Our stay was rough as I had booked a king suite for 4 adults and two kiddos:/ My mistake. The pull out "couch" is a twin bed just a heads up. If it was just hubby and our little one the visit would have been fine but due to my error it was a rough night. I'm still Team Marriott but you guys may want to upgrade your sofa bed to a full size bed. Overall the room was well equipped and updated.
Stayed at this place for 2 nights. First off my room had a hint smell of mildew. Never was addressed by staff. The breakfast that is available is very good. It's a bit pricey for hotel food. But it's pretty good to not have to leave the property. The courtyard is nice and allows for some privacy. The rooms are cleaned very well and the staff is nice. This is an average Marriott Courtyard.
This is an older hotel and, though remodeled...old is old. I had reservations, arrived about 10:30 PM, and incredibly had to wait 5 minutes outside the entrance before I was noticed (I had already redeemed my Marriott points online and was stuck, otherwise I would have moved on). Finally, I am a Marriott Gold member and have gotten spoiled with a free upgrade; however, this Courtyard has no suites available. Needless to say...probably never again!
Second time staying here this month. I'm a Marriott guy that travels for work, and I like the repeatable experience of a Courtyard and like the loyalty point system. This one is fine- the bistro is good and the service was good. The hotel has a newer program where they offered me 250 loyalty points if I gave up the cleaning services daily. I passed, as I like a clean room. However, I probably should have taken the points, as the cleaning crew took all of my towels, but didn't replace them. They left my jeans on the bed and pulled the sheets and comforter over the jeans, which was pretty comical. The crew also failed to empty my trash can or replace the shampoo/ conditioner bottles. I'm scheduled back in Macon in two weeks, and will plan on staying an exit down the road at the Springhill property. Hopefully it's a bit better.
I had a business meeting in Macon and spent a couple of nights at this courtyard. The rooms were nice and comfortable. All of the staff that I had contact with were very friendly. It also is a great location, just minutes off of I-75. The pool was beautiful, although I did not get a chance to use it. I would definitely stay here again.
This courtyard was quiet and in an area with several other Marriott hotels. It has a nice lobby, but the halls and rooms are very dated. The bathroom was a little dirty and behind the toilet was stained or had something on it (see pic). For the price we can't complain ($88). There is a nice courtyard with a pool. Too bad tropical storm Cindy was causing rain here. Great place to stop for the night while on the road.
I booked my room here several weeks prior to my stay I booked a regular 2 queen non-smoking regular room, however upon my arrival I was given a handicap room which had no bath tub only tiled floor for whole bathroom and a shower head. Given the fact that I had been on the road for over 5 hours all I wanted was a bath and a good night's sleep. That's not even close to what I got. No bath and the tiniest queen beds I've ever slept in. They were the same size as the full mattresses my kids sleep on at home. Did not fit two adults at all. Horrible way to start a vacation. Very disappointed.
the first room I received had an awful odor to it; but the staff were prompt with reassigning me to another room. Tiffany was incredible. So friendly and, personally, helped me move my luggage to the next room. BUT, I was surprised by numerous bug bites the next morning - it appears they may have been flea bites. The hotel was very apologetic about it. I love pets, but that is the hazard of allowing animals in hotel rooms. Barbara in the Bistro was very nice. She was mindful that I was trying to work at the bar-type seating, and her smile the next morning was nice to see. I could not get the room cool enough, but I like it VERY cool when I sleep. Overall, the stay was good, but the bug bites were very concerning.
Pleasant stay at the courtyard in Macon. The check in was brief and easy, good directions to room and friendly staff. The lobby was clean and seemed inviting. The halls to rooms are in desperate need of updates but again, very clean. My room was a little smelly upon check in but freshened up once the air was circulating. There was a bit of noise from other rooms but nothing outrageous. Just noticeable. Overall nice stay.
I am a road warrior, traveling three or for nights a week. The best thing about this property is the staff. They are really friendly! The food at the bistro is good and thee wine tasting is a good way to unwind after a day long meeting. The rooms are just okay but that is all I need. They are close to Riverside Drive if you want to shop.
