Nice clean hotel modern but.... For a 4 star hotel not to have any food service after 11pm is not very good.... Need more people at reception both in the evening and morning. Sort out your check out process. I paid in full at check in but still had to queue in the morning to hand over my room key. Have a box we can just deposit it in. And also heard that no gym. How did it get 4 stars?
I can only repeat the previous reviewer, high1998 and comment on how fantastic the hotel and staff were during my stay. The rooms, breakfast, bar, food and all staff were wonderful. After a long journey on Fri 31/05 the bed was a welcome sight and didn't fail to provide a lovely nights sleep. What followed was a marvelous breakfast. Our final night was Sunday 02/06 and the bar staff couldn't do enough to keep myself and friends continually fed and watered as the evening progressed. It was only a shame we couldnt use the pool with temperatures reaching 33/34 degrees.
I had to move to this hotel after my previous one (Senator Barajas hotel) decided to charge me €550 for the night before the final match of the champion league. Both hotels, Exe Madrid and Senator Barajs are 4 stars hotels. However, the quality of services between and the prices of both hotels are incomparable. Exe Madrid Norte is way better than Senator Barajas. A new hotel, with new room facilities, plus a nice swimming pool and a bar. The hotel staff of Exe Madrid were much better and professional. The only negative points are the hotel doesn’t provide free airport shuttle service and it is a bit far (20 minutes walk) from the nearest metro station. Apart from that everything was fine! I do recommend this hotel for long stays, family and couples.
Stopped at the Hotel on Saturday and it exceeded my expectations. Special mention for Laura on reception who helped arrange my early check in to my room so i could freshen up before the game. COYS! Disappointing result but could not fault breakfast, room, toileterries, and the bar and reception team.
We only paid 67 euro for a room with 3 adults, hoping for a clean place, but with low expectations. We were wonderfully surprised to find an excellent, luxury hotel. The king-sized bed, the sparkling clean room, the bathroom amenities, great shower, plush towels, crisp sheets -- everything was perfect. In the morning, we had a delicious breakfast with a large variety of foods of all sorts. The only downside was the distance from the center of Madrid. If you have a car, no problem (though parking at the hotel will cost 11 euro a day). If you take a taxi, count on 20-30 euro in each direction. Anyway, parking in Madrid center will also cost 6 euro a couple hours. Anyhow, if you do the math, you will find that staying at this hotel is also cheaper than staying in-town and paying more for a hotel, though you'll save on taxis.
Dear Exe Madrid Norte, we came to you tired and jet lagged and with young children in desperate need of a bed after we had just missed our flight to Paris. Your front desk was rude and arrogant and on top of that charged us an extra €30 to be able to check in early into a room that was all ready. Then, that same night when we decided to have dinner at your lobby-restaurant, only because there was nothing else near by, your bartender/server treated us with the same nasty attitude as your front desk. Please remember that YOU’RE THE REASON why more and more families like us will continue to choose an Airbnb over a hotel in the future. And when you look around in a few more years and no one visits your dirty and worn out hotels anymore, please remember you have no one to blame but yourselves!
Booked via third party provider. Check in was quick and very friendly. Room was clean and reasonably well equipped. BBC channel on TV did not function but CNN worked. Iron and board has to be requested. No printer, but front desk will print out any documents if you email them. Room service is between 11am to 10:30pm. Restocking of min-bar is inconsistent. Food quality was bland and quite average, prices were reasonable. Service was friendly and helpful and its the service and people at this hotel that are its most redeeming and outstanding attraction.
I stayed here as part of a work trip. The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant were great. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially as my Spanish is not very good. They couldn't do enough for you. I had an evening meal here and buffet breakfast both of which were very nice. The menu is in Spanish and English which makes it easy for English speaking travellers here. The only downsides I could see were the rooms whilst clean and functional were a bit tired (slight damage to fixtures and fittings and my room had a musty smell to the bedding). The room was fine for a corporate stay of 1 night. It would have been nice to have either bottled water or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There is a mini bar should you really need a drink in the night. Location was perfect for what I needed as it is close to the airport with the bonus of not being able to hear planes. However it is not that close to Madrid if that is what you are looking for. Overall a great hotel for business travel.
It has many issues, an ugly carpet, with spot in the rooms, and furniture or bed rob wasted, broked, ugly. When i announced the rob to the reception, they say they ll do something, but ended by doing nothing.
Although I visited the hotel during my business trip, but it was really relaxing .. near by the airport .. and easy reach to the center .. The staff very supporting .. very kind .. thanks a lot I recommended for others
