We booked this hotel through Orbitz. The difficulty started when we entered our numbers of 5 guests (3 adults and 2 children total) in various combinations. There are no suites so we had to book 2 rooms. When entering only one room, I noticed a choice of rooms with 2 double beds but when I requested 2 rooms (fearing if I booked independently, I may get shut out, as the website was warning limited availability), the option of 2 double beds was gone and only 1 double bed showed up in each room! In the end, we had to go with one double per room and requested an upgrade/another bed if possible upon our arrival. When we reached the hotel, they only found one room booked in their records despite reading my confirmation on my cell phone. 20 minutes later, they discovered, as I suggested, the second room was in another adult's name. 30 minutes later, the manager agreed to put in a chaise lounge as an extra bed in one of the rooms as no room was available with 2 double beds. I don't think you could be in this hotel if you have more than one child! Unless, they were really all out of rooms with 2 double beds or they don't want to give them to people who do not book directly. We then waited for the extra bed to be made up. After travelling all day with 2 young children, this wait was not a good way to start. Rooms were clean. One room's view was awful but we were too tired to care (though my very cranky child be this point did!). If you are staying, try to get the main street view.
This hotel is nicely decorated. The spa like feel when you enter room as they have music flowing in the overhead speakers in your room and bathroom is a nice touch. The bed is one of the most comfortable I stayed in in Portugal and the bathrooms slightly larger than many others.
It's very deceiving. It's not comfortable to stay at.
Very polite and helpful staff . Close to the metro station access to anywhere from the hotel for tourists and beach holiday.
I have to put 50 words ... well ... a very very clean and nice Hotel, the workforce very attentive and professional, very pleasant stay ... correct ... a very correct Hotel ... but I consider that a bit far for getting about the center of Lisbon ...
We booked this hotel as a base to work from as we planned side trips to other parts of the country. We needed a place to store the bulk of our luggage and spend a few nights in between trips (4 nights total stay). Pros, the rooms and common areas are very clean. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Free wi-fi. Cons, Tiny uncomfortable room. Tiny toddler size everything. No emenities, gym or business center. Hotel has one restaurant/ Bar with a limited menu. The location is obscure. Even taxi drivers needed GPS to find. Bottom line, if it's within your budget go for a 5-star hotel. It's worth the extra cost for the comfort and enjoyment of your vacation.
This hotel clearly was the best I have experienced to date whilst staying in Lisbon. The hotel is clean, highly and meticulously organized, and the staff are phenomenally helpful! A tremendous value for the money spent! A special thanks to the staff members I encountered: João, Rui, Nuno (both Nunos) Jeane, José, Ana––all stellar! I would return to this hotel in a heart-beat.
The food was good. The rooms were nice and very clean. The staff was very helpful. We were close to Metro stops so we did not need a car because we travelled on public transport everywhere. We used subways, trams, trains and buses and explored the entire city and travelled to Porto for the day as well. We definitely would return to the Turim Alameda
Alameda is a bit out of the way. Mostly a residential neighborhood. But the price (especially when breakfast is included), courteous staff, and proximity to convenient public transportation, make staying here a great deal.
Small but modern room. Very clean. Excellent location, near the Metro station. Excellent value.
Good location and clean. I would recommend this place.
I stayed at the Turim Alameda for about 9 days. The hotel is about two blocks from subway and you can go to everywhere from there. The room is a little small but clean and confirtable. I liked the fact they have laminate floors instead of carpet. A good choice in Lisbon.
Great place, very polite personal, very clean and quite. The breakfast was decent....The only remark was the internet, we couldn't use the laptop in our room.
Excellent location between two Metro stations and walking distance to the Saldanha shopping area.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. WiFi access can be spotty at times though. Breakfast is adequate withscrambled eggs, cold cuts, sweet bread, fruit and coffee. The waitresses are always smiling. The only thing worth making a note of is that the hotel is some distance away from downtown Lisbon (or at least the turisty stuff). so we had to walk or taxi a lot. Would recommend this hotel to friends to friends
This time we were on the 1st floor, The wood tiles on the floor were damaged, toilet didn't flush well. Last room on 4th floor had no problems like that. Over all,: great staff, nice place. Good value and... breakfast included. I would rate it 3 star. Not the 4 star hotel they advertise.
Great service, rooms are a bit small but probably normal for Lisbon. Very friendly staff, nice and clean place. Overall, a great experience
This is an above average hotel. I wish there were more amenities like a gym or a pool. Breaksfast is good, and staff is very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi connection was extremely poor, though. It's not the first time I encounter this issue is European hotels.
Great experience at Hotel Turim Alameda in Lisbon. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and modern. The linens and towels were of good quality and smelled good. The toiletry products provided daily were nice as well. Wireless internet worked great. Delicious, full breakfast every morning. Would highly recommend this hotel.
We had a wonderful stay at Turim Alameda. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. They offered us assistance with finding restaurants in the area, local markets, and areas to visit. They called and ordered pizza for us on our last night. The rooms were clean and contemporary. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The hotel is in a safe area and within walking distance to the metro. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Portugal!
