The service was excellent and made us feel at home. The hotel was a bit far from the town center, but it's still walkable. The parking was tight so we had the staff help us pull out the car after our stay.

Lovely room, very friendly and helpful staff, reasonable breakfast, quirky bonus rewards related to room cleaning and accessible with public transport. The hotel has an added attraction with a daily light show. We were a little confused with booking the restaurant, maybe because 7:30 is early for dinner in Portugal, offered 8:45 although restaurant was empty at 7:30. We’d happily return.

Most staff were rude. Most of the experience felt like staff just wanted tips. Twice someone escorted us to our room to brief us when we only needed once. Twice we were asked by the same person if he could take our luggage for us. We were told we couldn’t take water from the bar to our room and I couldn’t wait in the lobby for someone to bring me water so I could take it to the room. It had to be staff deliver. We waited for two and a half hours for our laundry and was told twice it would be delivered ‘soon’, only to find out after they put it in our closet and never told us. They had our credit card on file and still insisted we check out. We will never stay or recommend this place again.

The reception (she had a unique name that started with an M) and concierge were delightful. The made sure that we had everything we needed for a perfect overnight. We made sure to be back for the light show and it was great too!

Staff were really nice and welcoming and could not do enough for you. The rooms were spotless. The light show every night was brilliant and something I’ve not seen before in a hotel. Breakfast was great with so many options. In two occasions we had free gifts sent to the room including a Portuguese tart and little biscuits. If you chose not to have your room cleaned for one day they provide a €5 voucher to use at the bar. It’s in a great location which isn’t too far from the centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious room with a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The location is a bit far from the main points of interest — not walkable. Also, be aware of the breakfast credit policy: if you decline housekeeping, you’re supposed to receive a credit for breakfast. Despite having the vouchers and not requesting cleaning during our 4-day stay, we did not receive any credit at checkout. Breakfast at $14 per person daily, it’s not worth it.
