid - near to Sol Metro station, which is a hive of activity all day and night (think Piccadilly Circus in London). The hotel was down a typical Spanish street with bars, tapas restaurants and a plaza about a minute away. Staff were friendly, happy to help and any questions or recommendations I wanted, they were always happy to give me. The hotel from the airport was about 40 minutes away, but I never had to use the Metro again as everything 'touristy' was within walking distance (20/30 mins max). My room on the 2nd floor was clean and spacious, which a kitchen sink, plates and fridge if I needed it. The view was pretty bad as it overlooked another rooms bathroom and if they had the window open, you could see one another from your bedroom. The best part of the room was definitely the bathroom. I appreciated the space of the shower. You could pretty fit 3 people in there! It had 2 sinks, and you were supplied with a good amount of towels. Not too much space for the toilet, though, so could have taken out the extra sink so there was space that the toilet wasn't so close. I had breakfast at the hotel which was fine; typical continental: pastry, coffee, orange juice, yoghurt, jam and fruit. It was the same everyday, so there could have been some variety - cereal, porridge, etc. Whenever you leave the hotel to go sightseeing, you have to leave your key with reception which was a good thing to do. It meant not having to worry you may lose your room key and gave peace of mind. The negative things I found with my stay was that the air conditioning for the whole hotel was not working. This was fine for when I stayed (late April/Early May), as it wasn't peak summer, so hopefully they fix it by then. If I opened my window to let cooler air in from outside, there was a lot of noise from vents and general outside noise. The kind cleaner let me borrow a fan for my room the next day so thank you for that! The remote control wasn't working properly for the TV, and you could not use the buttons on the TV to work. I mentioned this twice to the staff, however, it still was not sorted. This was a minor thing, as I did really need to watch any Spanish TV - but would have been good to have in the morning. The bed was too hard for me, it felt like it was an extra firm and didn't really get comfortable. All in all, it was a good stay at Suite Prado for the price, location and (working) features. As I wasn't in my hotel room that much, the negatives were only small ones at the time. Thank you!

This small hotel is placed perfectly. Lots of restaurants nearby, however lots of noise from the street makes it difficult to get a good night sleep. Rooms are large, we really appreciated to get one were sleeping area was separated from the living room. Breakfast is served in the room, really nice, fresh crispy croissants, fresh orange juice and other nice things. Our room could use some maintenance, some things were broken and there was not just a lot of street noise, but also a lot of noise from the elevator and other guests. Staff is really great, helpful and service minded.

This apartment hotel was a great find!! Central to many shops, restaurants and attractions! Staff were amazing, super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic - fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade croissants. It was like being at a B&B. Mini kitchen helped with quick meals. When you leave the hotel you leave your keys (strange for most of us) but, I was completely confident in the safety, plus the keys are older and bulky so, it was a good choice anyway! I’ll definitely be back.

Great rooms with kitchenette. You have alot of space. The personal is sweet and serviceminded. Not a restaurant or bar on the hotel. But you can order breakfast you get delivered to the room, roomservice and you have many bars and restaurants around you. If you want to stay in centrum, this is the place!

After searching for few days for our stay in Madrid, we found this place. It had normal price, 1/2 or 1/3 of the price of the others. It is in a great neighborhood. Enough restaurants and bars to fill in for 7 days. I see people complaining about the noise, but it is nothing to worry about. You're in the center, in a crowded area. What do they expect? The appartment is spacious and can easily accommodate 4 people. The breakfest is fresh and it's served in your room. Recommend to stay

My mum (83) and I stayed here for a week. It was calm, neat, clean and the location was great. We enjoyed Madrid and were happy to arrive "home" for a shower and out again ... (great city hey?). One guy on the front desk ... FRAN ... was so helpful with everything. What cinema to go to to see Mamma Mia 2, walks, tours. Made our trip easy. Thanks! Darren and Jill.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location. Room size was enormous and were very clean. A good mix of Madrid traditional architecture and modern amenities. Hotel was in a quiet location but some of the guests were a bit noisy - not the hotels fault.

We had a three person room and there were some good points and not so good ones. First the good ones, location is good, walking distance to museums, etc. Room is also really spacious. Front desk service was helpful. Now the not so good ones. We had a problem with the hot water, the water got cold quite fast. Also, wifi was so slow that it's basically non-existent. Another awkward thing was that you need to use the room key to get in and out of the room. As we were traveling with friends, everytime we leave the room we need to use the key. That means the electricity from the room starts to shut down once you pull the card from the slot. Also didn't really have enough outlets for charging needs. I agree with the reviewer before, I would not choose this place during winter months.

Is very well located, near puerta del Sol y Plaza Santa Ana. Its a small hotel. The rooms are very nice and confortable. We stayed 5 nights. The girls and guys at the front desk were very nice. We really like it.
