What a beautiful place! The hosts were wonderful and the yurt was welcoming, warm, and cozy. My family had a great time playing games and just spending quality time together. Definitely a place we’d visit again.

It was perfect for our “sister getaway.” Zach and April were very responsive and thoughtful. We highly recommend the morning delivery of the baked goods. We weren't ready to leave!!

Great Location and Stay

The property was very clean and orderly, not too far from town but a good quiet stay. The owners were clear and organized with check in/out procedures and very good communication.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was so peaceful and quiet. Our hosts were very helpful and nice. The smores were such a treat for our grandaughter. We will definitely stay again.

Quiet, clean, cozy, beautiful spot

A lovely spot to connect with old friends - everything exceeded our expectations, from the well-stocked cooking supplies to the thoughtfully-furnished rooms. Close to hiking trails, stunning night sky, and delicious bakery treats.

Great experience!

Such a fun place to stay! Super clean and quiet. The complimentary cookies and s’mores station were awesome. And the fresh sourdough bread is worth the price! Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, peaceful, thoughtfully decorated and stocked. Our family (Dad, Mom, 10 year old daughter and 8 year old daughter) spent one magical night here on our trip to see caverns and the safari. The river, creek, rolling green land, and wildlife are the perfect setting, and the yurt is so comfortable. The bedding is luxurious!

Great place for W&L Graduation Week

We stayed here for our daughter's graduation and it was a wonderful respite from the busyness of activities. From the goat herd grazing the property to the stars in the clear night sky to the warm welcome by the property owners and the awesome outdoor pavilion, it was everything we needed and more! Highly recommend!

Unique and comfortable

Had a wonderful girls trip. The property is idyllic, very clean and modern. Loved it. And having the sheep pass through was a fun way to end the stay.

Natural Bridge and Yurt Vacatuib

The Yurt is one of our favorite stays! The kitchen is well appointed and the yurt was very comfortable. The baked goods were awesome! The beef is fantastic and was a great quick meal on the grill at the Yurt. The hike up to watch the sunset was fun. A fantastic stay for our family!

Description was right on! Baked goods were delicious. Yurt was super clean with all we needed. Kids loved the creek, animals, roasting marshmallow… great place to stay!

Amazing Yurt

Close to lots of hikes and natural surroundings. We loved the outdoor fireplace! Grilled each night. Wifi was a must! Thank you for that!

Amazing Yurt

We had never been to a yurt, but this was was so well maintained and a great get away. Fantastic host with everything clearly outlined. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax!

Great place for travel with kids

Our first time in a round house was a great time. Separate sleeping quarters up in the lift for those comfortable with stairs. The hosts are very accommodating. Be prepared for giant chocolate chip cookies.

VMI Ring Figure Ball weekend

Perfect for our stay!!!! Close to VMI and ideal for us to share with our 20 yr old. Really enjoyed all the delicious baked goods i ordered! Highly recommend! We will be back 100%!

Yurt Living

Our family stayed for one night en route to Washington DC. Beautiful setting, cozy and well appointed accommodation, and brings a real feeling of adventure. Our three kids voted this the best part of our vacation. We all loved it. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay in awesome yurt!

We had a wonderful 3 day vacations in yurt. Very clean, well stacked, and very responsive hosts. The muffins and breakfast basket were the perfect touch and were very tasty!!! The yurt is in great place, very peaceful, close to a beautiful creek, also close to Lexington and breweries. Thank you Zach and April!!! We are already planning to be back!

Our stay was truly incredible. The Yurt was super unique and extraordinarily comfortable. From the cleanliness of the entire place, the super comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen and many special touches, everything exceeded our expectations. The hosts April and Zach are super friendly and wonderfully communicative. If you stay hear be sure to order the home baked scones, sour dough bread and freshly laid eggs. April bakes them fresh and they were absolutely delicious. The surrounding area offers several really cool things to do. We hiked to Natural Bridge(spectacular), visited VMI and sat on the deck at Devils Backbone Brewery for lunch and a beer overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains. We look forward to returning again.

Incredible unique stay!

Probably the most unique place my family has ever stayed! The Stillhouse Farm Yurt was inviting and welcoming and had all the basic essentials needed for a family. The kids loved the loft area, and there were plenty of beds for our family of 7. The outdoor space and fireplace was a hit. And the baked goods are absolutely delicious. A must-try! Zach and April are wonderful hosts, quick to respond and very accommodating. Looking forward to coming back again!

Comfortable, pretty clean, responsive and helpful management. We had no cell signal, you are completely dependent on the wifi if you need to make phone calls - presumably including emergency services?

Yurt at Stillhouse Farm

My husband, 3-year-old daughter, and I had a fantastic 4 day/ 3-night stay at the Yurt! We were greeted by April's incredible cookies and the animals roaming the pasture. We were close enough to downtown Lexington that we were able to head into the city and have incredible dinner and beers each evening. We were also able to quickly get to the Natural Bridge and other gorgeous spots....it was absolutely the best of both worlds. We can't thank the Nix family enough for having us and we look forward to returning again soon!
