Hotel Santa Fe by Villa Group

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Broken shower door, rusty with grout in disrepair, noisy A/C fan clicking, WiFi not strong enough to use in room every one on balcony trying for signal, 30+ minute to check out because staff did not record payment in system / had receipt TG

For the money it is probably the best deal in town. Centrally located quiet and keeped very clean. Could use more appliances, like a toaster and coffee maker. But I had a very nice stay there. Would use it again. The local transportation goes right by at the curb, saves a lot of money. Taxies are $8.00 to $9.00 dollars for local destinations, the local buses are only $1.00 and they travel all over town.

We were escorted to our room after an 11:30 pm arrival. Immediately my wife and I looked at each other and asked what have we done. The room was dirty and at best sketchy. We spent money on cleaning supplies to try to make it clean but to no avail. The pool is disgusting and the language barrier is ridiculous. Orbitz in my opinion should follow up with the hotels they put on their websites. This was a lousy experience, so we checked out 3 days early and paid substantially more to be comfortable with clean accommodations. Very disappointed with the Orbitz reviews, pictures, description of this hotel.

Poor customers service, still not reciving refaund or an apologize

Staff was friendly. The unit was spacious and clean. There was a little problem with ants but not a major issue. Good value for money.

Hotel is only six small blocks from downtown, where you can find dining, shopping, and of course nightlife. Everything is clean, and the daytime staff is very helpful (nighttime staff has no idea about anything).

The first room I had was clean but malfunctioning tepid/cold shower with no pressure at alll. I had to dance around to get wet. Changed room but never had a hot shower...the days were 84f plus so not the end of the world. Carlos was the best, friendliest concierge but expressed concern about the management/owners willingness to invest to make the place a better experience

This hotel is dirty - we will never come back again!!!

very modest/poor condition rooms, stayed one and night and checked into another hotel

a mile from the beach...5 blocks from any food or boos....even further from tourist stuff...the hotel is an apartment building for timeshare salesmen...YIKES.

Cute place with in walking distance of everything in down town Cabo. Was very quiet and staff was friendly and helpful. We had to sleep on the pull out couch because the Queen size bed was so hard. For the price, it was perfect! I would stay there again! Rooms had small kitchenette and sliding glass door opened up to the pool.

About 5 block walk to beach. Very clean and staff was very friendly. Would stay there again. Nice courtyard with pool. Right in the middle of downtown. The only complaint would be that the beds were not comfortable. Very firm.

nice staff and clean rooms ,centrally located, reasonable rates, needs larger bathrooms and suitcase stands.

I have stayed at this hotel 2 times and i would stay there again. I love the location within walking distance to the city center. The hotel staff are wonderful very friendly and accomodating. The mini mart in the hotel is definately and added bonus. The room was large, clean and the beds were very comfortable. For the price I would stay at this hotel again and would recomend it to a friend.

We needed a one night stay till we were able to move into the Playa Grande. The room was not a place for relaxing in, the bath was tiny with no counter space, the fridge never cooled, and no place for our luggage (the floor). It had a very small kitchenette with a very small counter-table with 2 kitchen chairs. Outside they had a nice little garden pool area with tables and chairs around. Walking distance to town and restrants, the hotel staff was pleasant. Watch out for the timesharers of course, at the airport, then waiting in line to check-in at the hotel we were hit there too! (I won't even go into the rest of the week of timeshare hecklers)(NEVER NEVER go to the MAYAN presentation unless you plan to buy, we were baited with $300 cash and a bottle of tequila, it was our last day, and we thought what could it be, the guy on the street would NOT take no for an answer, but it was worst hard sell, demoralizing 3 hrs. of our life! Good Luck.

The third floor room was in a corner and dark with no elevator or offer of assistance with baggage. Windows were covered with greasy contact paper. We got one fork, spoon and cup with cracked plates. The toaster didn't work. The sofa bed was pilled out with no cushions to use it as a sofa. The door had to be slammed shut and the bolt lock was in disrepair. The pool was ice cold. There was construction next door. The lamination on the cabinets was in need of repair.

Dear Mrs. Burgess, Best Regards, According to our information, the misunderstanding was because you made three reservations of which 2 arrived on September 2nd, one was for 4 people and one for 1 person And the other reservation coming today September 3rd for one person. We received a call from you one day before arrival to confirm your reservation from us was given the accurate information, to which you answered us that your reservation was made for more people, We gave you the cost per extra people. When you arrive yesterday refused to pay, and you decided not to stay at the hotel. We are willing to ask the agency Orbitz, do not you charge at nights because did not stay at the hotel, with the proviso that you ask orbitz delete your comment with invalid information. Sincerely, Hotel Management
