The Granary - La Suite Hotel5.0 out of 5.0

We were looking for something unique and the Granary met our expectations. Our rooms located on the ground floor had brick vaulted ceilings, one had a stone plaque dated 1796 in it. They also had space to put a table and two chairs outside although curiously these were folded inside our closet and we had to take them out ourselves. Beds were large and comfortable, good lighting, plenty of room to open suitcases and spread around even with sofa-bed opened for our daughter - it was prepared on our arrival, always a nice touch. Bathroom was well stocked with toiletries although I would prefer a separate shampoo and conditioner to the 2-in-1 kind they stock. TV offered plenty of channels. Breakfast buffet was sparse with little selection, although breads were very good. Staff at breakfast appeared hurried and not very friendly (despite the fact that only two tables were occupied), no welcome, didn't ask about our coffee orders, we had to go up to them. We ordered eggs and porridge, both were good but took awhile to arrive. WIFI in our room had been spotty, had to ask reception 2x to reset, was told to hook up to any other room's available, still no improvement and we were told finally to reset the TV, which had the router. Location is great on a quiet street, and 5 min walk to the main square, close to stores, park and plenty of transportation. Parking on site and for our ground floor rooms, we could take the suitcases to rooms directly from the parking. there was an extra charge for parking PLN 60 per day. I would stay here again hoping that they take all the feedback and improve the minor issues.
Wroclaw is a wonderful city to visit; not the most famous in Poland, but one of the best, with great architecture and things to do. The Granary makes the perfect spot to stay -- modern, big rooms, nice restaurant, very convenient on a quiet side street. Secure wifi for the first time on our visit to Europe. Staff is outstanding -- helped us when we have to make an unexpected 6 am departure with all related logistical issues.
The Granary has been renovated to a very high standard. The red brick work through the lobby area is really lovely. The bedrooms were very spacious and clean with comfortable bed and bedding. Rooms included flat screen TV, coffee table and comfy sofa. Wifi worked well all through the hotel. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and quick to provide answers or action anything that was requested. Location wise the hotel is very close to park areas and the theatre, and a short walk to the main square (less than 10 mins). There is also a tram stop a couple of minutes walk away. I can't comment on the restaurant as we ate out for dinner and breakfast. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again if I go back to Wroclaw.
Wroclaw is a true gem of a city. While better known cities strain under the sea of locust-tourists, Wroclaw has a limited number and manages to retain its local character and charm. The gorgeous central square is just a short walk under 10 minutes from the hotel. The area around the hotel is somewhat restricted in space. If you're driving, there is a parking lot behind the hotel on the alley (through which Google will route you anyway). There is also a small parking lot accessible via the driveway by the front door. The building is n old converted Granary. It's very charming, but the front access is not very suitcase friendly (or handicapped friendly). There a socialized added handicap platform adaptation, but it's a production to use. The staff is very helpful and friendly. English is not a problem. Breakfast is overpriced for the area. It's a philosophical mistake that many higher end hotels make to keep the presented room price low, but have a revenue stream. It doesn't develop customer satisfaction or long term loyalty. They would be better off to price it attractively and make it simple for customers to make the return decision. As is, there is a very nice breakfast place called Vincent's which is a 5 minute walk with breakfast at 40% of hotel price. Wifi was free and strong. I was able to work and stream audio for meetings without any problem. The rooms are very large and very comfortable. Bedding was comfortable and bathrooms were also large and comfortable. There seemed to be a bit of a maintenance issue. Shower handle had a knob missing. Bathroom door handle/lock was malfunctioning and locking me in the bathroom (requiring serious efforts to get it unstuck) Overall, an excellent choice, in a lovely city.
This is one and all luxury. Excellent - spacious! - rooms, very good breakfast. Only pity that there seems to be only a single coffee with the breakfast (could be my fault - didn't ask for a second). Nice breakfast choice for the rest, though. Small fitness space, but decently enough equiped for working out during a short stay. No swimming pool, but there's an offer for the adjacent historic (renovated) public baths - didn't try it
This hotel is located centrally in wroclaw and the building is old and charming. The staff speak english and are very helpful. The rooms are very big and there is loads of space to relax, work and whatever you might want to do. The bathroom is also big and has a decent size tub. The breakfast buffet is pretty good with a large selection of cheese and polish sausages. A little more fruit Would have been Nice but all in all a very Nice hotel.
I was stayed in a Garden view Room, the atmosphere was soo calm, perfect for meditation. The room was fantastic with a beautiful ceiling, much spacious and very confortable in all manner. Staff were very kind and helpful. I enjoyed a lot my stay
Stayed one night at the Granary and really loved it. Our room was on first floor and it was a great room with lots of room. Bathroom was really good with great shower/bath. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Restaurant was very nice for dinner but we didn't have breakfast there. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to the station and main square. Would definitely recommend.
The unique rooms with comfortable bedding and very clean bathrooms make for a comfortable stay with much more interest than a typical hotel. The restaurant meals are exceptional. Nice walking area. Close to main square.
We stayed for one night and was absolutely delighted with our lovely large room and bathroom. It was spotless. We used the bar which was tiny but lovely. Great location wot walking to shops and restaurants.
