I was in town for the Raider Red Meats BBQ & Steak Championship at Texas Tech. When I checked in I was met by a very friendly and inviting front desk worker. The room was very nice, well stocked, everything worked perfectly, and all appeared to be clean. My only issue was the curtain didn't close and bright lights from the parking lot shining into the room. Next time I'm in town, I will definitely stay here again.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Once again, the rooms were clean, modern with a comfortable bed and very good bathroom. We were welcomed by the person at reception very graciously. But the breakfasts have not improved. Only sugared cereals, fatty greasy eggs, and no cut up fruit. Even the yogurt was not fat free. We stay at many similar hotels and at the very least there is fruit, cereal without sugar (cheerios, cornflakes, etc) and often hard boiled eggs.
We stayed one night while on the road. The place is very new, and smells of new carpet. The room was the usual holiday inn express, but the breakfast exceeded our expectations. Well located if you're traveling south through Lubbock. The only downside is that you have to drive someplace to eat. But here are many restaurants witching ten minutes drive.
This Holiday Inn was wonderful! It was clean; our room, the pool area and the dining room, even during breakfast. The staff did a great job of keeping the breakfast buffet full and prepared perfectly. I usually don't eat the eggs at the HIE, but hers were perfect! What stood out the most was the friendly, fabulous customer service. This HIE property is a stand out and example of what fantastic customer service is! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We stayed with our grandchildren. Our room was roomy, the breakfast very good and plentiful and the staff was extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend coming here. They even opened up the pool early so our grandkids could get in.
Great Location Large rooms that have great beds, flat screen adequate bathroom, and adequate breakfast. Will return here tomorrow. The front desk service is fair. There is free parking. Location slightly hidden be other hotels.
We have spire elite status and stay at HIE properties often. Compared to other HIE properties this was subpar at best. Arriving we were greeted with an overflowing trash can outside. Upon entering there was a line to check in and one woman manning the front desk that was determined to sign everyone up for the rewards program and explain in excruciating detail every way you can add points. Seriously if you see a line get another person out there or check people in efficiently. When we got to our room 20 minutes later we were assaulted with the overpowering smell of cleaning products and mold and mildew. Disgusting. We didn't want to go back to the front desk again and wait so we left to get a bite to eat. Upon return the smell was still disgusting and overpowering. We acclimated eventually and found the bed, which is usually a staple of HIE properties, was horribly bumpy and uncomfortable. It felt like someone had jumped all over one side. The only thing I can say is it was quiet. There also was no sign of anyone when we left at 6:30 am because the bed was so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep. They also charged about 5 times the points that other much nicer properties charge per night. Worst experience in years.
Although this hotel was opened four years ago, the room and common areas look brand new. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was great. However, the television did not work and all I got was a snowy picture. The front desk clerk made a recommendation to fix it which did not work. He said they had tv problems often. Really? Then when I went to iron my shirt, the iron did not work. It only made a strange noise. If the room and common area had not been so nice, I would have rated this hotel as poor. If there is a known problem with the television system, the GM needs to get it addressed!
Came to visit family and stayed here, super clean with all the comforts of home. They offer Bath and Body products which was great. Don't miss the breakfast buffet, it's better than the nearby restaurant we tried the day before. Very happy with our stay.
Had been working at Cannon AFB for the last 10 days and typically stay here after leaving Clovis, NM. This location is close to the airport and allows us to make an early flight in the mornings. Great location, great staff, very good hotel.
