After all the bad review I was please to find the camp nowhere near as bad albeit a Little tired round the edges on the whole it was clean staff were helpful and the entertain well above what we expected

I came with my kids and the first thing that i saw was damp all over the ceiling so i went towards the reception i they said they couldn't do anything about it so we upgraded and a gain there was poo all over the bath i did not want my kids to see it but my son puked all over the floor so as we decided to try and get our money back but for some reason we couldn't but i am telling never walk into pontins it is a dump but only if you are only on a really cheap budget!

Were booked to stay 4 nights from 30th April. Got an e-mail today (16th April) to say booking was cancelled as low numbers had booked these dates. We were offered alternative dates or a refund. Opted for the refund as need to be in the area that week, but it will take up to 28 days to process. I will never book to with Pontins again.

This place should be bulldozed to the ground. It looks like it's not been touched since the 1960s. It's certainly never seen a lick of paint! There are signs everywhere saying "new Pontins 2011". New?! I think the only "new" thing is their website, which sells this place as the dream holiday for your kids. It isn't. None of the attractions advertised were open the 5 days I was there, and all the swimming activities were off. Asked to speak to a duty manager and she was always either too busy to speak, or busy dealing with the police (this place certainly attracts a rough crowd). The chalets are the pits. You need £10 for 24 hours electricity, unless you like being chilly. Amusements mostly broken, pool freezing, pool changing rooms smell of urine and the female toilets in the main club stink of nappies, since the nappy bin is never emptied. Also why in 2018, is the only baby change table even in the female toilet? Some poor single Dad was apologising for changing his child's nappy one evening! The free WiFi in communal areas kicks you out every 30 min. I had no 4G coverage or even phone reception at this place. No matter how cheap you might think you get a stay here, just don't go. Spend a bit extra and go to a Haven!

Our apartment although a bit dated was generally clean and tidy, there was just a bit of black mould in the bathroom and the windows were dirty but non of this really bothered us, the beds are very uncomfortable but as hardened campers we brought airbeds. The apartment has tv, kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, fridge, pots pans and cutlery and an ironing board. There is a heater in each room to sufficiently heat the apartment and some bedding provided but i advise bringing your own. The swimming pool is free and there is a well stocked shop, theres lkts of things for kids to do but most things require you to buy tokens to go on them, the amusements have a lots of diffent machines although a lot did near repairing. All off the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, we would definately use pontins again as it provided a good base for our holiday days out

Visited pontins again for easter, arrived on half 3 for a 4 pm check in, ir was ok but y u don't check in at the fun factory is beyond me, room was dirty pillows and quilts were filthy, went report no tin opener and the cooker grill didn't fit the cooker, 4 times I reported the cooker grill eventually came 22 hrs after the 1st time I never got new quilts so we ended up all in one bed what we pushed together and used thrones from home, tin opener came but didn't work so we brought one from the shop on site 1 pound, and we left it behind😅. Entertainment well I'd say one night out of the four was good that was the last night.. No sky sports or bt except on the fuzzy 20 inch in the bar area with man city Liverpool on about 150 people went pub in village, we were given same excuse as we had at new year projector has just broke.. Swimming pool looked better and we even had floats and balls to use great idea, we had lots of fun, but why open it at half 12 day we leave??? Why shut the amusement arcade and decide paint it at easter and the machines in main complex are all broke and ones working pinch ur money. How can the kebab shop run out of kebab at 10pm on the Wednesday evening?? Blue Coates again were fantastic and staff polite and friendly... BRITTANIA HOTELS stop cutting costs or it will be like it was years ago a complete mess. And please don't tell me contact your customer service team as I did after my new year review as they are a complete waste of time fobbing me off

Now. I am not a snob, but this place is awful. We payed for half board on top of club accommodation. Our first night there we were told that the restaurant would be still serving the evening meal which we had payed for. On arrival at the restaurant we were told it was closed by a 14 year old look alike who was busy counting the takings like a modern day fagan. Who could not believe that hard working families had payed top dollar for poor standard food that if you looked hard enough at you could still see the dye that was used to say that this food was not for human consumption. We were told that there was no food left and basically tough that we were late. In fact we were on time, but the staff had taken it on themselves to close early. We complained and we're then offered cold congealed left overs that any decent soup kitchen would be embarrassed to offer their clients. The accommodation was pretty crap. When I say crap I mean the floor of the main living area had not been mopped since it was built. I believe I am now the proud owner of a verroker or something similar. The park in its self is nothing like the park that was shown on GMTV some years ago. It needs a lot of TLC by a company that is passionate and wants to provide an experience for families that want to support the local community instead of flying to Spain which offers much more value for your money. This the third Pontins that I have visited, and by far the worst. I began to feel sorry for the manager who was as soon as she opened her office door had customers threatening to call the environment protection people over the state of their accommodation and others demanding refunds . Southport is beautiful, but is spoilt by this ugly stain they call a family holiday park. This is just after our first 24 hours. Give this place a miss.in fact you would be better off sleeping in an old battered derelict rat infested squat.

We had visited this place a number of years ago, and had a very bad experience. When we arrived it was a well managed and very easy check in. Arrived in our chalet, good basic decoration, had a basic old television with around 10 channels(but we were not really there to watch television). Had a dining table and chairs, a well stocked kitchen, with a fridge, microwave, cooker and a well stocked kitchen with utensals. A reasonable bathroom, the shower can take a while to warm up. Bedrooms okay, beds not that comfortable and worn out duvets. It is worth noting that the vouchers for electric do not seem to last very long, certainly a lot shorter time period then other Pontin's I have visited. Has good facilities, with a large swimming pool., a average shop, bar and limited restaurants and takeaways. Overall a good experience.

Hi everyone, I posted last week regarding Pontins at Southport, I must say don't believe all the reviews u read. We arrived on Monday dreading what we were going into, but it was clean, maybe a bit dated n cud be doing with a lick of paint. The chalets were clean enough to use for sleeping, cooking etc, a bit cold n a bit damp but I reckon we were maybe the first in that chalet for this season..id recommend upgrading to the classic apartment as we didn't need to pay for the electricity which cam run away quite fast if u have the emersor on for water and heating on. We didn't really do the entertainment at night but there was loads on for the kids, the arcade was gd, and the bingo was gd too (well seen we won lol). The complex has a soft play area as well which my 5 yr old loved! Swimming pool wasn't the best either! If i was to give anyone any advice it wud be, don't expect it to be amazing, it's gd and clean enough to sleep and cook...hopefully be better with the nice weather! X

we arrived on friday for 2 nights an all i can say is thank you pontins we had the best time ever. chalet was clean and warm an nothing was to much trouble for the staff. entertainment was top class an the park itself had a great atmosphere. thank you pontins for making memories with my children x
