Grand Solmar is the most beautiful resort. The ambiance and staff are top notch. The location, the view, the people… there is nothing better. I enjoy relaxing at the pool and watching the fisherman in panga’s off the shoreline hoping for their big catch of the day. I enjoy meeting fellow vacationers and learning about them and where they live. The staff of Grand Solmar are loving, personable and HAPPY! WHO ISNT HAPPY IN CABO! I love this place! What is extra special to me about this resort is the staff and the friendships I have made. Every other year I celebrate my birthday in Cabo. November 3rd was the day and turned out to be a very special day. The pool staff surprised me by singing Happy Birthday with cake and candle in hand and fireworks provided by the very talented Israel. I was truly surprised to learn my new friend and favorite Grand Solmar staffer Javier Jimenez arranged this for me. I met Javier very early in my trip, I locked myself out of my room. He was extremely helpful and assisted me with a room key replacement. He is professional, attentive and truly cares about his guests. I immediately befriended him and enjoyed learning about him. Javier went out of his way to make my day special. He made dinner reservations on my behalf and to my surprise joined us that evening. Javier, thank you for making my birthday special. I’m truly grateful and will never forget what you did for me. You are a friend for life. Javier Jimenez and the Grand Solmar staff are why I love Mexico. Laraine Luna Pasadena, CA

Carlos in the Sports bar is highly attentive and outgoing and always made our visit fun. I highly recommend the ceviche and cucumber martini ;) Roberto at the bell hop desk was very friendly and helpful at all times. The pools were absolutely spotless and clean and beautiful everyday. All staff were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time.

As a timeshare owner for the past 5 years I haven’t always taken advantage of enjoying the property. During this week Jose Luis made me happy to practice Spanish and we also played ping pong. Definitely recommend it being a feature and having more activities available for guests. The gym is great and the manager Alberto played tennis with us. It was fun!

This is a lovely resort. The penthouse suites are HUGE, and afford waterfront views and the sounds of ocean waves ( that I love!). I've stayed at a lot of resorts in Cabo, and love staying on the Pacific side. Plus = Close walking to Marina and all downtown Cabo amenities. No -one here trying to sell you "wares" from the beach. Great attentive staff. Many pools to find your favorite. Minus = Absolutely no ocean swimming here, the time-share element seems to attract a strange group of folks. Either very nice folk or smoker/drinkers who leave their beer cans on the side of the pool and are generally crude/obnoxious. Sister hotel Playa Grande gives you numerous dining options in addition to the great options here for dining on the water.

The sun was setting off the coast of Cabo San Lucas as my husband and I were escorted into a cabana on the beach for a couples massage. The waves crashed against the shore while Karen loosened all my muscles and I sank into the table. She had my feet feeling like putty and I became so relaxed I didn't think I could move. What were we thinking getting only a 50 minute massage? His was done by Nayeli and he thinks his was better. No, no one could match Karen's skills! An absolutely must every time we come to Grand Solmar.

Had the best time at the Sports Bar with Oscar. He made the best drinks and was very friendly. Made the Sports bar more fun and made us come back night after night. By far the best service i had all week was from Oscar.

Wonderful resort, views, resturants, and pools!! All the staff are professional, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone is willing to give suggestions for things to do in the area as well as provide whatever you need during your stay at the grand solmar. We had an amazing vacation!!

This resort is fabulous! Get the all inclusive. It is a little pricey , but worth it. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We ate an amazing breakfast at the resort every day. The staff at breakfast, Alexis, Joel, Heidi, etc. were wonderful. The sunset are gorgeous. We enjoyed the pool by the Brisas restaurant, Isreal was fabulous!! The Groto is a great spot after the sunsets and the staff still come around and serve drinks. Claudia at the main pool works super hard!! She was amazing! Love this resort and will be going back!

What is stunning about this resort are the ocean views everywhere you go. It is built at the end of the beach and takes full advantage of being in this location. The beach is not swimable but as you are walking around outside you can hear the waves crashing. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. The inner architectural design is stunning with waterfalls on the natural rocks, sand gardens, little pools, etc.The outside is equally beautiful with an infinity pools, swim up bar, fire pit, beautiful natural landscaping, etc.The hotel is very peaceful and Zen like. The buffet breakfast was delicious especially eating outside with the ocean views. This is 6 star resort. Everything was perfect.

We are owners at Grand Solmar and try to go twice a year. This November the weather was perfect and the sunsets spectacular. The staff continue to try to make our holidays special for our family and friends. My son caught a tuna, and the chef at La Roca prepared the tuna in several different ways...all delicious. The accommodations are lovely, and we highly recommend this beautiful resort. Another advantage of staying at this resort is that it is in walking distance to the center of Cabo.
