Hôtel balladins Lille

We stayed here for one night and had a day and a half exploring Lille. This was plenty as not much to do probably because of the time of year. We went to visit the Zoo but it was closed until 24th Feb. The hotel took us 5 mins to walk from Eurostar and it’s literally opposite the local train station. The room was good, shower great and staff helpful/friendly. Only downside was there’s a lot of building work being done outside the front of the hotel so we were woken up around 6 with the bins being emptied, building work starting. Plenty of places to eat/drink - bring plenty of Euros though!

Although hotel is in an excellent location the beds[twin room]were uncomfortable and small .This is a budget hotel but worth shopping around as definitely not comfortable. We found the room cold and bedding inadequate.

We stayed in twin room number 600 for one night a couple of weeks ago for €75. Room was clean and a decent size and at the back of the building so it was very quiet. The bathroom was a good size and had plenty of hot water. Our room had a very bad cold draft coming in from the hallway but a strategically placed blanket at the bottom of the door stopped this. The ladies at reception were very friendly upon check in. Hotel is conveniently located across the street from the train station (not sure which one as we drove to Lille) and 5 mins or so walk to the square and old town. If looking for coffee, would highly recommend Nottinghill Coffee. There are a couple of car parks nearby where you can leave the car overnight. The one we chose was connected to a shopping mall and cost €26 for 24 hours. If you just need somewhere to lay your head, would recommend this place for the convenience and the friendly staff.

The hotel is in a walking distance from the train stations if you coming by train and literally right in the city centre and very close to the city’s landmarks. Rooms are recently renovated, staff is nice and helping, clean and tidy . WiFi was connection was excellent but I was on the second floor so can’t tell anything about the rest . If you have to check out but you still have some hours left to spend in Lille you may leave your bag in a locker at the hotel lobby for just 2 € unlimited time . ( 4 € for a suitcase ) . Didn’t try the breakfast as I preferred to eat later but 10 € for all you can eat buffet sounds good to me . All in all the place is nice and well maintained, nothing posh of course but is good place to stay while visiting the beautiful city of Lille .

The staff and room are good for business trips. Location is right next to restaurants and near the local trains. However, their free WIFI is a complete joke seeing as my prepaid mobile is able to produce faster and higher speeds than the hotel WIFI.

For the price we paid (€45) we are really pleased. Rooms are tiny but just fine for a short stay at low cost. Also seemed clean. Very well situated by the Gare lille Flandre, even à nice view from the window. Can be a little loud as it's located right on top of 2 bars (3 brasseurs) but again, for this price in Lille it's quite good

Close to train stations and plenty of restaurants. Clean hotel, friendly staff.. Room was a little uhm bijoux, but not stuffy. Bigger beds would have been nice, but wouldn't fit in the room without feeling my to cramped. Spacious shower

Hotel was in a decent location very close to the train station and shops, this did make it quite loud during the night! The hotel itself was very basic but on the whole clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price a decent hotel but one night was enough!

Reception staff were excellent. The room was noisy throughout the night. The hotel bedroom was small but relatively comfortable. You get what you pay for the hotel was very cheap and good value but tired.

Stayed here for three night. Good location. Close to station, metro and plenty of eateries. Does what it says on the tin. Typical 3 star hotel. Easy lift or stair access. Breakfast over priced in our opinion.
