Great location, fantastic service and amenities. It's a beautiful, luxurious hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating, particularly the concierge(s). It's an expensive hotel, but I thought it was well worth the money.
It is a luxury hotel, with old style decor. The hotel itself needs a little refurbishing, but nevertheless, we got ourselves an huge room, very comfortable, with marble and gold bathroom w/ Bvlgari amenities. The hotel's location is the best in town. It is worth the extra money, specially if you wanna feel important.
Excellently run hotel from reception to restaurants/room service. Beautiful interior. Advice: sit in the main hall for drinks and tapas and just enjoy watching people and an excellently trained staff. We had excellent massages from a male masseur - we would come back just for that: technically excellent, strong but perfect pressure. He knew his profession. Wonderful stay and looking forward to coming back.
Came to Spain for a conference with my husband and 4 kiddos and we stayed here for 3 days. From the time we got there till the time we left we were treated like royalty! The staff is amazing and super friendly!!! The rooms are clean and they pay great attention to detail they had a welcome greeting written on the mirror with the kids names on them when we checked in ! We had issues with noise Bc there was a party one night and they were addressed immediately by the manager and moved us to a quieter room!! Will definitely be a return customer!!
Beautiful hotel not far from all touristic must see places like Plaza Real, Plaza del Sol and the Retiro park. Spacious lobby is a great place for afternoon tea and some delicious snack. This hotel welcomes dog and our tiny chihuahua puppy really enjoyed it. We were given a bed and 2 bowls to use during our stay.
Every aspect of service was seamless from check in to dinner to breakfast and check out. the concierges were generally helpful and pleasant. The room was spacious and well appointed. I understand they may go through a renovation soon, and I agree that things could be updated.
Perfect stay in a perfect location...and what a view! I stayed in a Junior Suite for 3 nights for a long week end in December 2017. The location is perfect and the view (sunrise and sunset) is amazing. The hotel has a strong historical background and really makes you feel like you are in Spain.
22 Euros for six cups of tea in silver teapots, a glass of excellent first class Rioja wine, with excellent, abundant snacks and good quality cookies... Take mother and granny there for a splurge. Right by Prado Museum, in one of most elegant, five star Hotels lobbies in Spain, sorrounded by elegant tapestry, a beautiful Belle Epoque style dome and regal columns, it is a experience worth every penny. It is possibly one of the cheapest five star hotels lobby bars in the world. It makes perfect sense.
This hotel (building) I made to understand is more than 100 years. The interior has amazing designs. If you love oldish luxury like me, then you would be swept off your feet. I had two nights here and enjoyed every bit of it: the food, breakfast and the bed. The workers are lovely and charming. The breakfast area is beautiful and welcoming. The food is nice especially the honey comb and the beef burger. I will like to come again. But am told the building is going to see a major facelift. They should not turn it into a modern hotel. The oldish royal palace is just fine. Least to forget is nearer by foot to many memorable places and restaurant. Amazonia restaurant for instance. The royal palace is not far and royal garden too. Ritz Carlton Madrid is amazing place and Madrid is a beautiful city. Surely will come again
First experience at the Ritz in MAdrid, the hotel is superb, large lobby and Tea Room. Staff very welcoming and helped out with an issue I had. Rooms are the quintessence of Oldish luxury (you must like this style or you will hate this hotel) with golden leaves and heavy moquettes. Somehow those hotels I tend to look for as much as possible rather then the modern clinical "W" style hotels. Great place for meetings.
