This hotel is close to Madrid airport but in bad neighborhood. Has shuttle to airport but when we tried to call hotel we were put on hold for over 10 min. Hotel room was comfortable, but since our stay was a layover for airport, I would have chosen a different hotel in a better neighborhood with a better, friendlier staff.

The hotel is nice, large rooms, clean, swimming pool. There is a shuttle to the airport, you should book it on the reception.

Good economic hotel. Good alternative with airport transportation

I had a flight in the next morning, so I booked this hotel. It had airport shuttle which was good for both transfers.

Superb location and convenient shuttle service. Good restaurants variety with very good prices.

THE STAY WAS WONDERFUL. REALLY HOT BUT YOU EXPECT THAT WHEN YOU BOOK IN JULY. THE HOTEL WAS LOCATED NEAR TO THE AIRPORT AND THEY PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL WHICH WAS NICE. ALSO IT WAS CLOSE TO MASS TRANSIT SO THAT WAS A BENEFIT. IT WAS CLEAN AND PROVIDE FREE WI FI. I WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS HOTEL BECAUSE YOU TRAVEL ANYWHERE YOU NEED TO FROM THAT HOTEL.

This hotel was great to be close to the airport, very modern and very clean. but if you want to be close to the city then is not very convinient... the staff was very corteous and frendly. I will defently recomend this property!!

This is the place to stay if you need to be near the airport. Quiet, clean, modern. Free shuttle and several places to eat right in site. It's a long metro ride to the city center, but it's very convenient for airport stays. There is a park right behind the hotel--nice if you're traveling with children.

We really enjoyed our trip to Madrid and we liked the hotel. Our room was clean. The hotel looked newly remodeled and modern. There are a number of restaurant choices and stores in the basement and first floor. The location is in a residential neighborhood. There is not a lot of street noise and even though it is close to the airport, you do not hear very many planes. We rented a car because we were planning on doing several day trips out of the city. When we got to the hotel, we were told that the parking was 18E per day! There was no mention of the cost on the website. We ended up parking on the street. It was tight, but we were able to find a spot each night and it was free. Also, upon check in we were told that breakfast was not included in the price we paid. The breakfast buffet would cost 9.90E each per day. We decided against purchasing breakfast (see the alternative we found under tips). A couple days we went into Madrid via the metro station nearby. It was about 35 minutes to get to the tourist attractions downtown. It doesn't seem like very long, but there are about 17 stops along the way and it seemed like forever. I would definitely recommend the hotel, especially considering the value.

The hotel is very close to Barajas airport and provided free shuttle service. Though it has a 4 star rating the room that we stayed in was more like a 2 star hotel. The bathroom smelled and the room only had a bed, a very uncomfortable chair and TV hung on the wall. The restaurants are very expensive and the food is mediocre at best.

Very good value hotel and conveniently close to the airport. Free airport shuttle runs 24h, however wait for pick up from the airport can be lengthy. Good cafeteria!

It the hotel was good, nice and clean. However, there is no safebox in the room, so I had to use the safe in the lobby. To leave my personal laptop in the safe, there is no system: one staff member in the lobby said "you take the key and keep at all times" but another would say "you only take the key when you leave your personal item in the safe," every staff member had a different way of handling it. Additionally, the breakfast was not included and because I did my reservation with my flight through a website that gives you that accommodation, the hotel staff was unable to view the reservation and make adjustments to it! On another note, I found that the walk from and to the hotel to the train station was long. After a long day visiting museums and other attractions, the last thing I want to do is walk. I guess it was good for my over all health. One suggestion, for the phone calls fee. They should be next to the phone, not in the a plastic bag in the closet.

We stayed so we could get the shuttle to the Madrid airport quickly, and it worked very well. We did not have breakfast, and there was no coffee in the room, but there was plenty at the airport! We enjoyed the sushi restaurant right on the property and found the desk staff who could speak English very helpful. It seemed to be undergoing renovation, but was not bothersome. Pool was not available.

Really cheap prose for such and amazing hotel. Bathrooms were clean and newly renovated. It felt like a 5 star bathroom. Great location and has an amazing breakfast.

Very Bad, They Don't Have Service!!!

My friend and I stayed at the Tryp Diana after we came in from a late flight. The free shuttle was absolutely necessary. Even if it did take a while, if you're expecting that it's fine. There's also a metro station not too far away that can take you directly into the city center. It's in a nice residential area; we had breakfast at a charming bakery between the hotel and the metro. There's not much I can say about the room itself; it was clean and standard. For us on this trip it was wonderful because we paid about the same price as a hostel, but had our own room and bathroom for the first time in a while, and actually were able to sleep in peace. The staff was really nice and helped us find our way around.

The staff was fine. The room was fine. The shuttle to the airport worked well. The hallway was noisy all night. No carpeting

This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed in. The hotel itself was not clean . Our bathroom had a bad odor and was short on soap and any amenities. There was no hair dryer and when I asked the front desk they said they would send one up but never did. The staff was surly. The beds were cotlike, uncomfortable and only twins. The pool was black and not in use (Although it had not been below the 80's in degrees in Madridi in 2 weeks. It did have a shuttle bus to the airport and the cafeteria workers were helpful.

Shaving kits and dental kits are available free at the front desk. We've stayed several times at this hotel, near the airport. Most of the rooms have been nicely updated.

The Tryp Diana hotel seemed to be more family oriented than for Business. The internet service was expensive. The rooms and Halls in the Hotel could definitely use some updating. The Hotel Lobby and resturant areas were more updated than the rooms.
