Not my first time at this hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms with free wifi and air conditioning. The least likely aspect, is the tv channels are all translated into Spanish. Not in the center of the city, but nice connection with subway.
A four star hotel? Maybe, just maybe 20 years ago. Even if you stand right in front of the hotel (in the evening), you would not notice it. There is a non burning hotel sign, the entrance runs down into a kind of cellar. Everything in the room is old and/or broken. Carpet first needs vacuum cleaning, and then replacement. Small TV, with only one English channel (Bloomberg Europe?). Friendly staff, but poor understanding of English. No bar, no restaurant. The lobby is OK, and breakfast in fine.
We were at the hotel for about 4 nights (couple). The hotel is a short distance from the metro and next to a very nice mall. (with supermarket inside). The area is very nice and quiet. Very nice hotel with large spacious rooms. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very kind and helpful with any questions. Breakfast is good and varied. We will Highly recommend this hotel!
Excelent room, nice working air conditioning and wifi. Staff very polite. Great location, by Ciudad Lineal subway station, so quick acces to Madrid downtown. Nice breakfast. Loved this Hotel! Alex-Sao Paulo, Brazil
Nice, quiet, cosy hotel. 3 minutes of walk to the subway (the tube travel to the downtown is about 15-20 minutes). Variety of cafes/restaurants around. Modest but nutritious and not expensive breakfast. Very friendly personnel. Pretty fast and reliable wi-fi.
Petit Palace Arturo Soria is located 200 m from metro station Ciudad Lineal making it a very convenient location to stay when you visit Madrid. I stayed 4 nights. The breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful and the Wifi access good enough for work or pleasure.
I wanted a value hotel and those in central Madrid tended to be dear. However this hotel is far enough out to be cheaper but still close to the Metro and so easy to get anywhere in the city very quickly. I cannot find any fault with it. Good breakfast, helpful staff who had reasonable English, good WiFi, handy for Metro, some good bars and hotels in walking distance.
Petit Palace Arturo Soria is located 200 m from metro station Ciudad Lineal making it a very convenient location. The bus stand, super market are also walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are clean & spacious. Kettle is missing though. The staff is very friendly & eager to help. They also helped us with free printouts for tour tickets. The breakfast menu is good with variety of fruits, Breads, cheese, eggs & meat. Overall a very comfortable stay.
We stayed here on a holiday visit for two nights in August. We chose it based on price and the benefits of it including breakfast and being near the metro. They did not disappoint. We arrived on our check-in day very early, around 9 AM. The staff offered an early check-in for 15 euros but we opted to just leave our bags and go exploring instead. Pros: - Room was clean and comfortable. - The breakfast was very good. - Location – steps from the metro. Cons: - The mini-fridge is pre-packed with food they want you to pay for. We took stuff out and put it beside the fridge so we could use the fridge to store food we bought. - No clock in the room. - Quite distant from the main tourist sites – easily reached on the metro but it did take some time. Be ready for that. - Lack of soundproofing. Doors were heard closing at all hours of the night. We could hear the activities of our next-door neighbours, who of course were night owls when we were getting up at 6 AM the next day. That was unfortunate. - The breakfast doesn’t open until 7:30 AM. I understand that the Spanish tend to stay up late but you’d think that at a hotel they would cater for tourists who might want to get an early start and go see this beautiful city. After the second night we had to leave for the airport at 7 AM so did not get to have the breakfast we’d paid for. The hotel had the "green policy" for reusing towels but there were no recycling bins in the rooms. I guess they throw everything into the garbage? That was disappointing. We can’t offer any comment about the area the hotel is in as we didn’t explore there at all – just walked between the metro and the hotel. We would definitely consider staying here again.
Very clean. Comfortable beds. Spacious room. Great WiFi. Big bathroom, good shower. Metro station 500 metres away- 10 minutes into Madrid. Friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Lots of shops, restaurants, pubs nearby. Quiet area. Stayed here with teenagers. Everyone happy. Would stay here again.
