The hotel isn't the cleanest, and the vibe does feel a bit… “creepy” — BUT it was perfect for how much I paid. Even more, the folks at the desk were cool, restaurant in the lobby is some of the best Indian food you'll find in LA, and there's a Whole Foods across the street if you need anything for your stay. It's a great budget hotel if you're already planning to spend a ton of money elsewhere during your stay in LA. I'll definitely be back!

This place was pretty decent. It won't blow your socks off but it's super central to the downtown theatres and concert venues, as well as the museums and Disney Hall side of things. Rooms are dated but super clean. Shower wasn’t the best but that's every LA hotel it seems. Bed was super firm, but that could be considered an advantage. Also Richard Ramirez killed some people there so you get that little touch of the Cecil without the weird aftertaste. I'll definitely book there again..

The building is old and the rooms are basic, but it's super clean and the staff is very professional. I really love staying here and will probably choose this place over others during my next visit. It's very easy to get to the metro from here. The Indian restaurant on the first floor is pretty good, too.

I like how friendly and helpful staff at Stillwell. However, the only thing I didn't like about the hotel is yesterday, nobody came to clean up my room while I was gone, despite the fact that the door hanger reads "please make up this room". Other than that, I enjoyed my stay overall.
