The photos make this property look much nicer than it is. It is a old home and not very esthetically pleasing (blinds broken, chain to lock bathroom door, little decor, thin walls - could hear tenant below, etc.) A little TLC and it could be a warm/inviting space. Bathroom is small but the other rooms are good size. Listing advised 2 parking spaces but 2 of the 3 were blocked off repairing a pothole and the other one was taken. Directions to lock/unlock home weren't very clear (you had to do more than just enter the code). We found this out the hard way when trying to get back in. Mgmt says text first then call...we had to call and it said the number only accepted texts, so that didn't work well. Thought we were going to be sleeping in our car. That crisis was adverted. But, the last night the tenant's dog below was left outside and barking for a good hour in the middle of the night. No sleep for us. Overall I was disappointed with this place. But, I will say the kitchen was well equipped and there were ample towels and amenities. It is within walking distance to coffee, a few restaurants, etc. In general it was pretty clean. The managment did respond via text within an hour. Maybe a 6/10 rating. Not terrible, but we wouldn't come back.

Cool old neighborhood near everything
We stay in Louisville at least twice a year to visit my wife's daughter. We love this neighborhood and it's proximity to Bardstown Rd. The stairs to get to this 2nd floor duplex is kind of a drag when we were moving in but otherwise I liked the vantage point.
We only used one bedroom and we liked the centrally located dining room (with covered poker table as our table), the comfortable living room with TV and the kitchen with a small kitchen table. The entire place was roomy and comfortable.
A couple of negative things - the whole place need a good vacuuming and a couple of the blinds in the living room need repair.
We will definitely try to stay here again.

Mediocre stay
This is in a great location with easy access to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Unfortunately, that was the biggest pro of the listing. On our first day, the place was not well cleaned where hairs were found in the towels and shower and the counters were not thoroughly wiped down. The furniture was uncomfortable. At checkout there was a list of requirements that needed to be completed (stripping the beds, starting the dishwasher, etc) even though we were charged with a cleaning fee. This stay had a lot of potential with the location, but we unfortunately will not stay here again. Cleanliness is the most important thing to me when staying somewhere else. It is something that should be addressed prior to our stay and not something I should have had to address during our stay.

Great Space and Fantastic Location!
My husband, son, and I had a wonderful stay here while up to visit our daughter who is a student at U of L. This is a fantastic space with everything you need in our favorite Louisville neighborhood! Great food just two blocks away, plus fun shopping, coffee, more restaurants, and much more just down the street. There’s also a Kroger less than 5 minutes away. We’ll definitely be back for a repeat stay!

I missed this trip but…
Due to a major weather snow event, I was unable to drive to my airport, or town for a few days, and totally missed this small family reunion.
What I would like to say, though, is that Brandon was so very helpful and responsive to my requests to communicate directly with my brothers. (I had made the original arrangements.) I had no power or internet during the snow storms, plus my cell phone coverage was spotty also. So when I explained the situation to Brandon, he went the extra mile in making sure my brothers were well informed re the address, door code, etc. It was a relief to see he covered the needful and I did not have to keep relaying the information to my brothers when at times I was unable to make phone calls or texts, or forward anything to them via my computer or email. (Yes, it was that bad in the area…no power, no Internet, very sketchy cell connections at times, and road closures for a few days.)

This home was the perfect place for us to stay during our trip to Louisville. The neighborhood was lovely and there were plenty of places to go out to eat. A grocery store was around the corner for when we decided to eat in. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed.
