I stayed during Spring Break. Very clean, nice room, no breakfast, but Wild Flowers cafe 2 minutes walk. Felt safe in neighborhood. Wish it was summertime. Quite location. If you have extra car, you can park it on the street. Overall satisfied.
I was swayed to book by previous reviews of cleanliness and I wasnt disappointed. The room was clean and neat. Dated, but clean. Old tv on top of dresser. Bathroom clean, shower and tub, soaps and lotion packages - no issues at all! Coffee maker, fridge and microwave all in working order. Plenty of towels and bed was meticulously made. Only complaint was that the mattress sounded like it was filled with paper and my side was not comfortable. When we arrived, someone was on the upper level smoking outside and it didnt give a good first impression- but where can you smoke these days, right? Since it was a late airport arrival, the office door was locked but he let us right in when I gave him our name. Quick and easy.
We stayed in room 215. The room was small but was very functional. The room was very clean. The hotel can be noisy but I think we were lucky in our 5 night stay, only one night were there some rowdy guests that were easily heard. The coffee maker was nice and easy to use. We did not need a microwave but the refrigerator came in handy. Thai Dishes Restaurant was very good and reasonable--we ate there several times. Wish they had some sort of small table or shelves in the bathroom left of the sink in the corner. There was plenty of room there. We would definitely stay here in the future.
As stated in a previous review of mine, my family did love this place. My family and I would come down from Utah like every 6 months to get away. We loved staying here and I had a great relationship with the front desk lady (i cant remember her name-but she was awesome) so i got a job transfer to the south bay area, so me and my wife came down just to scope out places to live. Of course we were gonna stay here. That was until I met Jake who was working the desk that night. I am heavily tatooed, but I'm also a professional middle aged business man. Jake totally judged me on my appearance starting off he couldn't take my credit card. I told him this is the card I use every time I stay here. He then was able to run it somehow. He then charged me a $100 deposit. We normally pay $50 here. My wife was waiting in the car, but came out because it was taking so long and saw I was frustrated. When Jake saw my wife he said 3 times, we don't allow pets. Meanwhile we didn't have an animal in sight. We didn't even have our kids with us. He also kept mentioning our Utah license plates for whatever reason. Anyway, I told him to cancel everything and I will never stay here again. This stinks for them, because I ended up staying in hotels the last 3 weeks while I was looking for a home. You lost a great customer and a lot of money. Do not stay here!
Had booked this just for one night...as other hotel we were going to be staying at for remainder of trip had no great rates. It was a good thing it was only for a short night (checked in at about 11pm and left by 11am) Rooms are VERY basic, so for 1-2 nights it would be ok. But any longer than that even if you are there just to sleep...would be a bit depressing. Room was clean though. Bed comfortable. Dated as stated in previous reviews. No box of tissues in bathroom. Not sure if this was housekeeping oversight or not. I had some, so had no need to call for any for our short night. We were in 217 - bathroom only had stand up shower. Don’t know if they have rooms with bathtubs. Amenities - are sample like pouches of shampoo/conditioner etc. Front desk staff were pleasant and would have extended check out by an hour, but as it turned out we didn’t need it.
This motel is located directly in Redondo Beach and a short walk to the water. However, rooms are outdated and bathrooms lack exhaust fans and adequate linens. Also the decor and color scheme is mindless and hurts your eyes. Beds aren't comfortable and it's noisy. Occasional trouble in the parking lot. This is a place for someone who just needs a place to lay down. There's nothing frilly and it's over priced. I didn't see any drug needles so it passed with a cpl stars. Parking is tight and it's cheaper then $400/night in SAMO. Will consider Airbnb for my next trip.
Needless to say it was in the perfect location!! Staff excellent, room perfect except the beds were a tad bit uncomfortable....but it was only one night. Room and general area clean and safe feeling. Highly recommend this facility.
Needed an overview stay to attend a funeral...wanted to be close to location of service. This is a 2 star hotel that is more than adequate...very clean, friendly staff, room had been recently upgraded...bathroom, fresh paint, new carpeting...refrig, microwave coffee maker...safe area, close to restaurants, recommend Wildflower Cafe 2 blocks or so from motel. For the Affordable price, couldn't ask for more.
This is a great little motel in a fantastic location. About a five minute walk to the beach. Room was clean, housekeeping staff did a great job making up the room. Front staff was friendly. Plenty of parking.
Clean room. Dated bathroom. Disappointed that no breakfast provided so had to go for breakfast else where...which is a nuisance ....overall this hotel is ok for the price we paid Near enough to the beach but only a few decent restaurants in the area
