I came here every year for 25 years for the Rolex three day equestrian championships at the horse Park. I haven't been back in eight years. It is even better than it was before. To my delight the same staff was there. They have added daily free breakfasts, offering hot and cold choices. There is an exercise room with treadmills and barbells . They have added a laundry facility. All this and the rooms were beautiful and clean and well-equipped. I stayed for a week, could not have asked for a better stay. Very happy.
We chose this hotel becuase it is close to I-64 and we have a large family so we could all stay in the same room. The room was clean, the sofa sleeper was in need of a good coat of WD-40. Everytime my son moved it woke us up... The hotel pool was pretty popular and noisy with young adults. The bathroom had a sign that stated "Notice the hot water heater for this room only provides hot water for approximately 13 minutes." Seriously!! It sleeps 6 people but only 2 get hot water..... Like i said ive stayed in worse but will not be going back.
We stayed for one night with our grandchildren. Upon arrival we were greeted kindly and was in hope that our room was as good as the attendant. However as we traveled around the building it was obvious this hotel was in the midst of repairs and updating. Paint was peeling, and the grounds just weren't up to Marriot level. We walked in our room and immediately could tell that the people who stayed prior to us cooked with VERY strong spices such as curry and other unknowns. When we arrived home we had to wash everything and " air out" our luggage. .The room seemed clean but it's obvious they added a pullout out to make a 2 queen large suite. We had to move the couch about 3 feet for it to open properly and one could not get to the door without jumping over couch. Seemed like a fire hazard to me. After we got the children in their beds the phone kept ringing asking if our alarm was going off which it was not. The attendant did not apologize for the disruptions. Throughout the evening you could hear doors slamming and lots of noise. At one point we went outside to inquire and there were no security lights outside near our car. So my husband came back in and tried to keep things quiet with the children. In addition one of the TVS would never turn on. On a positive note the children enjoyed the pool and the water pressure was good in rooms and the mattresses were comfortable but the sheets had the "spicy" scent. The breakfast was typical but good. If we were traveling again in Lexington I would consider another Marriot. I have never had an experience at a Marriot like this one and am a elite points member who uses Marriot quite often.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I left my room for an hour after I checked in and someone went in my room and stole my laptop and my suitecase and the hotel took ZERO responsibility for the incident. NOT A SAFE PLACE!!!!
Cozy place to stay with family. Clean rooms, good location. Offers breakfast although the choices may not be that great but sufficient enough. During summer, since rooms are basically detached and are in open spaces, you cannot discount that insects can get inside your room but over-all I would still recommend this hotel while you are in Lexington.
I recently stayed at this hotel for the second time. both time were amazing. the rooms are very clean and well kept, the staff is great, especially Tabetha. dealing with her was like taking to an old friend. if you're staying at this hotel for business you will still feel like your on vacation.I'm already planning another visit.
My family and I stayed here over the weekend. There was 4 of us and we stayed two nights. WONDERFUL room. There was a smallish kitchen/dining room, a living room, two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, and three TVS. The upstairs bedroom was "loft" like. You couldn't run the living room tv and upstairs tv at the same time cause you would hear both....but in the bedroom right beside the tv you couldn't hear the living room tv so it didn't disturb the people in the downstairs bedroom. Could not brag about the room more. Very clean. The kitchen had full size fridge, microwave, dishes, a stove. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast on Sunday was great. My dad wanted me to put in the review that they should do gravy everyday, because he was disappointed on Monday that it wasn't there.
Consistency of Marriott continues in this quiet Residence Inn. Unique lay-out of rooms looks as if it is a little neighborhood of townhomes. This was my first stay at Residence Inn and was not disappointed with my bedroom suite. The suite was very roomy, kitchen with large refrigerator and utensils needed for our stay. Queen bed was comfortable and had and had excellent linens. I was provided all the amenities expected at a hotel. Very nice lobby and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning. Loved the ambiance of the fireplace on a cold rainy Sunday. Additionally as a convenience the front desk has logs for purchase.
I was on business trip and stayed in Residence Inn for a month. Place is neat, clean and easily accessible. Rooms are specious and also has kitchen which I was looking out for since I was on a 1 moth trip. Very courteous and helpful staff. Hotel manager Cathy is very attentive and takes care of all customer concern and comfort. A month in Residence Inn provides a real comfort which one will ask for when away from home country.
My husband travels a lot for business and is a Marriott elite traveler so we always happily stay in a Marriott property. While this hotel was clean it had a horrible mold and mildew smell. If we would have had options I wouldn't have stayed here. Will not stay again....it was awful and I had a headache and sneezed for hours after being in the room.
