This place is (as advertised) steps from the beach and comes with a dedicated parking space, which makes it fantastic for a beach stay. It's also walking distance to Abbot Kinney and all sorts of fun along the Venice Beach boardwalk.
The owner was responsive when I reached out for check in and once when the wireless went out. There were a ton of TV options with the Roku, and the stay was pretty quiet (no big parties keeping us up) over the May weekend we visited. Getting in and out of the apartment was smooth and easy.
The new kitchen appliances were great. The apartment surfaces and the linens were clean and fresh.
However, the place, despite looking good, has been cheaply upgraded (which is fine - it's a rental), and that means the floor in the kitchen is broken and cracking (no hazard to us; just uneven flooring settling), and several drawers were broken. The floors had a layer of sand all over them (which probably would be aided by a mat in the entryway, even inside), and the dishes (in the cabinets) were dirty.
We were surprised that there was only one towel per person for our 4-night stay, 1 dish towel and 1 hand towel - and no pot holders. There was nothing for the beach -- no chairs, no blankets, no beach towels. (The ad doesn't say it provides any of these things, and we brought our own - but if we were traveling by plane, these would be added expenses for sure.) And there were no cleaning supplies (spray cleaner, for example).
