The reservation through Expedia was changed without notification. Requested a Dbl room King Bed. We were given a gaud room with mirrors and hot tub. No sitting area for guests. Room was directly across from another room under noisy construction (drills, hammering). We showed them the reservation from Expedia. They said they received the reservation with a standard king. The one we wanted was not available. Later the desk clerk came to the room and said they did have a double available after all if we wanted to move. We had already unpacked and did not have time to repack and move as we were leaving for a prior engagement and we couldn’t be late. The clerk was quick to blame whoever sent the reservation to the hotel, did not try to rectify the issue at first until speaking with a manager and assigned a room next to construction. We are still waiting for a receipt they said they would email because they had no hard copies. We did receive one from Expedia stating the reservation for a king double room suite. I have NEVER had this issue with Expedia or Country Inn Suites. I have been a Choice Hotel and Expedia members for years. It makes me nervous now to use Expedia and wonder if this all had been avoided if we went directly to the Hotel.

The hotel was fine. I think they were working on remodeling some rooms while we were there. The stairwell wasn’t vacuumed our whole stay (4 nights) one day the pool was closed, so we couldn’t use it. Our last night someone’s room on the 1st flooded/had water issues. I think they had to shut the hot water off bc I tried taking a shower but didn’t get any hot water. The next day the water must of still not been on to the bathrooms by the elevators. But they didn’t have out of order signs on the doors. So the bathrooms toilets were gross.

There was some construction going on in the late afternoon/early evening that I could hear down the hall, but once I turned on the TV in my room, I didn't notice. While annoying at first, I realize the hotel is either A) fixing a room(s) or B) upgrading a room(s), both of which are good. They did not do any work once it turned evening. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful.

The bed was comfortable, breakfast good, and all the employees were nice. Price was average, but so is the hotel. The elevator is very small. I can't imagine a family of 3 or more, and the luggage cart in that elevator at the same time. The ice machine on the 3rd floor was broken for the 3 nights we stayed. The corner of the bathroom countertop was amiss and could have injured someone if they weren't careful. One hook behind the bathroom door for your towels to hang, and the presentation of the toilet paper, I have to say was disgusting with the mark on the wall. I understand not to waste, but having that small a roll left over from the previous guest, could have been moved to an area in the hotel for employees or the hallway bathrooms. I have no idea why the folded paper was stuck under the toilet, see photo. The constructed area around the desk, showed too many wires.

Very easy access from I-65, and has a number of dining choices all in the same area. We had a King suite and it was very nice. Beds are comfortable and clean, and room is well appointed. Staff were all very friendly and professional as well. Highly recommend.
