I like the view of the rooms. They clean and smell good. The staff is friendly and the restaurant food on point. The only think I would add is an outdoor pool

A real find! Old Berkshires with modernized facilities. Great service. Right on the lake. We'll be back for sure.

Very reasonable rates for decent accommodations, staff very pleasant

Mint Restaurant is top notch! Excellent Indian cuisine.

Hotel staff was very accomodataing, and povided excellent information about the area, The hotel seatting is very nice.

Comfortable nice place with great lake views but the included breakfast is exaggerated when described as a “full breakfast”. Basically, juice, toast and coffee.

So ok, the place is probably nicer in the warmer months, but in January it appeared that amenities were few. The breakfast was awful, consisting of mostly hi-carb packaged foods and some fruit. Our room refrigerator made loud noises, keeping me awake until I finally got up and turned it off. The bedding wasn't wonderful, either, with a sheet that was put on so that it only reached up to my waist, and an over-stuffed duvet that made me feel like I was being suffocated.

Sits on pretty lake where you can get a room w a balcony. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The Mint Indian Restaurant on site was some of the best Indian food I've had!!!

Very, very clean. We stayed at a national chain establishment the night before in another state and we arrived at the Black Swan after 7pm and what a relief. Everything was so neat and clean compared to the previous night. Loved the set of 3 steps leading to the main stairway, a touch of New England B&B charm in this dynamite location in the Berkshire's. Hope to get out there to enjoy one of the other seasons.

On our way back from Pennsylvania and decided to avoid the coastal snow storm and go to the Berkshires for the night. We have stayed at the Black Swan several times before anf love the in hise Indian restaurant called Mint.

Nice hotel. Lovely view. Rooms a bit dated and toilet seat was wobbly and broken. Lots of noise in the hallway . Had to turn fan on to drown out noisy hallway. Good breakfast

My wife and I stage here just to get away for one night. We were not disappointed. Even though the water was frozen we still enjoyed the view. We will be back in summer. The staff is incredible, hands down the friendliest staff I have ever dealt with. And the restaurant at the inn was great. Overall a great stay.

Very dissatisfied with hotel Key issues (twice). No houskeeping at end of day 1, simply pulled up the comforter on bed and re-arranged used pillows....didn't empty trash, pick up an/or replace glasses or towels. Two requests to get a fresh towel for the next morning. WiFi only worked one day. Have stayed there before but hotel management staff has allowed service level to deteriorate. I grew up in this town and still need to visit from time to time but will choose another hotel.

Asked if room available facing lake. Told yes but would have to pay another $40. My room already cost $300.00!!!! Also advertised pool and swimming in lake. No pool and had to drive to a beach. Person at desk didn't get up from room in the back and yells out that she would email me my receipt. Sorry, 300.00 was a lot of money for me, I expected better service.

excellent for family stay not to far from main area attractions, nice sunny pool also near a lake. check out in house restaurant for a different dining option

I did not like my first room and later was given a different one

Huge problem with the doors, key cards very inconsistent - had to have redone & the next morning after breakfast could not get into room. Maintenance had to allow in, unable to fix problem & had to move to another room & then that door would not stay locked - just pushing on handle released lock. Staff was apologetic but this is major problem, would not suggest staying here until all door locks & key system updated/replaced. Hallways very old, tired, dilapidated.

Thank you for this great review! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. A number of years ago, there was an outdoor pool, but it was not as popular because of the public beach within walking distance, so it was taken out. We hope to see you again in the near future!
