Not really close by to anything except a gas station/convenience store, but a pretty nice hotel overall. A little spendy for being in the middle of nowhere, but it is an easy shot right off the highway which is nice. Your wife will approve of staying here, everything is well kept.

Great time and brewski's was delicious! My room was very large and comfortable also. Would definitely recommend

I heard every door close, we could here the people above us walking. Noise levels were not good, also woke up with aback ache from the mattress

stayed for 3 nights mid August. Room was clean, very nice breakfast, indoor pool, fitness room. Extremely easy to get to from interstate 90. Did not eat at the hotels bar and burger restaurant but it is easy to drive 1 mile to be in Sparta. Small town feel but amenities better than expected.

The customer service at this hotel is excellent! I wasn't expecting much for a $99 room in Sparta, WI, but I was wowed! The room was very clean and everything was maintained well. I asked to check in 2 hours early, and they accommodated me with no problems. I even got a courtesy call when I had been checked in for about an hour asking how my room was, if everything was up to my standards and expectations, and if there was anything else they could do for me!

Loved the hotel! It was comfortable. Everything we needed was there. Great place to get away

My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel, first impression was very good, friendly staff, nice room, quiet, nice accommodations and amenities. Only down side we came across was a couple of very long curly hairs in our bed (we both have relatively short hair cuts so for sure it wasn't ours!) when we arrived and inspected the sheets. We called front desk and she promptly offered us new bed sheets, pillow covers, etc. Morning breakfast was nice, clean, and decent for the price we paid. Housekeeping needs some improvement, but other then that a good place to stay.

Had a great time, enjoyed the pool and little kid play area in the pool - the alligator. Breakfast was good also!

Polite, helpful staff. Decent restaurant for a simple dinner after travel.

We were trying to find a hotel in LaCrosse to visit family, but everything was booked except for the high price rooms/hotels ($180 in LaCrosse, WI!!). When I widened my search I stumbled upon this hotel and saw that it had 3 indoor pools and a couple pool slides for under $100. It was great for my 3 kids to go swimming and not too far away from LaCrosse that we plan to stay there the next time we visit our family. The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable!

Overall our stay was good. The room was comfortable, with good amenities. Liked the tv in the bathroom even if it was old school. It would have been nice it was a bit larger or just had a better setup for table and chairs (we had one friend in our room for dinner and it was not the easiest to eat). The breakfast was decent, although the staff who ran it was unfriendly and couldn't wait for it to be closed so she could clean up. What upset me the most was our check-in. The GSR was very rude and wouldn't let us change rooms so we had one closer to our friend who was already checked in. The reason apparantly was becuase we brought our dog, which we had to pay an extra $20 for. Dogs are only supposed to be allowed on the first floor, although I'm not sure how this was a problem since we were already on the second floor (too many people must have requested it) and we had actually called earlier in the week to let them know we were bringing a pet. It seemed like a big inconvenience to the front desk rep. to even ask, but it actually was an inconveince to me as I neither had the pleasure of being close to my friend nor did I have the close proximity to the outdoors so I could easily relieve my dog outside. Seriously they're lucky we told them because he's 9 lbs and we could have snuck him in a purse if we wanted. I would definitely peruse other hotels before booking this hotel again despite they many great things they have going for them in terms of amenities.

Our trip was focused on visiting my father but relaxing in the whirlpool and sauna for the remainder of the stay. We have stayed at other Best Westerns and each of them have been bad experiences. So, we thought perhaps we would try it with the hopes of it better than our other stays with this chain hotel. We just want to tell the facts and not stay in another Best Western again. 1. The room was not cleaned and had what it looked like as blood splatters under the sink with something on the wall. The toilet had a black water ring resembling mold. There was mold where the tub meets the floor. I think it's called the tub seal. 2. The chairs were soiled terribly that I had to ask the desk attendant for 2 cleaner ones. These were the only two dining room type chairs to sit on. The chairs were replaced but the replacements were dusty to the point where we wondered if they even cared. The refridge was so old that is made a whining sound and did not work after 2 hrs. We decided since it made noise and did not work to just unpluged it and then we could at least get sleep. Sleep is really what I wanted but the doors slamming at 6:30 in the morn was annoying. The bed was lumpy and felt like I was in anotherr body form. Could not get comfortable. My husband's side of the bed was also uncompfy. So, we decided to check out the pool/whirlpool & sauna. WELL, it was ICE cold! All pools and whirlpool! There was a hose with COLD water running into the main pool. I could not even wade in the water. I told the manager but he said because of all the useage, they had to refill the pool. He also told me that when he checked it that morning of complaining that it was 81 degrees. I HARDLY THINK SO. Does he think I am stupid? We checked the temp and it was NOT 81 degrees. Whatever, but to my surprise, he did give us $25 back for the inconvience of the swim area. No money can make up for a bad stay in my opinion. Soooo, moving on to the eating area... the night we arrived the juice and coffee machine were working so we took it upon ourselves to have an O.J. and coffee, thinking that they were for the guests. To my surprise the desk person told my husband that juices and coffee are not allowed and that we should not be drinking them. The girl forgot to turn them off. As I remember, they were complimentary at other places. Geez. Like I felt welcome. ??? The attendant had a very stone face and very unpersonalbe attitude as if I was making trouble. Yeah, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO. The waffle iron was broke and the kitchen lady stated that they will not fix it and has been broken for 2 years! The lady who handled the food and cleaned up did not wear gloves. She used her hands to swipe the crumbs on the floor. I also saw her scratch her head a couple of times. yuck. The fridge in the kitchen area was not cold at all. Warm milk and yogurt were gross. I could not finish my yogurt. after 2 bites. So... when we checked out, the manager stated to be careful in the parking lot because it was slippery... it was very icy and slippery. But the best part was..... they did not put SALT down, so it was as if we skated to our car with luggage, holding on to each other for fear of falling. Need I say more?

Not a bad location, convenience of a pub & grill inside. kids loved the pool. definitely would consider staying here again.

The pool was great! Which is open until 11pm! There was a baby pool w/ a little slide & even a big slide for the adult pool. Breakfast could've been better; cereal, make-your-own waffles (pretty good), toast/bagels/danish, and juices/coffee. Would have been nice to have some hot foods & meat. The rooms have an a/c/heat thermostat hooked to the unit which was irritating to use, kept saying it was 78 though I set it for 72. I had to wake up a few times in the night to adjust it. The refrigerator in the room was making an annoying buzzing/whining sound all night. We moved beds to keep away from it. The bathtub was spacious & there is a tv in the bathroom too (my husband liked that!) The cubbies w/in the wall had some cobwebs and the bathroom itself could have been cleaner. The sheets & bed were comfortable. Overall, I would stay here again in this city but I'd probably look for a Holiday Inn Express if that were an option instead. Hope this helps!

The hotel was clean and nice. This hotel and the room served our purpose for our trip.

the hotel was very nice and the staff are very friendly. Our only complaint was after riding all day we were looking forward to relaxing in the spa, but the jets were not working. Other than that our stay was great and we will be back again.
