Got to room and it was freezing. Tried to use heat and it did not work. Got extra blankets and went to sleep only to be woken up at at 4 am by the people in room next door. We could hear EVERY word they said. Walls are paper thin and totally unacceptable for a hotel at any price. Avoid this hotel if we want to get any sleep.

Overall this is a pleasant environment! Francisco is excellent at the front desk, very accommodating, professional and the service & food is great! I would recommend this hotel as its a home away from home

We like staying at this hotel when we come to LI to visit our children and grandchildren. We live in PA and it has easy access onto and off the LI E. It is also clean and comfortable and has a lounge.

Courteous staff, prompt room service, great food in the restaurant, clean rooms, and very quiet.

All in all the staff makes this place! Everyone was very pleasent and helpful and made sure our short visit was a pleasent one! Thank You

The hotel is very conveniently located off the Long Island Expressway. It is clean, has appropriate amenities and is good value for the money. It's nothing special but perfectly suitable for a on night stay

Nice hotel, pretty consistent with what you would expect from similar hotels. Cons: The room was on the lower/basement level. Noise was a bit of an issue. The window faced the hallway and only the see-through drapes closed, which allowed light through and did not provide as much privacy as one would want.

Staff was very nice and friendly. Hotel was clean and well appointed. Only complaint was the air conditioning was not working properly, otherwise the hotel was good.

After my flight was canceled all I wanted was something that was going to close as being home as it could. Having stayed there earlier in the week, I knew this was a given for a place to stay.

Stayed here for a half a week for a wedding and to visit family in the area. The lobby is nice the staff was friendly and let us check in early no problem, the hallways around the rooms are a bit dated and worn but the room was perfect. Pool was outdoor and nice, fitness room was clean and had good variety of equipment. Price was unbeatable and is only 5 minutes from Melville. We are definitely coming back. Tv stations included movie channels as well to unwind after long days.

some of the others guest on my floor were to noisy. room was large and clean

good location-wanted early check in, but not able due to very busy

We had a great time while at this hotel. We drove from Michigan through a snow storm that made us have a late check in time. The hotel staff was very friendly and they didn't care at all how late we were. When it came time for us to go to NY city they took their time to give directions and helped us figure out where we needed to end up. Overall very good experience.

The hotel was fine and the staff was hospitable. But our room was on an inner courtyard and the only window open to the hallway! It felt like a prison cell and we were subjected to the conversations of every cleaning person and guest as they walked by. The lighting was also terrible inside the cramped little room. If you have to stay here, be sure to get a room on the outer ring with a real window.

Beside the unusual length of time (five days) for the return of our deposit, the room was comfortable with an updated bathroom.

i had a peaceful night cant complain we return in the near future but love pleasant people thanks

I chose Holiday Inn because I figured I would get a clean and fairly modern room. It certainly did not disappoint. Bed was very comfortable and the flat screen TV was up to date. Free wi-fi and they even had the NFL Network in HD for a Thursday night game. Room was small but was perfect for me. Hotel had nice staff, amenities, and restaurant/bar. Would gladly go again.

The hotel was immediately off the highway, easy in and out. Staff was courteous and engaging and the rooms were clean and rivaled those of the Sheraton I stayed in on long island two weeks ago.

We wanted a nice but economical hotel close to our venue. This hotel fit the bill on all counts. My only complaint would be that the couch/foldout bed was not very comfortable...you could feel the metal band supports, but overall, a good stay.

The Holiday Inn Plainview is very convenient to reach. Right off an exit of the Long Island Expressway. This made getting to and from my business appointments very easy. The room was clean and well lit but twice now my view, the only window is on to corridors in the hotel and I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The absence of natural light may be an issue for some. Bar staff was pleasant and my food at the bar was fine.
