We stayed 3 nights right in front of the Museum. The staff was wonderful, they took great care of us. Our flight was late on Tuesday night and they let us check out at 5:00 pm so that we would have time to walk around the city and enjoy our last day. The room was huge and so was the bathroom. The location is perfect and we could walk everywhere from our hotel. We did not eat in the garden because we enjoy local restaurants and the concierge gave us many names of very good local restaurants.

We have been many times in Madrid, most of them in small boutique hotels. We decided to choose this hotel this time due to a special offer. Must say that the location is very good, my wife could go for shopping while my business meetings were very close there. The most important was that we had all facilities we need.

I stayed at Hotel Ritz for two nights in August. I chose to stay here over the Westin Palace not for any logical reason but because of the hotel's allure as a grand, historic hotel that has been the premier hotel in Madrid for ~100 years. The location could not be better as it is literally steps from the Prado museum in the heart of Madrid. You can easily access the rest of the city, except maybe the financial district, from this location. I stayed in the lowest category of room, which was nice and of decent size. Howver, the room felt very dated and lacked most modern technology (e.g. the doors still have real metal keys as opposed to key cards), but everything was obviously of very high quality and it kind of added to the historical feel of the hotel. All of the hotel's restaurants were excellent, especially the back garden/patio (or jardín) which serves tapas all day every day to a live piano performance. The heart of my review, and why I gave the hotel 5 stars, is because of the service. I am pretty well traveled and I believe this was the best service I've ever received at a hotel. The staff was absolutely phenomenal and really did everything they could to take care of you, always with a smile on their face. I could give numerous examples, but I'll save time and just say that it was perfect. Tip to any tourists staying here, you can buy skip the line tickets to the major museums and royal palace directly from the concierge with only a minor upcharge of €2-3. Once you see those lines, you'll be glad you did it. Bottom line, if you're looking for a modern hotel with all the latest in-room amenities, or potentially a business traveler, this might not be the hotel for you. If you want to experience true classic luxury, 5-star service, and have a great location to explore from, you won't be disappointed.

The place, location, and décor of the Ritz are superlative. And the service (from 1st communication after booking the place to each interaction on site) was top notch. The breakfast at the garden was amazing and a highlight of our stay. I loved the classic décor of the hotel, the rooms, and the traditional / historic ambiance. Loved it! (check in and check out might be slow due to process being handled by small staff. Fortunately, I wasn't in a rush)

First stayed at this beautiful historic hotel 40 years ago. Never forgot it, not much has changed, it is still as charming and impressive as ever. Excellent staff for a start. Great public spaces full of charm and ambiance with that magnificent courtyard and lounge area. The rooms are the old style with their own quirky character but full of charm and still a hint of the old world. The floors don't creak though they are solid. Also excellent air con and no outside noise. Noise from above though if you are unlucky enough to have family of undisciplined minors above you using their room as a training ground for future battles from 4.30 am can be a problem. Unfortunately this a problem encounted commonly now as we travel the world and find more and more undisciplined children are taken places that they and there parents have no respect for. Rant over, Love the Ritz Madrid and if possible stay there once in your life it is a special place as far as I am concerned.

The hotel is excellent, the overall facilities and staff are great, but the staff, I am talking about people who was supposed to take care about my transportation to the airport, are very poor. I booked the transportation to the hotel in advance in a luxury Mercedes S class even paid in advance! Neither they delivered car, they were looking for my confirmation for 40 mins, not even caring that I might be late for my flight, they were supposed to give me car and deal with later to bill me or not at least, they even told me that I didn't book any car, even after I showed them the bill and confirmation from them! They gave me the Van not Mercedes S class, and they guy was so rude, and only apologized when he found the confirmation. So the hotel is great, restaurant and room service are amazing, but the guys who were taking care of our transfer were awful. Moreover, I was with my pregnant wife and 1,5 year old child, and it's very strange for Hotel with Grand Luxury level! They didn't even bring the stroller to the room when my wife asked them, and did it only after 4,5 hours when I came back to hotel and demanded them immediately to do that! So the wonderful stay was ruined in the end by these awful staff, but in general great hotel! And, by the way I was late for the flight!

We were welcomed warmly and given a brief guide to the hotel. Our room was extremely comfortable with beautiful linen throughout. Room service impeccable. If you like being attended to discreetly but attentively this is the place to go. Nothing is too much trouble. Dining is superb, on the terrace in the warm balmy evening then onto the lower terrace for your night cap. Positioned to enable you to walk to many attractions, next to the Prado museum and botanical gardens. A must visit.

Came to spa to get a massage and they should not call it a spa. They have a room off the workout area. No relaxation area. 1 tiny shower. Had to walk thru workout area in robe from dressing area to massage room. My daughter had a guest walk in on her during her massage. Got an apology but not acceptable. Massage was great but would not go back for 150 euro massage. Only gave it average and that is being nice.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff provided us a brief introduction about the facilities of the hotel. The room is big and comfortable. The location is good which is near Museo Nacional del Prado.

Be back at the Ritz Hotel it's always a unique experience! Everything is unique: location, atmosphere, rooms, reception, service.. In particular we had a very nice dinner in the Restaurant Le Jardin! Madrid is the Ritz Hotel!
