Renaissance Long Beach Hotel

Pretty lobby and bar. Closet space is limited. You need your room key every single time you get on the elevator which is tedious. Close to the convention center so worked for our needs.

We arrived early and had to wait 2 hours to check in. When check-in time arrived, our room was still not ready. I went to reception to find out what the problem was, asking nicely, and they upgraded our room to the Club Floor. This was a nicer, quieter room than we had ever experienced in this hotel (we've stayed there before). I'd call the artwork in the room "nouveau industrial" with pictures from the harbor of steel containers, heavy rope, etc. A bit odd, but I was an oilfield diver earlier in my life, so perhaps it was not inappropriate. Some people might not like it. Difficult to get the temperature control in the room adjusted for sleeping. One minute it was freezing and the next it was too warm.

i did a late check in, and staff didn't acknowledge me right away...wish they couldve been friendlier..

Enjoyed the pool and Jacuzzi, I was able to order a Moscow Mule while in the Jacuzzi. Room was nice and clean. Went to Starbucks inside the Hotel. The location is great. Staff was helpful and my experience was great! Second time staying here and will be back again. Highly recommend this place.

Hotel is in a very convenient location with clean, and comfortable rooms.

Great location Parking cost fair Close to many restaurants in the promenade area Wifi is not free

we loved everything! great location and staff was professional. thank you!

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Air conditioning poor, tacky decor (We were in one of the "newly renovated rooms", had to request housekeeping finally @ 3:00pm, .Inadequate amenities @ pool (only 14 chaises) Staff not friendly. I think this place is poorly managed and could be a nice place with a completed overhaul. I did like the showerhead in the bathtub. Otherwise a miserable stay/

Nice view, great restaurant with an amazing salmon salad. Friendly staff

Very nice, clean hotel, convenient to beach and restaurants.

The rooms are in the process of being updated. Some of the upper floors are yet to be done. My room was all new, but was missing a few things. No towel bars and no mini fridge, though there was a cord and a place for one. The decor was nice. There was an Amway convention staying at the hotel at the time I was and they were all over the place.

I came in early, I knew my room might not be ready but kindly asked if there was any way I could check in early. Girl said, "let me check into your room", once she did she told me my room was not ready and to go do something and call back in an hour. So I did, when I called back to check on my room, a lovely lady answered the phone, I explained my situation and she also said my room was not ready, with the tone of her voice being very nice I felt comfortable in asking if another room might ready, that I could check into, when she checked she told me, "yes, there is another room available for you!" Come on people, just be nice and do all you can to make a guest feel comfortable, and above all, don't let the customer solve his own issues, do it for him.

Very attentive staff. The drinks are a little expensive but the waitress Sandy is a joy. All was fabulous there.

Travelling with small kids can be hard but hotel staff made our stay very pleasant and comfortable. Best hotel experience I have had in a long time! I Would like to go back there again.

My friend and I spent 3 days in Long Beach to attend the Joyce Meyer Conference. The Renaissance Hotel is an excellent location for the Arena where the conference was held and walking distance for the Aquarium, which has lots of great restaurants nearby. Nice quiet room with all needs met. Just love that area of Long Beach! Navigator misdirected us to 2nd Street for shopping which I don't recommend.

Was a great place to stay. The room pretty small, but nice. The pool amazing, the location was very good too. Note: don't ask for direccion by phone to the people thats works there...they don't have idea where the hotel is located!!!

Hotel lobby and lounge area are very nice, great modern furniture and it smelled wonderful . When I checked in the front desk upgraded me to a room with a view for free. I had a great view of the Queen Mary and convention center from the 5th floor. The windows had an indention with padded cushions so that you could sit and look out of the window. The beds were very extremely comfortable and the television was very clear. It was in walking distance to the PIKE, LB Terrace Theater and Convention Center. And all of the bars and clubs on Pine ave. There was an issue with the restaurant and the service was not very good for breakfast. The manager Jason was great and he took care of the issues for us. Other than that I would definately stay here again.

great room ! hotel bar staff just ok @ late nite. too busy. homeless, vagrants in lobby bathroom. ugh. not nice.

enjoyed the stay, sad that as a hotel guest you have to pay for the parking, (should at least get a discount!) Very nice staff

I enjoyed hotel very much. The only thing I disliked was that I hadn't even checked out yet and the cleaning staff was in my room.
