Such a warm welcome, extremely kind and helpful staff. Made us all feel welcome, informed of local amenities and gave directions. Lovely breakfast, staff couldn't be more accommodating. Definitely recommend.

Stayed for one night in a family room, everything was good despite not having enough toilet roll and hair dryer not working couldn’t fault it. Great spacious room, tea and coffee facilities had snacks and drinks in fridge for extra cost but still cheap. Great stay will return in the future.

Definitely recommend Balmoral Lodge, the Manager was so helpful and friendly. Very accomodating. I stayed on the ground floor with a balcony on the room leading out to the garden. I stayed 3 nights, very spacious room with 2 big bath towels provided.

Is basic, but absolutely fine for us. Lovely owner and was allowed to check in early. Free car park and good value breakfast. The only negative was the shower had a weak flow, needed more power. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff were warm and friendly and will do anything to make your stay satisfying. There is ample parking,within walking distance of southport and its amenities. They do a very good value breakfast at £5 which includes a fry.

On the plus side, the staff are all very friendly and went out of their way to help. I was upgraded to a double room, the bed was very comfortable and the hotel peaceful. There was a bath and a shower provided en-suite. On the downside, the decor is very dated. However, it is perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The bath tap seemed to run out of hot water after a few minutes, resulting in a shallow bath water level. Overall, I like this hotel. It is the second time I have stayed and I would stay again.

Hotel was very shabby and in need of major refurbishment. Dusty bedroom and dirty bathroom. Putting that aside it was very cheap and so didn’t expect it to be five star rating. It served its purpose and on the plus side the lady’s (French) on reception were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was cheap at £5. With a bit of updating this could be very nice
