The hotel next to the Prado and close to everything! Even the smallest room of the hotel feels that you are in a different world. The service is impeccable and the environ is beautiful. We also dined in their "casual" garden restaurant twice, under trees and away from the city although in the middle of it.

Spacious, sumptuous rooms! Perfectly located! Highly recommend. Can walk into the city or the famous gardens very easily from here. Beautiful, elegant bar and dining. Gorgeous outdoor bar complete with pianist to relax during the afternoon.

The rooms are extremely comfortable , nice views . Staff very nice all the time try help us , nice food , we had junior suite wich was lovely . Thank you for amazing time , next year for sure we will be back

Built in 1910, this classic hotel has been updated but retains all of its old classic charm. A beautiful lobby, sitting area and rooms. A classic through and through. Since it has been purchased by Mandarin Oriental, the hotel will be closed for all of 2018 for remodeling. Let's hope that they keep the old world charm and don't make it too modern.

I just returned from three nights at the iconic Ritz in Madrid. This was my second visit in 5 years. I was traveling with my sister who stayed on for a week. Hands down, The Ritz is a classy hotel. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring Madrid. We were both very, very impressed with the service. 90% of the staff went above and beyond to be of assistance to us. Kudos to the concierge staff and a special shout-out to Borha (Borja?) who was so very helpful and kind. They not only assisted us with dinner reservations (and were also very responsive when I emailed from USA prior to arrival) but also helped with train tickets, answered any question about Madrid, about shopping, and directed us to a pharmacy when that was needed as well. We really loved the breakfast - it is fresh and well presented and abundant, and the dining room staff is professional and efficient. Another shout-out to Deborah who hosted us several mornings. The front desk staff was also incredibly helpful and housekeeping also was so accommodating. We had drinks in the beautiful outdoor terrace several evenings and loved that space! There is a small gym which was always available and clean. The hotel is immaculate and very well run. I only have two suggestions for improvement...1) the rooms really could use a facelift. They are old world and charming and spacious, but they are starting to look dated and the carpet really needs to be updated. 2) Most hotels today offer coffee/tea making in the rooms - and the Ritz should offer this necessity as well. Otherwise, I highly recommend this charming and endearing hotel. Thank you for making our holiday so special! I truly hope to return again some day.

Booked one night at this hotel check in was very organised and staff very friendly and helpful , the room although was very nice we were on the top floor so rather small , shower was in the bath and no view from the window only view of the rest of the hotel A work colleague of my husbands also stayed with us and his room had a huge beam across one side of the bed so he found it very difficult to get out in the morning !! Saying that the service was excellent we didn't have dinner on the hotel and breakfast was not included we had tea and coffee and a few alcoholic drinks the bill was over 600 euros for one night so I do not think it was good value for money we have to go to Madrid quite a few more times on Buisness would I stay at the ritz again ? I don't think it will be my first choice

This was a truly great place to stay. It couldn't be better located. It's across from the Prado and the two other amazing art museums Madrid has on offer. It's also near the Park which is gorgeous. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet and near good restaurants. And the staff at the hotel couldn't have been nicer. The day we checked out, there was a bike race, part of which went directly in front of a the hotel. As a result, the street was closed to traffic and no cabs were available. The hotel arranged to have someone drive us a main street nearby (no easy feat!) and the driver hailed us a cab to take us to the airport. Wow indeed!👍🏻👍🏻

You expect a Ritz to be good, but this one was better than any of its Ritz-Carlton cousins. Perfect service. Rooms were spacious by European standards and well appointed. Food (breakfast) was a good buffet. Drinks outside were better than pleasant. If you are in Madrid to see the museums, this is the place for you.

The room was beautiful, although decor is getting a little dated and carpet is old. Service at front desk, concierge, maids, and upper Terrace restaurant was all superb. However, the cocktail service on lower level of Terrace was horrendous. I think they perceive all Americans as wanting service immediately because as soon as waiter came over, instead of a greeting, he simply blurted, "you ready to order?" When we did order, that was the last we saw of him. Another server finally brought the drinks over and we waited 20 minutes when we were ready for a second drink for someone to finally come over. We literally had to flag down a Manager to order a round. The waiter who seemed to be responsible for our table was very rude and wouldn't even look at us. We believe he had an issue with waiting on two men...very unfortunate as we spent thousands of dollars at this hotel for the room, meals and drinks. When I told front desk upon checkout, she stated, "yes, we know our service needs improvement at the Terrace Bar but offered no particulars in the way of a plan or an apology. Inside, Jonathan was head and shoulders above all his peers when it came to superb service.

Excellent EVERYTHING. Rooms, food, service and overall atmosphere. Absolutely beautiful courtyard for drinks and light snacks and the breakfast/brunch was to die for. Clean and impeccable. Rooms had all the amenities you need and are beautiful and comfortable.
