We loved our time at the Grand Solmar. It is beautiful and tranquil, but what stood out was the staff! Everyone is SO friendly and you actually get to know the people who work in the resort. Anything you ask for seemed a possibility AND with a genuine smile. The food was also way better than expected and the rooms very comfortable. The place is positively spotless. I was joking with my husband and son when I found one tiny piece of dirt by the pool! AND, the spa....I had the best massage and was so relaxed I accidentally left my wedding ring in my spa robe in the hamper. I came back and the staff found it for me. This is a very expensive diamond ring and easily could have been "lost", but once again the staff was genuine and trustworthy:) We stayed at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita over Thanksgiving and I found the Grand Solmar to be far superior. There is a lot of construction, but that didn't really impact me personally.

When you get here you are receive by my favorite guys Rafael, Erick and Emanuel. They welcome you home. Erick takes your luggage and Costco run to your room and helps you with anything you need. Rafael and Emanuel are the drivers. They are the best. Always so happy to see us. When you are for the pool make sure you Joe he is the best. He was awesome!! Lili from the deli what a sweet lady.. made my green juice and it was incredible. They are all awesome but these guys made a difference in my stay.

I am resubmitting my review as management has kindly reached out to me with explanations. This is another example of the Rancho's excellent and professional staff, and service. This property is gorgeous. Although very grand, many facilities are uncompleted but will become so in the next couple of years? We were thankful that this property took us for the night from their sister property, Playa Grande Resorts. This error in booking was not the fault of Rancho San Lucas but Playa Grande's. The room we had at Rancho was first floor with gorgeous tile, granite, many high end extras and decor. We loved the room where we could see the breathtaking Pacific. This property does have a shuttle but it did take us over 30 minutes to get to the Rancho from Playa. The Playa is within walking distance of Cabo and the marina, which is what we had reserved three months prior. So we were isolated at Rancho. Taxis are approximately $60 American dollars each way to get to downtown Cabo or the marina area. This is because of the distance. The Ranchos free shuttle may be an option if running regularly. The pools are a true work of art at Rancho and more are being constructed along with an expansive golf course and other buildings with rooms. Deli and cafes are still being opened and hours will be extended although at the time we visited, cafes weren't open at 6:00pm. We had to get a frozen pizza from their deli. The one restaurant is absolutely stunning but meals were approximately $75 American dollars. This is a fantastic property and if you want a private resort to get away from it all, then this is your paradise! Although I would give the property a couple of years to be completed with all services up and running consistently.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week this past January 26 to Feb 2. Although there is lots of construction activity, we didn't really find the activity to be intruding on our stay. I actually enjoyed watching some of the construction activities!! The staff made us feel very welcome as always is the case for the Grand Solmar folks. The food great, the service excellent, the movie nights were very enjoyable. We are looking forward to returning next year to see the changes and relax. Hopefully the golf course will be complete and we can enjoy a round or two of golf. Can't wait till next year.

The Solmar group has put the final jewel in their crown! The Residences at Rancho are inthe development phase, but what is completed is truly above and beyond. From the architectural and engineering design to the customary 5 Star service from the first moment of our stay, we were delighted to be at Rancho. As an owner I can highly recommend this beautiful resort of a serene vacation!

unbelievable! my wife and I really enjoyed the location to town, the great service we received from the staff from walking in the resort until our last day. We had a very nice two bedroom condo with 1500 sq ft. balcony that overlooked the pool.

Ok, so this is a ten year project at least, but we enjoyed our trip at Rancho so much last year we booked again! This time the lagoon was operating, the water slides were assembled and the cabanas were welcoming. We had a great stay for the week where our five year old enjoyed the activities at the Kid’s Club and we enjoyed the chance to relax. Food at the Anica Restaurant is especially good and the sommelier, Christian, is especially knowledgeable about not only wine, but all things in the spirit world. We had a wine tasting and food pairing with Christian that was out of this world in taste and information related. Thanks to all of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

I visited the Spa with the nice promotion they offered. I had a massage, and what I truly love, a facial. The massage therapist was Sandy and she was outstanding. She was very good at making me comfortable due to me having right knee replacement surgery just 8 weeks ago. The massage--neck, back and arms was super. Her hands were strong and she was very competent. The facial was exquisite. This was the first time ever that I had the rubber mask applied to my closed eyes and mouth. Breathing was fine from my nose and I was transported to another place with Enya music in the background. Most ourstanding!! Askvfor Sandy!!

Relaxing week at Rancho San Lucas. All the staff were friendly and hospitable, especially Matias, who has so much energy and kept us fit with aqua aerobics! Elena enthusiastically encouraged and joined us to help us keep up with Matias. Lots of laughing and so much fun 😆. We look forward to our return soon!

While not finished this property will be the best of Grand Solmar! Staff super friendly and hospitality focused. The pools and lazy river will be amazing when done. Greg Norman golf course done soon. Super relaxing yet always from town. Access to all other Solmar resorts with free shuttle service. The deli on site is amazing. Not part of meal plan but fresh baked goods and amazing crepes and chorizo burritos. Go see Joel at Tide Bar he is laser focused on service. At the spa Sandy is the best for massages. And if you want to buy a timeshare see Danny Belrose. Have to also give a shout out to the activities team Marion, Elena and Mattius they rock and make great back up dancers on Karoake night. Nice fitness facility on property as well.
