Olissippo Oriente

4.0 out of 5.0

This hotel has elegant appeal and warmth the minute you walk in the lobby. That positive ambiance is maintained in the bar and restaurant and the room itself. The business centre is deficient for a hotel of this grandeur. One computer. One printer. No PDF/Adobe. If one person is monopolizing the business centre, you are out of luck. The bar was lovely with great wait staff and mediocre food. Breakfast in the dining room was in splendid surroundings but the buffet - for all its myriad of choice - was not at all good. Slept well, but did not dine well.

Just completed 2nd stay at Hotel Olissippo Oriente and couldn't be happier. Excellent location within short walking distance from Estação do Oriente (Lisbon Oriente Station), Oceanário de Lisboa and Alice Arena. While the hotel has limited offering (opening times) of its in-house restaurant, the nearby Centro Vasco da Gama (shopping centre) and near by restaurant offer good choices - not that anyone really travels to Lisbon to visit shopping centres. There is not in-house gym, but Pump just 2 minutes across the road is well equipped and take day bookings. Lisbon's excellent metro also means you can head into downtown area with relative ease. If you need a taxi, do order in advance because they can be slow arriving if you are in a hurry.

Stayed in this hotel due to work nearby. Really comfortably located next to Oriente station and by the Casino Lisbon, Parque das Nacoes, etc. It might not have the views of other hotels nearby and it does not really stand out from the neighbourhood but it is a decent choice while in the region. Rooms are big, breakfast included (decent buffet) but the biggest points go for the location.

Rooms are very spacious, modern and with a great decoration! Bed is comfortable and bathroom is very pretty and clean. Great breakfast too. Staff friendly and helpful. Amazing value for money! The hotel is situated a little outside the city centre, but there are lots of restaurants and one step away from Lisbon's Casino and Vasco da Gama shopping centre, train and metro stations. Some attractions around: MEO Arena, Oceanario and Telecabine Lisbon, bus stop just opposite the hotel. So if you came to Lisbon as tourist or for a business trip or just a short stay for example for concert at the MEO Arena, we highly recommend this hotel.

It was a very convenient location to close to the Station Oriente and the airport. We were given a suite, however it was located next to the elevator. When we got to the bedroom side to sleep, there was continuous low frequency vibration noise coming form the elevator shaft. We had to change the room.

Pleasant clean, well kept and well managed with nice staff. The rooms are a decent size, the breakfast standard but good quality. Metro at Oriente (5 min) connects directly to the airport. Recommended

We were pleased to stay at the Olissippo, in a a great modern neighbourhood, next to the Portuguese Pavilion, the Ocenarium and the Oriente station. Good posibilities for shopping, restaurants at the waterfront of the Tagus river. The hotel offers nice rooms (best sleeping quality), a good breakfast (same variety, but enough to choose from), cleanliness and welcoming staff. There are enough posibilities to get to the historical center in front of the hotel or nearby ( train, bus, sightseeing bus, metro). Suitable for leisure (even families with kids) and business.

beautifull 4 stars hotel with very helpfull stuff ,very nice furnished rooms nice and quite lobby and bar very nice reach breakfast with outside terrace they have a large parking for 5 euro per day very very recommeded oceanarium and telecabin and casino are cross the hotel 2 minutes walk from there hop on hop off bus is cross the street that is it convinient

Great Location short from Metro Station and not far away from Airport. Several Restaurants and Shopping mal located in the same area than the Hotel. Friendly staff and very clean room. Breakfast was o.k.

I wasn't sure where the hotel was located when i booked it. Turns out it was only three stops from the Airport and is served by the ultra modern designed Oriente metro station. A train ride into the centre is about 20 minutes and the hotel is located roughly two blocks from a huge shopping mall and is a block in front of the ocean. Despite all this, the hotel was quiet, the rooms bright and clean and the service polite and professional. As the mall was nearby I didn't sample any of the restaurant or bar food and I didn't see a pool or gym. In addition to the mall, behind the hotel is the Lisbon Oceanarium, Telecabine Lisbon (cable car ride across the coast) and Casino Lisboa
