We had a clean room, with a comfortable bed, and a delicious breakfast. The prices were reasonable. It was exactly what we were looking for. Would recommend to others. We drove by the other hotels in the area and this one appeared to be very well lit and safe.
We spent one night at this motel. Conveniently located off highway, nicely remodeled, acceptable continental breakfast, comfy beds and pleasant front office staff. Would definitely stay here again next time we travel this way.
Got two rooms here with the Priceline express deal. $71 gets you a room with 2 double beds. Ordered two of them and they gave us adjoining rooms. Rooms were clean, but a little beat up. Lots of crappy patch jobs in the drywall. There was also an ant problem in one of the rooms I got. Beds were comfy, just wish they were queen size. Pool was small and only slightly heated. Breakfast was the continental bf quality, not the greatest. They did have a big spread of it though. It included cheese omelet, bacon, sausage, b&g, cinn rolls, and pancakes for hot food. Cereal, yogurts, fruit, and muffins as cold items. Highlight was the cinn rolls. I would stay here in the future.
this place is great, nice pool ,perfect rooms, and the people can't be beat I asked for a King room for 2 than asked if they had a hot tub they said the hotel did not have one and I said after the day we had going through the caverns that day my wife could really use one ,they gave me a key and the room was a suite with a Jacuzzi tub what a surprise, breakfast was good and high quality with variety
This is a favorite stop off hotel for my wife and I. This is a HIE hotel with that old family hotel charm. I get all of the usual HIE benefits plus feeling like I'm staying at a friends. The hotel is easy to get too. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
We were in town for an event in Madison Indiana but the hotels were way too expensive. This Holiday Inn Express in Scottsburg is only about 20 minutes from Madison so we decided to stay there. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a place to stay in the area. The price was much less than the standard fees in Madison and the quality of the rooms were good. Very friendly front desk and cleaning staff and cosy beds. They have a nice indoor pool as well as a complimentary hot breakfast. Great deal.
Crystal at the Front Desk was AWESOME! She helped me get a room at the Scottsburg location and called the Seymour location to help me book a room for family members also driving on a busy weekend. Breakfast was delicious as always at Holiday Inns. However, the beds in Room 226 did not sleep well. They are old and breaking down as compared to a typical Holiday Inn room. The building was clean but did not have that crisp feel that other Holiday Inns have to them.
I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express for a quick business trip. The location of the hotel is right off of the freeway closer to restaurants. The location of Scottsburg is in the rural part of Indiana. The hotel was clean, good internet and offered great service.
I will say the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was wonderful as usual. HOWEVER, this Holiday Inn Express is not up to par for what we expect from this chain. The beds were lumpy, decor was outdated, and the gym didn't even include any weights (or weight machines, just 3 cardio machines). If you are on the road and like to stay in Holiday Inn Express stay on the road a little longer. This one does not meet the standard. Because it was so old, everything felt dirty especially the bathroom. The grout was black, the tub backed up and the door frame was only half painted. The price of $124 was outrageous for such a warn down hotel especially since the one we stayed in the night before for roughly the same price was modern and comfortable.
My family was disappointed in our stay on June 9, 2017. The hotel feels like it is in real need of a remodel. The pool is very small and it was cloudy. It was a summer weekend so it was packed with kids. Way too small for the amount of bodies in it. We stayed clear of it! Our room did not have a mini fridge or micro wave. The beds were old and lumpy. I have come to expect much nicer beds at Holiday Inns! The breakfast in the morning was super disappointing. One woman way over her head to handle the large crowd. They were out of everything, including coffee!!! Yikes! I always know that Holiday Inn will have amazing cinnamon rolls on their breakfast bar. The rolls were cold. I'm talking like straight out of a fridge! I noticed several people take a bite and looked surprised. Scottsburg is a half way point to drop off or pick up our grandkids and we would not stay again. I'm sorry because my go to hotel of choice is always Holiday Inn Express.
