Where to begin with this hotel and it’s sheer awfulness? Let’s start with rooms. I stayed 14 days and not a day occurred where I didn’t have to phone down because the they forgot something during make up - soap, towels, laundry bags, laundry tickets, water. Often waiting in vain I ended up going to reception to get it myself Food. Cold, uninspiring (this is Malaysia, the home of great food), bland, poor quality ingredients (the beef really did die of old age). Breakfast especially was poor. Stale bread, no proper coffee and the attitude of staff - as poor as the food Staff. With one or two notable exceptions these guys care little or nothing for the people who (they clearly don’t understand) pay their wages. Everything is too much trouble, even asking for a coke at dinner gets a wince in return. Make a complaint and get a shrug at best or they just walk off. Don’t trust them with your tailored shirts or white cotton Summary. Poor value for money, no understanding of international standards of customer service, old decor, bad remedial work when done. Current owners clearly milking this place as a cash cow for as long as they can Find another - there’s plenty
I have been staying on and off in the Empire Hotel for the last 8 years. When I first when the place was clear and the service was good, how things have changed over the years. The common areas are generally in pretty good shape, and outwardly it looks like a very nice, if not somewhat unconventional place. But behind that, the place is badly run down and dirty, truly lacking from any real investment, and it shows. Dirty carpets, stained and water damaged ceiling and in the room I stayed in the shower was fixed at a hight of 4 foot? It need a major refit, one floor at a time. Sadly, this will be my last visit to the Empire... Such a shame.
The hotel is located in Subang Jaya Suburb There is a small shopping center Many restaurants and cafés are located on the entrance to the hotel The hotel is close to Sun Lagoon Water Games Supang Jaya Place of Hadi The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly Breakfast is good and varied
Spacious room, modern design. Suitable for business or leisure. Connect with Empire Gallery Shopping Mall. Walking distance to Subang Parade. Many F&B outlets within walking distance. Swimming pool is only for guests above 18 years old and above.
The frequent breakdown of escalators had caused great inconvenience to shoppers. I would not recommend tourists to visit this mall unless the mall management backless up on the maintenance. Other than this, every is pretty fine. For tourists, it is better to visit Sunway Pyramid which is approx 10 mins away from the Empire Subang.
The pictures on the website depicts spacious rooms and modern. We were really disappointed upon checking in. The check in was slow and service was bad despite no line ups. We were not given directions on where our room was located nor where the elevators were and no help was offered despite having 3 large suitcases and 1 toddler. Once we got to the room, again it was very disappointing! It is certainly not value for money . The room was tiny and more like a transit hotel instead of a hotel attached to a mall. It’s also far from the airport . We chose it thinking it would be better than a hotel at the airport and it is definitely not by any means a 4 star girl as advertised. I think it’s more like a 2-3 star hotel at the most. From the website and exterior it looks great but it’s like a bunker inside the room ! The only thing that was positive is that it has wifi and it was clean. It advertised as having a pool but that’s also a lie. The pool is for adults over 18 only so not child friendly at all. I would not return again, especially since it’s so far from the airport and is a transit hotel more than anything else. The mall was pretty bad too and food was expensive and mediocre at most.
Had a family room with 2 King size beds. Very spacious room, with bathroom, which has a walk-in shower. The room is in need of a little renovation, it does have wear n tear, but the most important thing is, it's clean! Attached to shopping mall and some good night life, if you fancy a beer. I found a place called "the social", which was located 1 floor up on the escalator which right outside the main entrance to the hotel. Live band and cheapest drinks in the area. I took the KTM to subàng Jaya station and walked to the hotel which was 10 minutes. I needed to get to Subàng Airport from the hotel, so ordered a Uber taxi which took 15 minutes at rm18. Would definitely stay again.
One thing that I love the most of this hotel is being part of the mall, so it's so much easy to find food or relax. Moreover, the breakfast is amazing. They provide a variety of food from healthy to local. Love it very much and most important thing the price is reasonable. Anytime I have a business trip, this is my first option for now in Subang.
We stayed here on 4th Feb. The room setting was good , the bed was comfortable BUT i was surprised they didn't provide toothbrush and toothpaste and no hand held shower head in the bathroom which makes it hard to shower my 2 year old baby. Other than that the service was good.
If you're staying in subang for business and need somewhere accessible to the LRT train station and good restaurants then this is the place you should choose.nice rooms and service.and again you go shopping downstairs too
