HORRIBLE. . .I rented a private room, and in the middle of the night was woken up by other guests that they rented my room to. How do you rent a room twice and allow other guests to enter my room? Very unprofessional and unsafe for a solo female traveler. What kind of system do you have??

we reserve and paid 3 nights and only stay 1, we ask to have air conditioned and they didnt have it, also we feel very unsafe with persons with rádios só loudy in the reception, all very dirty and things broken, this hotel must close and expedía need to close them to offer!!!

It’s a good option for staying close to the action in Madrid, the sol and gran vía area. It is also very affordable but unfortunately you can see that for being able to offer such low prices they are quite understaffed, and that results in long waiting queues at the checkin counter, and the minimal cleaning of the rooms.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Checkin took over 1 hour in line. Lockers were too small for my bag, had to rent of their storages at the entrance, they said I would get my 5 euro deposit back and it would be only 1.5 for the night. Completely false, during checkout a very nasty receptionist said she wasnt giving the 5euro back, it was a charge. To top everything off when i got back around midnight another guest was in my bed. Had to move him to get my stuff under the pillow and sleep in another bed. Bathroom door was broken, doesn't close, had to put by bag against it so people wouldn't walk in. Room was next to a very busy street at ground level. Awful night to say the least.

To begin with from less to worst: the room was too crowded of beds, could barely pass to my bed, some lockers were broken, bed not made, bathroom dirty, dust balls on floor, but I overlooked that and went to common area (dining room) which smelled terrible (every day of my stay at night time) regardless I sat to work on my laptop and a cockroach walked on my feet a guy stepped on it to kill it, I let staff know and they did nothing, asked for a refund to go somewhere else for the remaining days of my stay due to lack of the hygienic conditions, I was denied and manager never contacted me. At night the lamp from the patio stayed on all night long so the bedroom looked as it was daylight, no way to rest. After shower the bathroom and all bedroom was flooded! Nothing done from staff...

The hostal is located in the vibrant city center of Madrid. The rooms have a certain charme of a prison cell and offers the bare minimum a budget accommodation needs to offer. Unfortunately, the unqualified receptionist, the permanent running water of the toilet and the constantly blinking lights of the fire detector did not leave a positive impression.

CHEAP STAY -GREAT LOCATION -BAD SHOWER

THE HOSTEL IS OK -IF YOU HAVE A QUICK STAY OR HAVE NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO STAY IN A HOTEL FOR A LONGER TIME -THE BED I SLEPT WAS ACHING WITH EVERY MOVEMENT AND N THE SHOWER BESIDES THE LEAKING OUT OF THE SHOWER IT WAS MOULD EVERY WHERE IN IT :-(

Uh oh not too clean, maybe not the safest

I rated it higher than I would have because it was super cheap. It’s a dirty place but what can you expect. The security is not so tight, a homeless man tried to walk out with a blanket and sheets. They also let people sleep on the sofas that are around the tables in the common area so it smells like feet and people who have not showered in a while, which is the same place breakfast is served. The place is not exactly at number 3, walk down a bit and you will see the hostel sign. I called them to see which address it actually was and was on hold for so long I hung up bc international rates. They were not friendly at all and forgot to give me my passport back. But I remembered in the middle of the night and they guy working then was a lot nicer than the ladies earlier. The elevator was leaking lubricant oil and stained my luggage and my clothes on the way out. Wasn’t worth staying there to save the money. Unless your 17 and don’t care at all or want this type of experience, I would skip it
