Portofino Hotel & Marina - A Noble House Hotel

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and we really enjoyed the bike rentals. The rooms were nice as well, but I was very disappointed when I looked out my window excited to see an ocean view, but just saw some water and then rocks. Apparently the ocean is on the other side of the rocks. Nobody told us that and the ocean view is the whole reason I rented this room. The service was also just OK, when I asked for things the room was lacking (towels, to, etc) nobody brought them and I had to find the maid myself to ask for them.

Good location great view close to the beach Very welcoming

Love the seals, and the nearby ocean and the easy access to boats and to walking.

Very nice hotel for the price though you think that they would include a continental breakfast which they don't and also the security guards harass you when you come in at 2 AM after a night out on the town

When we arrived, we decided to upgrade to an ocean view room because the marina view was actually a view of the parking lot. Had no problem spending the extra $250 for 5 nights, but the room was dirty when we checked in, and literally had 100 bugs in the tub that we had to call maitence about. Besides the doorstaff, the rest of the staff was pretty unfriendly. Baleen restaurant was also closed, so dining options were limited. Would have preferred to stay at different hotel in the area, especially for the price.

Awesome pretty fun great facilities nice people who went out of their way to help us

We decided on this hotel the day before checking in. The pictures on their site were a little misleading. Checking in was easy and the front desk personnel were very helpful and polite. But once we opened the door to our room we were kind of disappointed, the bed was really small but comfortable. The room itself was nice enough but for the amount of money we paid for the room for 1 night I would have thought it would have been MUCH nicer.

Staff, room and comfort were great. Their elevator was out and we were on the second floor so halling the luggage up and down the stairs was a pain. The resturant, Bellen, was a great breakfast with a beautiful view of the boats.

It was a warm day. We were looking forward to enjoy AC at the hotel. First issue we had is that the AC was broken, apparently for the entire hotel. I tried to call the front desk, but then the phone wasn't functioning as well. As we were laying on the bed, we noticed that there was stain on the pillow cover.. Wow. So many issues for a pricey hotel. Not worth it, I say.

I arrived at the hotel super eager to get checked in, I arrived from Santa Barbara and was staying at the portofino to see a concert at the forum. Initially there was issues checking in because I had booked so close to our check in time, finding our reservation delayed us about 30 min. Luckily the gal at the front desk Sarah, provided us with the best room in the house. She was so sweet and helpful she really turned things around after the hassle of having to wait to get into our room. We stayed in room 373 and I highly recommend this room. Best views hands downs! I'll be staying here again! 0 complaints +Awesome views-perfect for sunset watching +Comfy beds +Free bike rentals! Up to 2 hours! -spa was not heated, when asked to heat up staff said no:/

This is a beautiful hotel but only stay here if you plan on staying in the area. We were on the go the entire trip. I knew the daily parking fee was expensive but upon check-out I was surprised at the high "resort" fee charges. They say it is for the first come, first serve bikes they have and the pool and gym. We were going to use the pool, went down but the pool is very, very tiny and with several people already in it felt it would be too crowded. Did not use anything else.

Very clean hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff and you cannot beat the location (excellent ocean front views). However, the rooms are a bit small with only two small drawers for clothing (somewhat cramped feeling overall), no microwave or small refrigerator in rooms and there are no vending machines available for small scale needs. That being said, I would still highly recommend the Portofino Hotel & Marina and would stay there again.

This hotel is decorated in the nautical style - very beautiful. It is right on the water. They provide free bike rentals which is a plus since you can hit the boardwalk and beach right away.

Close to the beach and night clubs! Very odd elevator! Room too small!

The Portifino at Redondo Beach was great. Clean and comfortable. I just didn't like paying the $27 parking for overnight vehicles.

Location was great. $26 for parking, valet or self, was extremely overpriced. The Baleen restaurant was great for breakfast and had good service.

This place was really nice!! Great view, and great value!!

We had an awesome time at the hotel and around the beaches nearby.

View at sunset was a perfect way to end a long day! We upgraded our room to a suite and unbeknownst to us were put into a handicap suite ... Would have been nice to tell us in advance. Not enough doors for privacy in the bathroom but we made it work with 5 people staying in one room with a king bed, a double pullout and a rollaway bed. Location was easy and a bike ride or long walk to the beach. Hotel provides free bikes. Several chain restaurants within walking distance. Service was fine but not outstanding. Pool was small. Restaurant on property has good food.

It was nice and smells wonderful. However, it was muggy and it look like there was mold on the doors and parts of the wall.
