Southern part from barrio de salamanca...good location to access best shopping and up scale restaurants/bars of the city. Comfortable rooms. Spacious rooms. Good in house dining and drinking options. Good location to get out for jogging around the main (largest) park in Madrid. Run that is recommended by new balance.

This hotel, to simply put it, is amazing. The staff were friendly and quick to assist, offering us free welcome drinks and snacks. The interior of the hotel was beautiful and tasteful, even though it was old. The food was unbelievable. The breakfast buffet was the most plentiful, delicious buffet I've ever seen and had. There are freshly made tortilla espanola, roasted veggies, little beef patties, fresh honeycomb to put onto your fresh fruits, as well as a complete dessert table filled with doughnuts and churros, with assorted dipping sauces. While ordering room service, I ordered the Ritz Paella. Best paella ever! It was rich and authentic, and they adjusted the toppings with my dietry requirements. The rooms themselves were decorated wonderfully and they gave the kids a complimentary toiletry bag each as well as a sign welcoming them to the Ritz (the room also came with complimentary snacks and champange!)

I have spent few days with my husband at the Ritz in Madrid, and I can tell that everything was great except the rooms which are not really modern for a palace! I still recommend this place if you don't spend so much time in the hotel and you prefer wandering outside.

We arrived at Hotel Ritz after a long flight. I booked two rooms for our family of four (1 adult & 3 teens). We were surprised just how big the rooms were! The staff took the time to personalize the room for my children with greetings on the bathroom mirror, a bath gift bag and a tray of treats in the room. We felt so special! The Ritz is perfectly located with just a short walk to the park and other sites. Breakfast on the terrace is dreamy. That said, the rooms could use a bit of a renovation, but I wouldn’t let that keep you from booking. My children have travelled quite a bit and teens aren’t easy to impress and they even loved the ritz!

Stunning hotel, amazing feel just being there. The carpets and tapestries were amazing - like walking on art! Daily breakfast buffet was stocked with delicacies for everyone. Great location within walking distance to so much (including a beautiful park across the street) Experience of a lifetime.

This is a beautiful Hotel however if you are not savvy you will be stuck in a lower quality room. We had a small room overlooking the inner courtyard roof top next to the elevator and for 400 Euro it was too expensive. The room it’s self has a lovely faded elegance but the carpets sorely need replaced. The amenities are very good quality and the location is wonderful, if you could see the view I’m sure it was nice. The morning breakfast is beautiful and the staff courteous. I would check Out other options definitely.

Whilst the room was smaller than we would have liked, it was traditionally furnished and very comfortable. We really liked the bar and public areas and a lovely breakfast. Shame the hotel's garden wasn't open, it must be lovely. Helpful staff.

I decided to stay at this landmark hotel for a one night stand in Madrid and it was amazing. Traveling with family the hotel has surprised us with gifts and a warm message for my kid in the mirror . Perfect team and a very special dinner at Goya. What a stopover

First MO hotel that does not meet our expectations , it is so completely outdated in every aspect that it should not have 5 stars. The bathroom is the real shocker , reminds of vey old 4 star hotel in the province . The service in the lobby was slow and the food was terrible. In fact we left after check as the quality was below expectation. We hope for a fantastic renewal and surely will come back then

Thanks s is the best address in the city and the main floor is on par with the top hotels in the world. Staff is perfect and professional. But the room stick needs more than a facelift. Just as was done for the Ritz Paris we say goodbye to the old and welcome the improvements
