Lovely little cottages. Cute little town. Friendly people, good food.

I liked how close it was to the downtown area. I did not like: That there was NO management on site. We showed up with a “closed” sign in the office window and a note with a number to call. We find out we have to get back in the car and drive to a nearby hotel to check-in to our cottage (not a fun thing to do after traveling 3 hours - with an infant that only wants to be out of his car seat). Parking area was claustrophobic/tight. We were led to believe we were renting a “cottage” not a space in a tri-plex. The “cottage” was dated and and super small. There was about 18” to get around the bed in the bedroom which is a squeeze for most adults. Not comfortable or up to egress code. The bathroom door swung shut, and there was no heat source in the bathroom. Sitting on the toilet in the middle of winter was akin to sitting on a block of ice. Countertops were warped due to water damage. The porch roof leaked over our entrance to our space in the shared cottage. Note in the cottage stating that there would be a $50 charge for any dirty dishes left behind?! Talk about making your patrons feel paranoid (and not relaxed) ... did I do all the dishes, did I get them clean enough? On top of that there was an envelope with names of 3 housekeepers on it, looking for a tip. What exactly do they do, are you supposed to tip all 3? Check out procedures were unclear. We had to repeat the process of driving back to the hotel to return our keys and check out.

I love staying here! It's comfortable & quiet. The staff is amazing!

Cute little place in a great location downtown. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.

This is my second stay at Boardwalk Cottages and it continues to be "just right" for me. I especially like the proximity to the beach and shopping. I will definitely be back!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am sorry to hear the confusion regarding check in. The new ownership recently took over and we appreciate your patience during this transition. We are also remodeling all of the cottages currently and hope you will choose to stay with us again soon.
