From check-in to check-out and even the bistro staff were great. The room I had was nice and comfortable. The only issue I had, was in the evening/morning there was a lot of noise and vibration from the nearby trains and heard 7 train horns between 11pm and 5am in the morning. Otherwise, hotel was at a good location just off of I-75.
I wonder if the small size of my room is because it was in the corner, or are all the king rooms this size. Two things really threw me; breakfast not included and no microwave in the room. I can’t remember the last time I was in a hotel room and had to go the lobby to use a microwave. Staff was very friendly. I think there are better hotel choices.
My children arrived on an overseas flight late and I was concerned for them to drive the 4 hours to their Savannah, GA home. I decided to book a hotel in Macon, and chose the Courtyard Marriott. I had never been to this location before but have always been impressed with other locations. After booking, I called the hotel to alert them that I, the payer, wouldn't be accompanying them. I was greeted with such friendly reception staff. They welcomed my kids, and everyone they came across went above and beyond to make their stay comfortable. I look forward to staying myself. Thank you.
Go ahead, spend the extra money, and enjoy that you did. It's got the Marriott name, so if it isn't good, they'll do what they have to in order to make it better. I enjoyed my night, because i chose the best. Downstairs they have food cooked to order, snacks, drinks. Room was superb, very comfy and a good feeling inside. Thick walls made it quiet enough for a good sleep. There are many choices in this "better area" of Macon. There are cheap choices in the bad areas. Go ahead. Spend the extra. You'll be glad you did.
We visited here for the holidays and I must say it was an amazing place to visit. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the beds were oh so comfortable. If you’re in the Macon area this would be a great place to stop by.
I have traveled for work every week for the last 4 years. I am a Diamond Hilton member as well as a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I can choose where I choose to stay every week as well as who I wish to patronize or not. I was put in the last room in the building, on the end, facing the highway with an entrance to a wooded area. Not smart for them to choose this room for me, and that's what I like so much about Hilton, they let you CHOOSE Your room! Also, at the Hilton properties within walking distance to this place, they let you CHOOSE your room. They also do NOT charge for coffee. Not my first or even 10th pick for sure if I have to come back to Macon.
Stopped there while traveling from Tennessee and Florida. It’s seen better days. Carpet in my room was old and stained. Bathroom sink had a large crack. Receptionist was very nice and helpful. Price was decent but would prefer a better place for a bit more.
This was my second stay at this location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Bistro is convenient if you do not want to leave the hotel for a meal. The flatbreads are delicious. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The work out rooms will meet your need while on the road. Nearby you have great shooing within minutes and any restaurant you can imagine. Courtyards make staying away from home much easier. This one does not disappoint.
This is a good hotel but not great. Very strange room arrangement. The head board was the same direction as the door. Rooms are very small compared to other Courtyard hotels. I love the Paul Mitchell toiletries. The linen is soft and the pillow are great but the bed is not as comfortable as most other Marriott's. Water pressure was good. Because of the arrangement of the rooms and the rooms being smaller the noise level was a bit much so it was hard to sleep through the night.
Not as nice as other Courtyards I have stayed at. I used the side door near where we parked as directed by staff. I notice immediately that the lock which should need a room key to open the door was broken. Anyone could walk in from the parking lot and an by knocking on any door on any floor possibility force access to an unknowing guest. I notified the staff and was told it would be repaired but on the second day it still had not been fixed.
