Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa-All Inclusive-Adult Only

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

This place has it down right for an adult getaway. Good food, service, excellent gym, and a very well-kept resort. Only negatives were that WiFi can be terrible as it just goes down frequently and the wind can be strong. Pool side waiters keep you well hydrated and fed---Gonzalo was the best.

It started with a cab fare. $ 125.00 for four from the airport to the hotel. One way, so we paid $ 250.00!!! According to the cab driver, hotel takes $ 100.00 ( both ways ) from them!!!! Very windy place, dangerous beach ( huge waves ) and cold water in the pools!!! Only TV's are in a pool bar with a freezing cold water. Food is mediocre and not many choices at the best. It takes forever to get a drink or food. Grossly untrained and understaffed. Oh, in the middle of nowhere, so you need a cab to go anywhere ( $ 14 - 20.00 each way for four ). And they ask for the room number whenever you take a shuttle or a cab so they can keep track of you. The worst part is that they own 3 more hotels right there and those are light years ahead. And, I was told that is less expensive to stay there! The only good part is you can go in those hotels and use their restaurants and the pools. Again giving the room number and the name. And one day, without warning, we stayed without water as well. Also, you don't have any brochures on the display! You have to go thru consierage to do anything so they can take their commission. Unreal!!!!

We stayed at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica at the towers for 6 nights and we couldn't have had a better time. The food was amazing, our butler and hotel staff took care of all dinner reservations and we were served food and drinks around the pool extremely quick. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Cabo!

Amazing experience. Great staff and customer service. Great food

We have been coming here for years and the experience is always the best! Thi is an all inclusive, adult only resort. The atmosphere here is relaxing with good drinks at swim up bar very attentive staff. Because the current is so strong the beach is unsuitable for swimming. But still the best vacation spot for relaxing.

I typically never do reviews but this place warrants one. I took my fiancé here for her 40th Bday. Not my first time to Cabo but my first all inclusive stay. Couple things to know. 1. Not everything is included there are a few charges for an example the cabana's on the beach, chairs on the beach, and a flat rate charge at some of the restaurants to name a few. 2. You can not swim in the ocean 3. Recommend upgrading the room, ours was a little small, depends on how much time you spend in it. Staff is amazing, best I've ever experienced. Food was top notch, highly recommend staying through one of their sunday brunches.... outstanding!! Overall great hotel. We'll be back for our honeymoon.

This was my first time in Cabo, but I have been to many all-inclusive resorts at other Mexican beaches (Cancun, Ixtapa, Puerto Vallarta..) and this one was by far the best! The resort was far away enough from the hectic downtown and spring breakers. But, if we did want to get a dose of craziness, the shuttles were easy to use and free as Pueblo Bonito has several hotels in Cabo with free shuttle service to each hotel. Also, I was very impressed with the amount of food, restaurants, bars, and lounges that were included with the all-inclusive package. I typically feel there is always a catch with these all-inclusive plans, or the options are very limited and then there are extra charges for "premium" items. But, Pueblo Bonito Pacifica had so much to choose from. The room service was also included! Even after all this raving and extreme joy with our stay, I most enjoyed the friendly staff and concierge service. I wanted to surprise my partner for his birthday with a cake and balloons. And I asked concierge and a friendly staff member at check in to help me coordinate, and they did not even flinch and made it happen! It was wonderful. I can't thank the entire staff and their service enough. They made our stay absolutely wonderful and our vacation so relaxing.

The resort was so quiet and relaxing. The service was fast and very friendly. The resort was right next to the beach but you cannot get in or get near the water because it was too dangerous. Good thing they had multiple pools to make up for it. Would definitely come back.

Only downside is didn't have very good entertainment

Quiet location. Clean resort with great service and food selections. Access to sister properties only a short shuttle ride away (5 minutes). Great golf course on site (5 minutes), green fees a bit pricey but very well worth it. No swimming in the water on this side of town, but you don't want to be in that water anyway. A bit far from the airport. The new highway makes it an express trip though. A few stops to drop off other passengers made it a bit longer. Still not to bad. Weather this time of year is automatic. Low 60's in the morning, mid 80's most of the day. I think we saw 4 clouds the whole time. Chairs by the pool and umbrellas go pretty quick, so stake your claim before breakfast for the best spots. Staff brought out extra umbrellas for those that requested them one day when it was hotter than the other days. Bring your own sunscreen HIGH SPF, you WILL need it. The sun is intense an the prices on the resort and in town are expensive for sundries.

A beautiful peaceful resort, fantastic for watching Whales and walking along the private beach. Would also recommend renting a beach bed for total relaxation! We enjoyed the spa and the food. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I'm going to struggle with this review. The hotel was nice, staff was overall great/friendly, there were a few areas where 'all inclusive' fell short of expectations. Upon arrival - met with drinks at the valet, nice touch. Shown to the check in desk, standard procedure. We were 'offered' an upgrade to a villa - we declined (realized later this was part of a timeshare sales tactic). Directed to another desk where hotel staff were pushing a timeshare breakfast - it was not optional as this is where we received our all inclusive wristbands (surprised about wristbands like we were back in college/spring break - totally cheesy). Both of us put off by the timeshare pitch (twice) and now wristbands? Initial room impression was great, stayed in the new towers, our butler showed us around (Abel was fantastic). Veuve waiting on ice, great touch. Room was comfortable, bed was so-so, bathroom nice - not much pressure in the shower. There were some 'nickel and dime charges' in the room - $2 extra to use coffee, "additional charge" to use the bath products. Annoying. Also construction out of of our front door - views of a messy empty lot, saw cutting concrete, jack hammering, etc. Restaurants - sushi was ho hum, imitation 'krab' in the rolls, service very slow. Peninsula restaurant was nice, good quality. For the price, will head to non-inclusive and order what we want. I have a different impression of what 'Unlimited Luxury' is. Read other reviews - there's some truth in them.

Our Butler Feliciano was so amazing! Anything I wantes they figured a way to get it or make it

Took my wife to Cabo for her 50th birthday and as it is on 7th January, wanted some winter sun. We also wanted an adults only hotel on the beach, so the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica fit the bill perfectly. We had a fantastic time, one of our best ever vacations. The hotel is on the pacific side of Cabo, so no swimming in the sea but it is very tranquil whilst being a short cab ride to the Marina wit it's numerous bars and restaurants.

If you came to this resort looking for activities, forget it. In a word...Boring. First of all, you can stand in the sand, but you can NOT go in the ocean. The tides and waves are too dangerous to swim here. Secondly, there is nothing to do here but sit by the pool. If that's what you are coming here for, then you will love it, but personally, I got very bored. There was an employee asking if you wanted to play volleyball or do water aerobics, but after an hour of that, then what? There are only 2 restaurants, with mediocre food. I am not a big "foodie" so it was edible. There are shuttles that run between their sister resorts, but they do not run as often as they said they did, so plan ahead and find out the times. The service was slow as far as drinks by the pool, so we went and got our own a lot of the time. Our room was a basic room, but most of the others seemed the same. It seemed like all rooms had an ocean view, so don't waste your money on there so called "ocean view" rooms. The only difference is that you will get a higher floor. As far as the room itself, they are unimpressive and could use some updating, and quite small compared to other resorts I've stayed at in Mexico. On the positives, the grounds and pools are very nice, and the staff was pleasant. I would NOT stay here again.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is the place!!! Food is amazing pool is the most beautiful I ever seen, the resort was spotless and staff everywhere just waiting to help you. A must stay!!

The resort was really beautiful and relaxing, but the service was very slow. There are only three restaurants and reservations are required, even if they aren't full. Food and drinks take forever to receive, at the pool and restaurants, although room service was pretty timely. The shuttle buses to town aren't convenient at all. You need to transfer to another resort and then get the shuttle bus, which is a huge bus. In some cases they said the shuttle reservations were full and then we were forced to take a taxi. It seems the resort is new to all-inclusive and has some kinks to work out. Overall though, it was a lovely stay. Just not sure I'd go back.

To my deepest disappointment when I got to the hotel I was told that I cannot swim in the ocean, nor I even could go dip into the water! On the beach I saw huge warning signs for the hotel guests portraying how dangerous the beach is, from the sign prohibiting the swim, strong current warning, dangerous corals, man-o-war, etc. This is unacceptable. Ok, so no swimming, tough luck with cabanas. I had an option to rest in my room - at least I thought it was an option, until I realized it was impossible to relax in a room at any time of the day due to the constant construction noise from both sides of the hotel-this was a nightmare! Even closed doors and TV being on did not help. Construction work was starting very early in the morning and was never ending at night. Constant drilling, excavation work, granite/metal cutting. I asked to change rooms very next morning, however they had no availability from another side of the hotel, other than a room on a first floor, which I looked at and decided I rather listen to construction than stay in that filthy old building.I paid for Ocean View. This hotel positioned as a 'horse shoe', thus it does not have Ocean View rooms. Most of the rooms are facing swimming pool/garden area with a sneak peak of the ocean. When I asked about my ocean view, I was given a frown face saying that unfortunately they are all booked. How about the fact that I paid for ocean view and you conveniently took the money? Was it wort $4000? I think it worth $500.

I've been to Cabo several times & wanted to try the Pacific side. This is my 1st time staying at a Pueblo Bonito resort. The Pacifica was quiet as an all adult facility. A couple of nights had loud music for entertainment. There are no vendors on the beaches so you can sit without the hassle of saying "no thank you" every 10 seconds. What I didn't like was the service. I traveled solo and arrived at the resort at 1PM. They have a 4PM check in time. I was directed to the bar while I waited for a room. I saw several people getting a room & being escorted by staff to their room while I waited. I checked back in at 3:30, still no room, still watching people getting a room. I was told we'll come get you from the bar when it's ready, no one showed up. All this time I have my luggage with me -- no offer to hold it like at other resorts. At 5:30 I went to the desk & the room was finally ready. I was handed keys & they pointed to the direction of my room. No one escorted me to my room. I snuggled in for the night & the pillows smelled of cigarette smoke despite the no smoking policy. I had no coffee maker in my room. Called twice, finally got one at the third call & it didn't work. At the restaurants it was typical for me to wait 10-15 minutes for service. I went to dinner at Pescados one night & waited an hour for dinner. In reviewing resorts & deciding on this luxury resort I was disappointed by the level of service I personally received. I won't be going back.

We have been to this resort several times and keep coming back, as we enjoy the service, food, and beautiful ocean views from the adult only pool. Our only hesitation in going back would be the change from the once quiet and tranquil resort to one that keep loud music playing until 10 pm.
