We LOVED staying at this Residence Inn!!! We had a two bedroom two bathroom loft suite with a fireplace. Felt SO cozy - just like home! Kids and our dog (Schnauzer/Yorkie mix) loved it, too! The loft gave the kids their own space with a bathroom upstairs, too! Breakfast was hot and quite delicious: scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, breakfast casserole, bagels, waffles,.cereal, fruit, coffee (with caramel syrup and multiple coffee mate flavors), juices - LOTS of options! I would HIGHLY recommend this property! We will DEFINITELY stay here when our travels bring us this way again!
Room is well equipped with full kitchen. Note it is all open in one large room. Room has some age on it, but in good repair. Everything worked except iron that was quickly replaced. Agree that rooad noise in Building 2 is high. Breakfast quality varied day to day. Below average compared to ther chains.
I stayed here for 1 night on Nov. 16, 2017 and we had 2 rooms while on a business trip. Originally they gave us 2 rooms located right next to Newton Pike Road and this was a mistake. The road noise was way too loud in building number 2. I went to front desk after 1 hour and was originally going to check out and go some place else but Keyana was working the front desk and moved us to building 9 and 10 way in the back where it was nice and quiet. She had told me that those rooms near the road are extremely loud and they always have noise problems and couldn't understand why the gal who checked us in put us there in the first place when the hotel was less than half full? At any rate we did have a good night sleep. The breakfast choices in the morning are a bit limited but enough variety to get you going. I think next time we will stay at the Residence Inn over by the airport as its closer to where our business meeting was.
We recently stayed at this property for 4 nights, while in town for a horse sale. The junior suite I stayed in, #113, which was close to the highway, was quiet & cozy. The bedding was really comfortable & I was happy to heat the room up in 5 minutes, after being out in the cold weather all day. The fireplace looked tempting, with logs available at front office. Breakfast was fairly typical & I was very surprised it was served on the 2nd floor. A few elders had trouble with the stairs. The outdoor patio/pool/tennis area looks good, centered inside of the different clusters of townhouse type buildings. Would definitely stay here again.
Was upgraded to a suite, which seemed cool until I realized that the tub was clogged badly in one bathroom, so I had to switch everything to the other. Mystery stains on carpeting that seemed to be perpetually wet and bathroom elements that were cracked and I repaired. The breakfast was very legitimate, though! Overall, not worth the price paid, but not horrible.
We stayed here for about 4 weeks while we were transitioning to the area. The rooms are set up as small apartments. The room we had was 2 bedroom and 2 bath with a small kitchenette and living room. The stove/oven made the stay easier as we were able to fix food instead of eating out all the time. The pool and basketball court were enjoyed by our kids. They are pet friendly which helped us out a lot. Onsite laundry facilities helped also, but may have been more expensive than a laundromat. Breakfast was good each morning with decent selections that rotated daily.
This is a really good hotel. Good location.... with great staff. I Think the rooms are outdated... carpets chairs etc need some updating... Would derfinately stay there again, would just hope for other stuff to be slightly better.
I came here every year for 25 years for the Rolex three day equestrian championships at the horse Park. I haven't been back in eight years. It is even better than it was before. To my delight the same staff was there. They have added daily free breakfasts, offering hot and cold choices. There is an exercise room with treadmills and barbells . They have added a laundry facility. All this and the rooms were beautiful and clean and well-equipped. I stayed for a week, could not have asked for a better stay. Very happy.
We chose this hotel becuase it is close to I-64 and we have a large family so we could all stay in the same room. The room was clean, the sofa sleeper was in need of a good coat of WD-40. Everytime my son moved it woke us up... The hotel pool was pretty popular and noisy with young adults. The bathroom had a sign that stated "Notice the hot water heater for this room only provides hot water for approximately 13 minutes." Seriously!! It sleeps 6 people but only 2 get hot water..... Like i said ive stayed in worse but will not be going back.
We stayed for one night with our grandchildren. Upon arrival we were greeted kindly and was in hope that our room was as good as the attendant. However as we traveled around the building it was obvious this hotel was in the midst of repairs and updating. Paint was peeling, and the grounds just weren't up to Marriot level. We walked in our room and immediately could tell that the people who stayed prior to us cooked with VERY strong spices such as curry and other unknowns. When we arrived home we had to wash everything and " air out" our luggage. .The room seemed clean but it's obvious they added a pullout out to make a 2 queen large suite. We had to move the couch about 3 feet for it to open properly and one could not get to the door without jumping over couch. Seemed like a fire hazard to me. After we got the children in their beds the phone kept ringing asking if our alarm was going off which it was not. The attendant did not apologize for the disruptions. Throughout the evening you could hear doors slamming and lots of noise. At one point we went outside to inquire and there were no security lights outside near our car. So my husband came back in and tried to keep things quiet with the children. In addition one of the TVS would never turn on. On a positive note the children enjoyed the pool and the water pressure was good in rooms and the mattresses were comfortable but the sheets had the "spicy" scent. The breakfast was typical but good. If we were traveling again in Lexington I would consider another Marriot. I have never had an experience at a Marriot like this one and am a elite points member who uses Marriot quite often.
