Personal siempre amable, instalaciones impecables. Es la cuarta vez que lo visito. Ideal para negocios o vacaciones. Piscina muy agradable en su planta superior. Desayuno a precio razonable y de buena calidad.

My wife and I visited Madrid and stayed at this AWESOME Hotel!!!! The room was very clean , comfortable for both of us ! the breakfast was very good and above all the staff was excellent and very helpful. Specially Mr. Rafael and Ms, Laura at the reception area. They were always available to answer any questions and gave us suggestions regarding places to visit in Madrid etc. Our stay there , thanks to Rafael and Laura was like a home away from home. Location was excellent. Thank you so much for your suggestions and accommodations!!! Will recommend it to anyone!!!!

My wife and I went to Madrid for a six nights stay... The Ganivet Hotel and its staff made it a great vacation for us. We were able to rest really nice every night, the location was perfect and close to every place we wanted to go and see. The staff at reception was extremely helpful and amicable. Giving us hints and advise as to where to go etc. Thanks to Rafael and Laura, who were the best! The breakfast was very reasonable and offered a great variety! Will recommend to my friends without hesitation!!!

This is a great hotel for exploring Madrid. It has a wonderful location and the staff is friendly and helpful. Easy to get to the metro, taxi, or bus. Also, can easily reach the city center by foot from this hotel.

A few yards from the Puente de Toledo metro stop, the Ganivet is easy to reach, has a lovely lobby and bar, clean, modern rooms, and a very helpful staff.

Great hotel with a friendly staff and good location. Pretty close to everything but not right smack in the middle of it. Clean and inviting. Can't beat that for the price! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel location is okay and easy walk to Plaza Mayor, but hotel is average in every way. My bathroom smelled horrible and the staff made no effort to be any nicer than they needed to be to check me into my room. If you want average, this is your hotel.

Very nice hotel and reception people were very helpful.

We enjoyed the location of this hotel, just off the Metro line and the folks at the hotel were very pleasant. But the beds were awful. Now, I actually prefer a firm mattress, but these beds were as hard as board. The walls are awful thin as well. Luckily the place wasn't that full but every time some one came down the hall we could hear them talking etc. The room was small but very clean. If you can get pass the awful beds, good value for the money.

The in-house breakfast was very ample and delicious.

The hotel is 'walking distance' to Plaza Mayor, and there was a Christmas Market going while I was visiting. Puerta de Toledo is the closest Metro stop, and the hotel is just 200 (although uphill) meters away from the station. If you want to reach the hotel by Metro coming from the airport you have to change trains twice with quite some stairs in between... but it is definitely do-able. Nice restaurants all over the place, and in particular around Plaza Mayor.

The hotels location was awesome. The rooms were clean and nice. However, the bed was terrible and I felt like I could have slept better on the floor without a blanket. The rooms were not sound proof. I could hear everything in the streets from horns to motorcyles to chatty people. I could even hear people in the hallway of the hotel.

I was traveling with college age kids and the only thing in the room that annoyed us was the quality of the reception on the tv when we tried to watch a soccer game. We had good subway access and near by food choices so we were pretty pleased. Internet access and wifi were good as well. Nice bar...

We arrived early to Madrid but had contacted them before regarding an early check-in. They had a room when we arrived, but it was a smoking room that smelled quite bad. To the staff's credit, they did location us a non-smoking room that was great. The big negative about our stay at the hotel was my wife had her purse stolen while we were in the hotel restaurant. In the staff's defense, the thieves were quite professional, the staff was extremely helpful with our contacting the police and made efforts looking at their security cameras to identify the culprits.

This hotel is in a great location, has a very nice lobby and cafe with reasonable prices. We walked everywhere from his location including the Prado. Loved hanging out at Mayor. Don't miss the botanical garden when you are there. Highly recommend this place.

Close to Metro and Plaza Mayor. Large, modern room compared to other European hotel standards at this rate. Staff was business-like but not very friendly. Unless you speak and read Spanish, you'll find this hotels' staff can be difficult to communicate with. We survived, however, and would stay again because of its' location and price. Avoid the cafeteria unless you read Spanish...no English or other language translations! We ordered something and, well, let's just say we were suprised at what we were served!
