Comfort Inn Pine Grove

Nice motel, the reception service was great and the room was extremely new and well furnished. we arrived late, were able to get a discount AAA, etc. and one nice thing is that there is access only through the main lobby. Therefore it was very quiet. Nice room and not a bad little breakfast set up. It's right of I81 and easy access and MDs etc nearby.

This is certainly not one of the best Comfort Inn's I have stayed at. It is very dated, and needs some sprucing up. The pictures on the bathroom wall were extremely dirty. But, the worst was all the cigarette butts littering the entry way. Also, the manager's son (young, maybe 7 years old), made our keys. We got to the room and neither key worked. That is the worst, when you are tired and just want to unload the luggage cart. Also, the wifi did not work, not appreciated, and the hotel advertises free wifi. Breakfast was good.

This hotel was good for what we needed, an overnight stay on a long trip, but I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay. The good: is that it's a good place to stay if you plan to travel far and start early at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park. This is also a good place to start your motorcycle ride on the PA Tail of the Dragon (PA 125 north to Shamokin...and it is better to travel the route south to north to get some of the good sweepers and curves going downhill instead of uphill). The bad: is that if you are not a Jeep or Scoot-Jockey there's not much around. There's a McDonalds across the parking lot and an Arby's down the road but after that it's a fair hike to anything else. The rooms are dated and the a/c had a hard time keeping up. The shower needed updating and the sink was either off or full-on Niagara Falls super pressure. You had to try really hard not to splash everything else on the sink when gingerly turning on the tap. Otherwise, it is an extremely good bargain (the Hampton down the road was $40 more and they both offer a free breakfast.)

This Comfort Inn provides a very easy on/off of route 81 while traveling through PA. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The building is in decent shape and appears to be well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was satisfying. They are pet friendly and appear to love visitors with pets. We would definitely stay here again.

Stopped here on our way to Maine. First time at this Comfort Inn and its a nice place. The motel is a little old but is in good condition. The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Thank you Mel Farst

This place attracts families going to one or more local amusement parks and it is located off Rt 81. There was an indoor pool and exercise area. The beds were good and there was a hot breakfast consisting of waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage.

Got this hotel at a Groupon rate. For the money it was decent. Pretty clean, average size, relatively comfortable beds. There is free breakfast but it's over by 9 am. Would've preferred it to be open till 10 with teens since they didn't wanna wake up early, but there is a McDonalds right next door so no big deal. I think the hotel needs a serious upgrade as you can tell it was an older place. Paint, carpet, new fixtures, etc. would spruce it up a bit. It's also in the middle of nowhere but close enough to Hersheypark (about 30 min) if you're on a budget.

From easy access off the highway, to the most wonderful front desk clerk, we were thrilled at the professionalism and cleanliness of this hotel. Recently renovated it is just beautiful. The grounds are perfect for being pet-friendly and the breakfast was beyond expectations. Even the thirst-quenching fresh lemon water in the lobby was yet another touch that shows how much this facility understands its clientele and aims to please. We very much enjoyed our stay and would encourage anyone needing a very comfortable place in the area to choose this!

upon arrival, the front of hotel was littered with cigarette butts and a flat, dried up frog. Found we had a king bed, instead of the two queens I had booked. (Called the hotel direct to make them) Went to take some pills, almost spit them out in the sink, the water quality was horrible. Halls smelled terrible. Asked for manager, Jaon Boers, was assured he would be there at check out. He wasn't. Was also assured we would be compensated for our troubles, don't know if we have been, we were not given a paper statement so I will have to wait for my credit card statement. Don't waste your time or money here.

The hotel was just okay-- which was to be expected for the price you pay for it. It's a convenient location right off of the highway and about 30 minutes from Hershey attractions. It's also right in front of a Mcdonald's--which is convenient. The room was my least favorite part. Our tv was unwatchable and fuzzy. The desk chair was broken so that it was stuck at its lowest height. The cushion was also falling apart. The bed was sufficient--but nothing to write home about. The shower didn't seem properly cleaned, as there was rust and hair around the drain. The countertop near the sink was incredibly small and difficult to accomodate me and my travel buddy's toiletries. But again, it was a cheap hotel--- so not expecting anything outstanding. It fit our needs. I was pretty impressed with the breakfast options. The food itself was great and warm, with a variety of options. They had hot scrambled eggs and sausage, as well as a waffle maker, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, and more. They also had a juice dispenser and coffee maker that allowed you to select a classic coffee or a more bold coffee. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of seating available in the lobby, so we had to eat in our room. I also felt like staff was very attentive and friendly at checkin and checkout. Overall, decent stay in a convenient location. They could use some upgrades-- but for the price, its sufficient.
