The palace is beautiful both inside and out. It is located in an area not convenient to shops or restaurants. We stayed in the "extension building" which doesn't look like the palace - not as opulent, cared for or stunning. The furniture, woodwork, carpet, and furniture in our room was dated, worn and needing replacement. The shower was so small it was difficult to use. Towel warmer nice but service slow. We tried multiple times on 2 different days to reach the front desk and it just rang. One day we waited for our car for 15 minutes - and when we checked - no one was getting it. This made us late for a reservation. We had a dinner in the restaurant that was OK - not great - disappointing for a special meal and the price - especially considering there were only a few other tables. We received great service at check in and it went down from there. Nothing terrible - but a number of misses and things delayed, unresponsive and tired. Beautiful in public areas but not the stay we wanted to relish.

The hotel is amazing! We have traveled all over the world and this is one of my favorite hotels from all of the ones that I have visited. If you were going to Lisbon this is the hotel you need to stay in if you love history, artwork, Turkish baths, beautiful pools And excellent service

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, but was disappointed that the staff refused to provide an invoice, explaining that they could not issue one because the reservation was made through Hotels.com. I travel frequently for business, and this was the first time I encountered such an issue.

We like this hotel facilities. It is a beautiful hotel. The only thing we feel unsatisfied is the staff. Except the front desk employees, no other employees smile or say “hello” to customers. It looks like none of them are happy working here. It doesn’t like a 5 stars hotel service.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. From the start, the customer service was horrible. I had to carry my own luggage to the room, and during check-in the front desk lady seemed to be mocking my appearance simply because I was carrying a backpack. The overall service felt dismissive and unwelcoming, almost as if guests are only treated well if they “look” a certain way. At breakfast, I felt uncomfortable and out of place the entire time—the atmosphere was anything but inclusive or hospitable. I cannot recommend this hotel unless you fit the image of the clientele they seem to cater to. Otherwise, expect to be treated poorly. Will not be returning.

Majestic property situated on beautifully landscaped grounds. Great views of the 25 de Abril Bridge and a short drive into both downtown Lisbon or Costa da Caparica if you're looking for beautiful beaches and dining along the coast. The hotel breakfast buffet was top notch and service all around was excellent. Highly recommend!

Terrible hard bed no mattress topper on it for one night it was like sleeping in the floor when raised with management told no one else had an issue - the next night the bed had a topper on. Sunbeds awful, no service by the pool would not recommend.

Wonderful oasis

This place is an oasis of calm and nature on the city with two pools and amazing breakfasts, really comfortable rooms and a whole spa. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely and not touristy but it’s still really convenient. The service is top notch, Deborah who works at breakfast and the pool bar is an incredibly professional and lovely person and so is Luisa who is part of the breakfast crew. We will be back for sure!
