The hospitality exhibited by staffers was exceptional on my arrival and my departure!!! The room was clean, very comfortable and quiet which I appreciated very much. Thank you!!!

Superb experience, great location.... I've been returning annually since I first visited the Avalon 10-years ago.

The staff was absolutely impeccable. This was the only thing that made the stay worth Wild. Everything in the room was falling apart, the doors on the cabinets were falling apart.

A very simple hotel that does everything right with what it has.

We loved the art Dec o in the entrance way. did not like the alley situation had to go thru an alley to get to the room. Rooms very clean, view terrible looking into the alley. roll away bed very uncomfortable. They like to over charge for everything, $7.00 for coffee at bar in morning no coffee available in room?

I had stayed at this hotel a number of years ago and liked it then. But it's been refreshed and expanded since then and really loved it this time. Great location, accommodating service and cool ambiance. You are made to feel welcome. My only gripe: you are slapped with an amenities fee that I was unaware of at booking. It's not much in the scheme of things and I would have stayed there anyway, but it's odd that it's a separate charge and kind of not cool to be surprised. But I love the place and will go back.

We were very disappointment at our visit to the Avalon in Beverly Hills. Definitely overpriced. This hotel is more like a 2.5 star motel. You pay for location - it's just a few blocks from Wilshire and Rodeo. The pool and lobby area is nice. But room itself - very outdated. Caution Extra Charges! When we arrived we pulled into the drive and was greeted by the valet. He told us that valet parking is $35. The next morning when we checked out we were surprised to see a $40 parking charge instead. We also were charged a $15 amenity fee, which was not mentioned anywhere. We unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.

Stayed December 2014 for 1 night. Efficient and courteous check-in, guided me to the room in another building. Room itself - very outdated, 90's style. Had to call for a technician to check on it - repaired in my absence, but all equipment is rather old.

I gave 3/5 for the overall rating mostly because of the price. They charge you $31.00 for parking as well. The room didnt have anything too special but I could see that they hace renovated their rooms. Looks clean and mkre modern.

The hotel was good. The valet, proximity to Beverly Hills were all wonderful. The actual rooms are large, comfortable, and clean, and the staff is friendly. The actual hotel itself has outdoor rooms, and is a concrete based look and feel.

Old hollywood chic hotel nestled in Beverly Hills was a quaint experience. Friendly staff and fantastic food at Oliverio. I was pleasantly surprised. Pool area was nice to grab a drink and tan. The room was clean and comfy. Overall was a good experience and great value.

We fought for the 450 square foot room with separate sitting area we booked, although our confirmation was clear they argued until they finally "upgraded" us. Renovations done 3 years ago looked like 10. Hangout for 20-30 something hipster crowd with thumping house music in courtyard.

The staff couldn't be more professional and friendly here right down to the custodial workers.

The hotel was fine, the area was pretty good, the staff was very nice.

I was in LA for work (and a bit of fun too) and this hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff could not have been any more helpful! My car was waiting for me downstairs by the valets by the time I exited the elevator. The restaurant is really beautiful with indoor seating as well as poolside (and fireside) tables. I had a last minute meeting cancellation so ended up having dinner by myself poolside at a lovely, secluded table where I enjoyed a 50% off "happy hour" dinner for under $30 including wine. The room was perfectly clean and quiet with only 5-6 rooms per floor and well insulated for complete peace. The Dennis George products in the bathroom were just the icing on the top of a perfect stay! I will definitely be back!

Nice stay here - but bar/pool noise can go late into the night. Rooms across the street are better for quiet. Food a bit $$$.

I recently started planning a trip to LA every Feb for my nephew's birthday, and this was my second stay at the Avalon. I absolutely love this hotel, mainly because of the friendly, courteous and professional staff! It is an easy drive to my brother's house, and also nestled close to good shopping! The bed is so very comfortable, and other than being able to hear some noises at night or early morning (think it is just due to the building structure), I don't have any complaints about this fabulous hotel!

Great location and hotel. Nice pool area to relax for a drink.

Overall good experience. Comfortable room except for some small idiosyncrasies - such as lack of towel bars or hooks in the bathroom. Location convenient to Beverly Hills and W Hollywood. Straight shot west to Santa Monica beach.

We were given a room with a small bed after paying for a King. Called down and they told me they had another room for me...gave me a suite so our stay was comfortable.
