This is a nice hotel right on the beach. There are 2 gorgeous pools. Very clean hotel. Room service brought towels twice a day. The food and drinks were expensive, but the breakfast buffet was extremely good. They have filtered water dispensers throughout the propery. Has a nice gym. There is a timeshare salesman in the lobby, but he wasn't aggressively pushy. From what I saw, timeshare salesmen are everywhere in Cabo.

The check-in was fast. Everyone was friendly. Room service brought towels twice a day. Valet parking was very nice. There were 2 pools, one by the beach and one that was more quiet with a swim up bar by the garden side. The beds were comfortable. We were very happy. The only minor annoyance was that they have a timeshare salesman in the lobby, but I think that's pretty standard everywhere in Cabo. But at least he wasn't aggressively pushy. Just a minor annoyance.

Rather expensive food/drink. It made sense for us to purchase their All Inclusive Package

Didnt like the rooms, too much noise in the mornings from the housekeeping ladies and also from all the gardening going on early in the mornings. One goes to relax and wake up late too but with all this noise it was impossible to continue sleeping.

The exterior of the hotel, gardens and water features are beautiful. On the surface it looked very promising but it is let down by restaurants with mediocre service and average food at inflated prices. To be fair the price of the vacation was good value, but having stayed at both the Dreams (All Inclusive) and Hilton in the same area we expected more. Garden room was good size - 2 queen beds and ensuite shower, bath. A little basic looking but not bad. We tried 3 restaurants: Pitahayas - Beautiful setting Mexican-Asian fusion - food was the best of the bunch (but I got the Montezuma's revenge, from the seabass I assume) so that put a dampener on the positive (I did enjoy it at the time) Girasoles - Mexican food - terribly basic menu, overpriced and very average. Del Cortez - beautiful beachside setting, most expensive of all the restaurants. Let down by average service (wine not not chilled, had to ask twice to get resolved) for fine dining and limited menu . I had an over salted risotto and my wife had the braised beef which came with very little but the meat. In summary I get your going to be stung a little at the bar and restaurants but you need to improve the food and service to justify it. Sadly if this stuff doesn't hit the mark it doesn't matter how beautiful the setting is!

The property is well maintained with beautiful plants and very helpful and friendly staff!! The concierge staff was delightful. I rode Gray Line Bus to and from the hotel and Airport and found this service to be great!!

This property is beautiful. Rooms could be updated though. We spent most of our days laying by the pool and if the wait staff ever came by to ask us if we wanted anything would have been a miracle. If we did order a drink it took about 45 minutes to come. Overall, the property is kept up very nice but the wait staff is slow and drinks/food very pricey. Definitely find the happy hours for discounts!

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary in March. It was our first trip to Los Cabos, and although we found a great deal on our trip, we didn't know exactly what to expect. The hotel premises were absolutely beautiful. We had a deluxe room with an ocean view which was amazing. We were looking to just relax and spend time together, and this was the perfect spot. It wasn't full of noisy poolside games, loud music, and wild spring break visitors like at some resorts. The hotel staff was excellent, as were all of the restaurants. We would definitely return and would recommend it to friends. You might note that the beach at this resort is not swimmable, but that did not matter to us.

Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar is never a disappointment. Sixth trip but this time we stayed on the hotel side verses the timeshare side. Beautiful grounds and pools. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the shrimp quesadillas and fish tacos at the pool bar/restaurant are to die for. There is always a refreshing new drink to try while taking in the wonderful weather and sunshine in Cabo. Girosoles Mexican restaurant is a favorite for cocktails and dinner. Cabo San Lucas is a short taxi ride where you will find plenty of places to dine and shop.

Great hotel. Food is a little expensive for dinner, but the pools, grounds, location are very nice. They even have a shuttle into town for $12 roundtrip. If your a golfer the courses are right on the property.

Best room. Great location. Does not feel like a typical touristy hotel.

A quick review of few things that happen to matter to me about a hotel: 1) Sleeping – I’m sensitive to light and temperature. The AC worked well. There was blackout curtains which were nice but there was a window with shutters that let in a lot of light. Would recommend bringing a blindfold if you are light sensitive. 2) Connectivity – I found the wifi worked quite well. A $10 fee per day for up to five devices. I was able to connect to all sites immediately whether I was in my room, by the pool and in the gym. I was even able to stream. 3) Facilities – Multiple pools and chairs along with beach with chairs. Most of the chairs around the pool and beach filled up during the day but all the pools were very nice as was the beach. The gym facility (for a hotel) was excellent. Had multiple treadmills/ellipticals, free weights, machines. Well-kept.

The pictures online looked great but when we arrived we were still blown away. This hotel is beautiful! It's a perfect setting cascading down the hillside with old world charm and views to discover around every turn. The landscaping is beautiful - bougainvillea and other flowers blooming everywhere. The food was fantastic - we only tried 4 of the restaurants but the food was amazing. The pools are nice, the staff is great, the service is great. We simply had a wonderful stay.

Attentive staff. Great concept Friendly family atmospher

Good experience, enjoyed staying there, great swimming pools. Would recommend to others who are looking for a great place to stay while visiting Cabo's.

The hotel staff was very helpful and courtesy. The grounds where clean and amazing kept up. The food was topened tier but on the pricey side.

The room we were given was below standard. The facility was beautiful, lots of construction going on.

Well after three days of torture here, we paid a thousand dollars to move to different hotel. We had 4 days left at the RIU and just could stand it anymore. First the food is poison. You will get sick and it tastes horrible. Second the beds are as hard as rock. We are not picky people by any means but this place was horrible. The beach is about a mile walk and when you get to it, you will just get attacked by 100 locals trying to sell you things. The alcohol is all no name brand so the drinks were horrible. Cabo is very nice and we had a lot of fun once we moved hotels (the Sheraton). Once we got to the new hotel is was very relaxing, the beach was nice and the beds felt like sleeping in the clouds compared to the RIU. I would never consider staying at the RIU again no matter what. Even if it was free. Even losing about 2k just by leaving that hotel it was worth every penny. Oh and once we told the front desk we were leaving to go to another hotel. They got extremely rude and magically the taxi ride to the new hotel was double. To put it bluntly don't fly all the way to cabo to stay in the biggest dump there. Pick a nicer hotel and pay a little more.
