We had a great stay at the HF Fenix Urban. It's situated in a great location for access to the main city streets, the metro and Parque Eduardo VII. The room was comfortable, staff was helpful and the breakfast was quite impressive. We were even granted access to the pool at their other location, the HF Fenix Music where the staff and the views from the pool deck as sunset were amazing.
the Hotel is in a very good location in the city center of lisbon near the main bus stop of the hop on hop off bus tour. plenty of restaurant around the hotel. the room is big and the bed is comfortable. staff is all nice breakfast is good plenty of choice, the breakfast hostess is very nice i think her name is ines if i am not mistaken. over all ratings for this hotel is very good. Hope to come back again.
Stayed four days at this centrally located hotel. Modern design, very comfortable room, and great included breakfast with lots of choices. Room was clean and faced the street, but we weren't disturbed by street noise as we were on a higher floor. Close to Parque metro station and Aerobus stop, as well as the Gulbenkian Museum and many restaurants. Very friendly staff who were always ready to answer questions or help us find our way around, and in particular, we found the breakfast hostess very charming. I would recommend this hotel for a reasonably priced stay in Lisbon.
My experience at this hotel was odd. The hotel itself was fine, although the bedrooms are a bit small and my view was of an alleyway. The bathroom was large and clean. The breakfast was fairly good. However, he staff would be friendly one minute, and then flip on you and be rude or dismissive the next minute. I had several weird encounters with them in the four days I stayed there. The safe in my room stopped working. I went to the front desk to tell them and they said they would take a look. I had to go out so I put all of my medicine in a bag and asked the front desk to put it in in their safe since my safe was not working. This medicine would be difficult and extremely expensive to replace, and my day to day health was dependent on it. I was at the beginning of a multi week trip overseas so I could not risk losing the medication. The desk clerk took the medicine and I had assumed she put it in the safe. When I returned to the hotel and asked for it back, the desk clerk reached behind the desk and pulled it out. They never locked it up, and just left it sitting on the counter. Then I went to my room I found that no one had done anything about the safe like they said they would. For the rest of the stay I ended up locking my medication in my suitcase. Another time I wanted to have lunch so I went to the empty restaurant/bar area in the lobby. I asked the lady at the bar if they were serving. She told me to look at the menu and if I decided I wanted to order something she would call the restaurant staff up to take my order. She acted like she didn't want to waste their time. I chose not to waste me time and went out for lunch. When I first checked in I was told my room was not ready and I would have to come back later. I went to the very hot and cramped restroom to change clothes (since I flew all night in them), put on sunscreen, and pulled out what I needed for the day. I went back to the desk to leave my bags and then was told my room was actually ready. I could have changed clothes in an air conditioned room instead. When I checked out they asked if I had used the minibar. I told them what I used and they acted like I was being dishonest. Considering everything, they were the ones who could not be trusted.
When I booked the room, this hotel was a little bit cheaper than other Fenix hotels that are near, at the main avenue, and they belong to the same hotel company. There are three hotels situated at the Av Liberdade, and this hotel Fenix Urban has another location, very close to this avenue. I think that is why is cheaper than others, and I reccomend it. I also recommend it because of breakfast variety: a lot of different fruits, juices, cereals...
Rooms are not well isolated. It was a business trip and on the first day of meetings I arrived at the hotel at 3.30 PM and the room had not been done. I called reception desk and I was told that I did not place the sticker properly. Unbelievable...
Friendly reception. They offered to zip our beds together to make a double room and when we returned from dinner had done so. Breakfast was fine, and the hotel is just a very short walk from Marques de Pombal or even better the Parque metro station. Also just around the corner from Aerobus stop although we didn't use that. Room very clean, quiet and comfortable. My wife (trained top hotel housekeeper) was impressed to see cleaners down on their knees dusting under the beds!!
New hotel from a local chain, good location, near Avenida da Liberdade, spacious rooms, modern decoration, excellent breakfast buffet, staff was ok. Close to many restaurants and within footsteps from a 24 hour car rental. Offers a mobile 3G router for a fair price, around 6 euros per day.
Chose this hotel because it was near sightseeing bus routes (traveling with a friend with limited mobility). Room was OK, basic with few amenities. Hot water pot with tea (no coffee), mini fridge, TV, and not much else. Floor of room had dirt and crumbs, bathroom floor had clumps of dust, broken tiles. Bed was clean and reasonably comfortable. Hotel desk staff very helpful and pleasant, lobby a pleasant waiting place. Room was quiet. Area around hotel not very picturesque, but major attractions are nearby. A pretty good deal for the price.
The hotel is near to bus stops and metro, and near to a main shopping street Avenida de Libertade. the bus to and from teh airport is 40 meters away. The staff realy friendly and helpfull and the room clean with a comfortable bed. The size of the room is correct and the breakfast buffet complete. Maybe a bit pricey but all the hotels in that part of the city are a bit expensive. Next time I am in Lisbon I will check on that hotel again.
