Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa-All Inclusive-Adult Only

I'm going to struggle with this review. The hotel was nice, staff was overall great/friendly, there were a few areas where 'all inclusive' fell short of expectations. Upon arrival - met with drinks at the valet, nice touch. Shown to the check in desk, standard procedure. We were 'offered' an upgrade to a villa - we declined (realized later this was part of a timeshare sales tactic). Directed to another desk where hotel staff were pushing a timeshare breakfast - it was not optional as this is where we received our all inclusive wristbands (surprised about wristbands like we were back in college/spring break - totally cheesy). Both of us put off by the timeshare pitch (twice) and now wristbands? Initial room impression was great, stayed in the new towers, our butler showed us around (Abel was fantastic). Veuve waiting on ice, great touch. Room was comfortable, bed was so-so, bathroom nice - not much pressure in the shower. There were some 'nickel and dime charges' in the room - $2 extra to use coffee, "additional charge" to use the bath products. Annoying. Also construction out of of our front door - views of a messy empty lot, saw cutting concrete, jack hammering, etc. Restaurants - sushi was ho hum, imitation 'krab' in the rolls, service very slow. Peninsula restaurant was nice, good quality. For the price, will head to non-inclusive and order what we want. I have a different impression of what 'Unlimited Luxury' is. Read other reviews - there's some truth in them.

Our Butler Feliciano was so amazing! Anything I wantes they figured a way to get it or make it

Took my wife to Cabo for her 50th birthday and as it is on 7th January, wanted some winter sun. We also wanted an adults only hotel on the beach, so the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica fit the bill perfectly. We had a fantastic time, one of our best ever vacations. The hotel is on the pacific side of Cabo, so no swimming in the sea but it is very tranquil whilst being a short cab ride to the Marina wit it's numerous bars and restaurants.

If you came to this resort looking for activities, forget it. In a word...Boring. First of all, you can stand in the sand, but you can NOT go in the ocean. The tides and waves are too dangerous to swim here. Secondly, there is nothing to do here but sit by the pool. If that's what you are coming here for, then you will love it, but personally, I got very bored. There was an employee asking if you wanted to play volleyball or do water aerobics, but after an hour of that, then what? There are only 2 restaurants, with mediocre food. I am not a big "foodie" so it was edible. There are shuttles that run between their sister resorts, but they do not run as often as they said they did, so plan ahead and find out the times. The service was slow as far as drinks by the pool, so we went and got our own a lot of the time. Our room was a basic room, but most of the others seemed the same. It seemed like all rooms had an ocean view, so don't waste your money on there so called "ocean view" rooms. The only difference is that you will get a higher floor. As far as the room itself, they are unimpressive and could use some updating, and quite small compared to other resorts I've stayed at in Mexico. On the positives, the grounds and pools are very nice, and the staff was pleasant. I would NOT stay here again.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is the place!!! Food is amazing pool is the most beautiful I ever seen, the resort was spotless and staff everywhere just waiting to help you. A must stay!!

The resort was really beautiful and relaxing, but the service was very slow. There are only three restaurants and reservations are required, even if they aren't full. Food and drinks take forever to receive, at the pool and restaurants, although room service was pretty timely. The shuttle buses to town aren't convenient at all. You need to transfer to another resort and then get the shuttle bus, which is a huge bus. In some cases they said the shuttle reservations were full and then we were forced to take a taxi. It seems the resort is new to all-inclusive and has some kinks to work out. Overall though, it was a lovely stay. Just not sure I'd go back.

To my deepest disappointment when I got to the hotel I was told that I cannot swim in the ocean, nor I even could go dip into the water! On the beach I saw huge warning signs for the hotel guests portraying how dangerous the beach is, from the sign prohibiting the swim, strong current warning, dangerous corals, man-o-war, etc. This is unacceptable. Ok, so no swimming, tough luck with cabanas. I had an option to rest in my room - at least I thought it was an option, until I realized it was impossible to relax in a room at any time of the day due to the constant construction noise from both sides of the hotel-this was a nightmare! Even closed doors and TV being on did not help. Construction work was starting very early in the morning and was never ending at night. Constant drilling, excavation work, granite/metal cutting. I asked to change rooms very next morning, however they had no availability from another side of the hotel, other than a room on a first floor, which I looked at and decided I rather listen to construction than stay in that filthy old building.I paid for Ocean View. This hotel positioned as a 'horse shoe', thus it does not have Ocean View rooms. Most of the rooms are facing swimming pool/garden area with a sneak peak of the ocean. When I asked about my ocean view, I was given a frown face saying that unfortunately they are all booked. How about the fact that I paid for ocean view and you conveniently took the money? Was it wort $4000? I think it worth $500.

I've been to Cabo several times & wanted to try the Pacific side. This is my 1st time staying at a Pueblo Bonito resort. The Pacifica was quiet as an all adult facility. A couple of nights had loud music for entertainment. There are no vendors on the beaches so you can sit without the hassle of saying "no thank you" every 10 seconds. What I didn't like was the service. I traveled solo and arrived at the resort at 1PM. They have a 4PM check in time. I was directed to the bar while I waited for a room. I saw several people getting a room & being escorted by staff to their room while I waited. I checked back in at 3:30, still no room, still watching people getting a room. I was told we'll come get you from the bar when it's ready, no one showed up. All this time I have my luggage with me -- no offer to hold it like at other resorts. At 5:30 I went to the desk & the room was finally ready. I was handed keys & they pointed to the direction of my room. No one escorted me to my room. I snuggled in for the night & the pillows smelled of cigarette smoke despite the no smoking policy. I had no coffee maker in my room. Called twice, finally got one at the third call & it didn't work. At the restaurants it was typical for me to wait 10-15 minutes for service. I went to dinner at Pescados one night & waited an hour for dinner. In reviewing resorts & deciding on this luxury resort I was disappointed by the level of service I personally received. I won't be going back.

We have been to this resort several times and keep coming back, as we enjoy the service, food, and beautiful ocean views from the adult only pool. Our only hesitation in going back would be the change from the once quiet and tranquil resort to one that keep loud music playing until 10 pm.

Nice hotel but lacking evening entertainment. Pool facilities good but sometimes crowded as residents of surrounding condos and other hotel on the complex can also use it. Food at the reataurants was average apart from the sushi restaurant which was excellent. Beach was large but because of the strong waves you weren't allowed to walk near the shoreline and certainly unsafe to swim in. Main complaint was most nights there was no entertainment making the evenings rather flat and dull.

We celebrated 25th Anniversary. They have arranged according to contract perfectly. Every person you come across, greet you and ask for any help needed. Their language is Spanish but every person knows not perfect but very good helpful English.

This is the 1st time that my boyfriend & I took vacation to Cabo, we want the adults only with All inclusive. So the hotel look as nice as pictures on the internet, the staffs are very polite & friendly, the food is amazing. The only bad thing is we cannot go into the ocean even know the hotel is the ocean front hotel but I found out from our friends who went to Cabo every year, apparently there are only few beach area that you can go swim in the ocean. We pay for shuttle from hotel round trip for pickup & drop off at the airport $44 per person, it's about 45 minutes drive from hotel to airport & about good 10-15 minutes from hotel to downtown where all the club so you cannot walk to anywhere.

We kept dreaming about going back to Pueblo Bonito Pacifica after our visit last year, so we made it happen! This place is so relaxing and perfect for people who want a quiet and relaxing vacation in beautiful Cabo. We keep coming back because the entire staff is AMAZING!!! I can't remember the names of bell boys, but from the time we got there until the time we left they were all so nice. They greeted us every time with a smile and all so nice. We took advantage of the spa and got a couples massage. The facilities were awesome and my masseuse Betty was awesome! She gave me the best massage I have ever had! Gerardo set up a fantastic and romantic dinner on the beach right at sunset that was so beautiful and fun! Alexis by the pool is one of the reasons why we came back. He treats everyone so nicely and is so attentive to everything and everyone. I hope that when I come back next time, he is managing the pool staff because he is a true asset to your resort. Every meal was fantastic! I highly recommend this resort for the couple who wants to relax and not have to think about a thing while truly relaxing in paradise. We will be back, and we can't wait to see all the improvements. Thank you so much to everyone at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica, we enjoyed our vacation and left relaxed, but still wanted to stay longer after 7 days! Thank you!

AC went down one night which made sleeping a little tough. Swim up bar service was a little slow. Aside from that though, absolutely great service, good food, and incredibly relaxing! Tipping goes a long way.

We loved our stay - the resort was secluded and the other guests were great. We made some new friends on our trip. We were disappointing by the construction though. It was right outside of our room and very loud the entire time starting at 8am.

Everything was great. We only stayed 3 nights but everything was perfect. Friendly staff. The food was really good. Breakfast buffet every morning. Awesome ocean view. Nice big pool. Cabanas right in front of the ocean. Very relaxing place. And don't leave without trying their pineapple mojito. Definitely recommend this resort.

1. No activities exist! This seems like a retirement home for the "lifestyles of the rich and boring"! a. No pool activities (water volleyball, etc) There was sand volleyball during the heat of the day on scorching sand! 2. We bought an "All Inclusive Package", later finding out from other hotel guests that there are surprise charges on your final bill that you have to negotiate: a. One dollar (US) a day is charge to the "Letty Coppell Foundation" which is the "Owner/Developer". This was described as a "donation" , which we and others had removed. b. The tips were not as we put on the dining bill. I kept track of all tips and charges. The Hotel determined what tips we were charged. I had that revised. 3. The food at only 1 out of 3 restaurants were good. I would describe them as "trendy gourmet" with scant portions. However the buffet breakfast was very good. We went to the "Sister Locations for dinner" 4. The waiters around the smaller pool area was nowhere to be seen. For the most part, we went to the bar and got our own drinks. 5. The only way to get around between sister resorts were small vans or carts that did not go into downtown Cabo San Lucas. There were 3 buses in to town starting at 1:30pm That left from Pueblo Benito Sunset. Be prepared to spend $14 each way into downtown Cabo San Lucas if you desire a taxi.

Load saws and hammers dueing the day made it hard to relax by the pool.

We came for our honeymoon and were so pleased with the staffs attention to detail and care for their guests. We've never been so spoiled rotten and are definitely planning an anniversary trip for next year!!

The hotel is constructing a new wing and should be nice once finished. We had heard about the construction in various reviews and called ahead to see if it had been completed. We were told that it had been completed and that there was painting only. This was a complete lie. The noise is not too loud, but it is noticeable and the site is an eyesore. The food was average - would recommend getting a room only and going to good restaurants in Cabo.
