The room was disgusting and very disappointing for the price. Extremely dated and felt filthy. The property grounds are beautiful and the location is great. But, I was incredibly uncomfortable in the room.

The property is very lovely, it is very private and feels secluded. The view is unbelievable and the sound of the ocean here is constant, very relaxing. The staff was very welcoming, courteous and thoughtful, we were celebrating our anniversary and they provided a bottle of champagne. Would definitely recommend.

I have been staying at the Riviera since 1998 the property definetely needs remodeling . A full kitchen not one dish or plate empty. the worst was $38.00/ night for parking such a rip off and 25 dollars resort fee. You can not park your own car. that means you have to tip the vallet attendants every time you go out to lunch dinner or breakfast. who do they think they are the Montage? I was very disappointed , I am not going back.

Great location and view. The room I booked definitely was not the room we received but it was close enough. Very old property and not updated but view made it worth it.

Great property and nice attitude of the staff. If you book online be ready to defend the offered free parking; the afternoon manager in turn was so cheap, that, after fighting to honor the promised promotion, manager waived the expected $25 resort fee, but charged the $38 parking fee. Fighting those extra $13 is very poor service, terrible image and just cheap and tacky. The rest of the staff were very friendly and super helpful. Do recommend the property.

We barely spent any time here, too busy to enjoy the property.

Enjoyed the location’s proximity to the main beach park and surrounding area. We took advantage of the direct beach access and thoroughly enjoyed our oceanfront views as well.

The Laguna Riviera is your own little beach house while visiting Laguna Beach. This casual hotel is perfect for a relaxing stay with direct beach access. The property is older with remodeled rooms and most rooms have fantastic ocean views. The little courtyard has BBQs for guest use and there is an enclosed pool and hot tub (hot tub not working at the time). My remodeled room was clean, had a small kitchenette, comfortable bed, but lacked the ocean view. The property sits on the west side of PCH and you can truly walk down the stairs to the beach. The hotel supplies you with beach towels and chairs for added convenience. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Parking is limited and they do charge for parking on property. The hotel has a central location and is within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. This is an affordable hotel with a beachy vibe that ensures an enjoyable weekend at the beach.

The weekday front desk was rude

This place is so great. It is in a beautiful location and so cute! walking to everything and the staff was beyond amazing. The parking was so limited but other than that it was so great and i’d definitely go again. Can’t wait to take my family

We loved the view we had! So beautiful! The only three things we didn't like were: 1) People walking in front of us when we were sitting outside of our room, but we did love the room. 2) The fridge was a little too noisy. 3) Didn't like hearing the foot steps above us. Other than this, it was great! Yesenia

I’m tired of not getting what I paid for. I chose a specific room which was the only rewarding I booked this hotel. That room Was occupied upon arrival and was give a room with filthy carpet and a limited view. Not what I chose, not what I paid for and I will never return. Staff was incredibly rude and without any care whatsoever. Orbitz failed miserably on this booking! I came in after a full day riding about 8pm and what could I do but stay. I’m so tired of false advertising and lies!! Should honestly be given a full refund for this stay!!

Don’t believe the hate on this place!! My wife and I loved our time here. The beach is easily accessible, and it’s location to other beaches and other points of interest were either walkable or a short Uber ride. The price for the 4 days we stayed was excellent and the front desk staff was incredibly kind and helpful! We will definitely be coming back for another stay at beautiful Laguna Beach!

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. Since 1998 there has been many changes to the property and the hotel policies, all which are posted on your direct website. As much as we appreciate tips for our employees it is not a requirement. Under the amenity charges we do provide dishes, utensils and a list of items upon request with the front desk agent. We appreciate the review and our staff will work on improving our services
