"The property was clean and convenient. However be aware that the term ‘basic soaps’ means a bottle of hand soap. There is not even a small bar soap that could also be used in the shower - had to visit the dollar store for those basics. Check out instructions also require that you wash, dry and put away dishes. However there is no dish liquid to do so - only DW detergent pouches so if you need to wash a few glasses etc you need to use liquid hand soap. Also only one dish towel. Finally and most significantly be aware of potential safety issues with access. There are steps outside required to access the property - steep, uneven steps down (which are washed out gravel, dirt, stone and railroad ties - quite treacherous especially if it’s getting dark) and another set (rickety weathered deck boards) up to the small stoop to enter the property). We would not recommend the property to anyone older or with any kind of mobility challenges. Otherwise a comfortable property."

"Uniquely appropriate for a stay in the mountains. Quaint, cute, cozy and tucked into the mountain side. Ideal for a romantic couples getaway or simple solitude. A stones through from Banner Elk and all that it has to offer. If quiet seclusion is what you’re looking for. This is the place."

"Simply AMAZING! From check-in to check-out, easy, up-front, great communications, fantastic support, and the house was like being in our own home. Perfectly located in Banner Elk. Can walk in to town and centrally located for countless surrounding activities. Everything in this property was incredible (very clean and serviced hot tub)."
