When we first arrived, we were placed in Room 101, which is located directly next to the hotel pool. The layout made for an extremely disruptive experience—the pool was just steps down the hallway, and very close by was also a stairwell and an exterior door. Within minutes of being in the room, we were dealing with loud noise from the pool, doors constantly slamming, and heavy foot traffic.
At one point, we even heard voices right outside our door. When I opened it, I found a guest and their child changing clothes directly in front of our room due to its proximity to the pool. This was uncomfortable and completely unexpected.
We brought this to the attention of the front desk, and I do want to note that they handled the situation promptly. We were moved to a room on the top floor, which we appreciated, and the remainder of our evening was much more peaceful.
However, the next morning raised additional concerns. Around 8:45 AM, someone attempted to enter our room without warning. Thankfully, we had the door latch engaged. All we heard was someone say “oops” before walking away. We were left unsure if this was housekeeping or room service, but it was unsettling to have someone try to enter. Breakfast was another disappointment. We arrived around 9:30 AM, about an hour before it was scheduled to end, but most items were already gone. Hotel is also showing its age too.
