Had a good time here. Stopped in for a UK women's basketball game. Close to the stadium, restaurants nearby. Good value.
easy to find, nice room, clean, great staff, would stay there again.
This is the second consecutive year staying at this location for an annual alumni-related event hosted by one of the local universities. Good value for the location...much less expensive than the more upscale accommodations next door. However, I encountered/noticed some minor 'issues' this year. The double room I booked only had one set of bath towels, and no bath mat. The customary hook on the back of the bathroom door was missing, but one could see where it used to be (painted over holes in the door). The television was nice, but I couldn’t find a card in the room with the channel listings. The alarm clock/radio appeared worn out and needed cleaning. I had difficulty figuring out how to set the alarm and ended up requesting a wakeup call from the front desk to ensure I awoke at the desired time. The bedspreads/covers were missing from both beds, and there were no blankets available. I checked in a little early, and wonder if the housekeepers didn’t have sufficient time to complete their work. (If that’s the case, I shouldn’t have been checked into that room.) There was a lingering unpleasant odor in the elevator…every time I used it. The complimentary breakfast offerings consisted of nothing extraordinary…dry cereal, packets of microwavable oatmeal, bagels, English muffins (butter and cream cheese for toppings), tea/coffee, juice, milk. Although I didn't use them, there are a variety of eating establishments and a well known coffee house nearby, within walking distance. The location was so convenient, but I might inquire about improvements before returning again. It’s obvious this location could use some attention to detail.
This is really a hidden gem close to downtown Lexington. If we have another convention at the arena downtown this will be where we will go back for the convenience and affordability factor. The room even though we were assigned a handicap room and was not needed nor requested was very spacious. It had high ceilings and plenty of room to maneuver, and was very quiet. This is a very solid but updated older hotel. It is is located in a hospital area but we did not hear any sirens or other outdoor noises while in the room.
check-in was a breeze. what we had requested was ready for us - handicap accessible room. room was spacious and clean. hotel was clean, staff was friendly.
Very good location and good value! It allowed me to sleep well and get to my appointment the next morning.
horrible!!! would not stay there again! It is aweful, rooms are not like pictured! stay away, unless you like dumps!
This is an excellent hotel for the price, located just across the parking lot from the Rite Aid and Campbell House, which is over double the cost (and, from staying here in the past, about the same quality). The hotel staff was extremely accommodating in allowing us a very early check-in/late check-out, and our room was upgraded. The free continental breakfast was reasonable. Our only complaint was the workout room, as the bike was in need of repair and the treadmill and weights were not working. Overall, this is a great, comfortable place to stay and a really exceptional value.
We were on a vacation covering 3 States and stayed in 3 Hotels in 4 days. This was the one we began our vacation with and it was a great start. The Inn is on a prime location on Broadway, reasonably close to the Rupp. The view of the Inn's structure from the outside is majestic. We were all struck with it, especially for the amount we shelled out. The rooms are massive, clean, aesthetic, comfortable and pleasing. The bathrooms are perfect with the biggest bathtub I have seen in any hotel. The guy at the desk, gave us the story of how and when the Inn was established when I inquired and that brought in a state of intimacy with the Inn. The complimentary breakfast was adequate but my only suggestion would be to add a few more items to the breakfast menu and add an extra $5 or 10 to the overall rate. This Inn deserves more. Overall, it was a great start to our vacation. 100% I will stay here again, if I visit Lexington.
The hotel was great. Ive stayed at this hotel numerous times before. Its right in downtown area of Lexington kentucky. Therefore its easy to travel to different places without having to go WAY outta your way to different shops. Rupp Arena is right down the road too, in case your going to an event. The room was very clean.. the staff is friendly. Check out is at noon'ish the lady told me. Which i find great cause then youre not having to rush around like a mad person trying to check out before time is up. They also have a breakfast in the morning too. Filled with all kinds of goodies to munch on. I ordered the 2 queens room.. but when i got there the guy asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite for free.. which has another little separate room, microwave, 2 tvs, refrigerator.. all the works. The beds are a little squeaky in the room we stayed in.. but in past visits i never had the problem. Love their pillows too. Very soft and fluffy. Like i said all in all i would recommend anyone to stay there. Great visit! And i will be back.
Nice hotel clean great staff nothing to much trouble. The hotel decor was a bit old but that did not detract from the stay. Breakfast could be better. Gordon Amphlett
no frig or microwave in room. Spacious. Free wifi. Tub didn't drain well.
Was very cautious about this hotel due to the great rate I got [...] for a property located near downtown Lexington. The hotel was perfect for my purpose...just overnight on business. Check-in was a little bumpy because I had to remind the desk clerk I had booked a king suite instead of a double. I was on the first floor near the elevator...which I thought might be noisy but it was very quiet. The hotel room had two rooms seperated by a door, two televisions, and jacuzzi tub. Great accomodations. The sleeper sofa didn't appear to be very compfortable (did not use it) and one of the remotes didn't work. These are all minor problems. Breakfast was very basic...but I didn't expect much for the price. This was my first stay at this property and was very pleased and impressed. Would recommend this property.
First time in Lexington, for a conference. The hotel is clean and well priced. kind of far to downtown if you don't have a car, the room was ok but some noises from outside and the elevator was down. Service at check-in very helpful.
Just what we had wanted-- good location and nice hotel!!!!!!
Wonderful staff, nice/comfortable rooms
This hotel was within two miles of downtown, and was the best value within that radius. It was definitely one of the cleanest hotels I've ever visited, and was surprised to find a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Getting in and out from the road was a bit difficult, but other than that, this is a very good hotel.
The hotel was an older building but very well maintained. It's nicer then alot of the newer hotels we have stayed in. The staff was wonderful, very friendly, curtious and helpful. The room was spotless. The bed was amazingly comfortable. It was very conviently located for our purpose. All in all we had a very nice stay and I did tell the clerk that we would definitely stay again when we return to Lexington.
The staff is very friendly.. It is an at homeatmosphere.. I thought it could be a bad hotel because of the price.. This was one of the cleanest, nicest hotels I have stayed. The bed was very comfortable..
I came to Lexington for a job fair and decided to find a hotel for a night. I stayed at the Inn on Broadway, and from the outside, it didn't look like anything special, but walking in seemed quite a bit nicer and quaint. I checked in a couple of hours early, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the fact that the beds in my room had no duvets. They only had the fleece blanket and a sheet, and looked very bare. It made the room seem less comfortable, but it didn't bother me enough to complain. There was no microwave or refrigerator in the room, which was kind of an inconveniance since I could neither save nor reheat any of the food that I bought while in town and instead had to spend more money on more food. The bathroom could use some updates, as the bathtub and shower curtain seemed like they had been there for a decade or two. The room overall was quite nice, just not very up to date. It was a nice stay overall, but nothing extravagant or special.
