Unexpected Treasure!

What an unexpected treasure! We booked this hotel as a part of a last minute fun trip based on price. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality that you get for such a reasonable price. It has a beautiful on purpose retro fun feel! Brunch was wonderful too!

So unique! It has an incredible mural on the facade and artwork throughout the interior. It also has plants everywhere. I reported a sad palm in our room that was afflicted with scale. The lady at the front desk said they had a “plant hospital” for their sick plants. Our room was huge with lots of windows. Bed was comfortable, linens were great. Lots of shopping and places to eat nearby. We were there for horse tours and the farms were a reasonable distance.

Beautiful hotel, clean, polite staff, great location. Our room was the family suite. Super spacious and cozy! I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!! The restaurant and bar is a perk. We didn’t use those amenities but they were beautiful as well. And shout out the artist the mural in the building is gorgeous!!

Always a good choice…

The Elwood is always a great place to stay. The location is convenient to Campus/Downtown. There is a very good restaurant downstairs. The hotel can be a little noisy because it’s near hospitals. But, that’s not too bad. We still slept well. The only negatives, this time, is they seem to be having an issue that required de-humidifiers in the hallways and our room was always slightly too warm. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel.

This was hands down the best overall value hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I booked a corner suite, and it honestly felt more like a fully furnished apartment than a hotel room — spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out. The entire property was very clean, and the gym exceeded my expectations with great equipment and a fresh, modern feel. What really made the stay stand out, though, was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, amenities, and outstanding value, this is it. I’ll definitely be staying here again!
